joeroy Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 Anyway this place is much brighter than the darkside *sing* Quote
joeroy Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 just saw the new FBTB forum it is up here http://www.fbtbforums.net/index.php. Now they don't accept email for hotmail, yahoo and gmail for register but you can change yor profile after register. There are 10 rules yo need to follow. I don't like all the ideas of the new FBTB Quote
The Middleman Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 Yeah, after being here, FBTB is way too uptight. I'm sticking with EUROBRICKS! :D Quote
Orlego Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 Well I would no longer be allowed to post... No "off-topic threads" :-D ;) We do have one rule here that sums up everything they have. That rule is... RESPECT EACH OTHER!!! Nuff said right? BTW... I had to laugh reading it because of the repetitive use of the word "Management". All I could think of is the HBO series Carnivale. ;) Quote
Jipay Posted February 5, 2005 Author Posted February 5, 2005 From now we will use the same rules for eurobricks... here are the ones : "From Bricks to Bothans Forums are for a diverse group of people sharing a common interest. Management is dedicated to providing a friendly and welcoming community to all. You are a guest of FBTB and will treat others with respect. To that end, your application for Membership is also your agreement to abide by the rules outlined below in order to maintain a fun and pleasant environment for everyone. Repeated violations of these rules may result in temporary or even permanent removal from the forums. " I had a hard time trying not to fall asleep until the end of this :/ First rule of management is try to make your message simple and stupid so everybody can get it. :| "1. Use of inappropriate language will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, statements, images, usernames, and words that are sexual, vulgar, obscene, profane, defamatory, abusive, hateful, bigoted, or otherwise offensive to others; thinly-veiled obscenities (using alternate letters/symbols); harassment and verbal attacks intended to belittle, humiliate, threaten, or cause embarrassment to another Member; and material advocating or discussing illegal activities. " What the megabluck is that ? I mean, use a word filter ! And by the way, my neighbour is selling drugs to kids so don't hesitate to pm me if your want some :D "2. Members are not to post personal or confidential information about any other person, and are encouraged to exercise good judgment about revealing one Quote
Jipay Posted February 5, 2005 Author Posted February 5, 2005 I just noticed that my account is still inactivated. The ones before me are activated, the one after aswell :-D looks like a "we don't want you here" thing :/ Quote
Darth Drew Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 After being at Eurobricks, I don't really think I want to go back to FBTB. Put downs, arguements, lies, etc. it is not worth it. Eurobricks is like the Westin Hotel and FBTB is like Motel 6. You can see the difference! Quote
Vader Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 Good god theyve gone completly insane, i wonder what tim saupe thinks of his creation these days? i remember when the site was friendly and fun, now it seems that the admins are all power mad jumped up little twats. Oh no i said twats does that mean my account will be deleted???? oh powerful admins please have mercy on me. ;) The next thing that they will be asking for is for all members to be dressed in suits whilst posting. Jon. Quote
sam89 Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 I'm not active yet either. It does seem strange that all or most of the members who are active now are American, especially since Jon and Jipay signed up a long time before some of the americans who are active now :/ Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 OK, you guys want to go to FBTB? All that happens there is older members gang up on the younger ones. Quote
joeroy Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 With those strict rule, this will scare off all new members. Com'on Lego is just a toy why make life so difficult!!! We are here to enjoy collecting and collect share ideas and etc.... What going to be if there is so much rule in the board. sign.... *devil* Quote
The Middleman Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 Well, Eurobricks has over 200 members now - FBTB, while still reopening, has 157... I think we can pull it off, and become a more popular forum than FBTB. Quote

Vader Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 I dont think it matters how many people we have here, all that i care about is maintaining the atmosphere and friendly interaction that we have. :) Quote
