Joual Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Im not angry at anyone right now, it just made me sad to read this thread (particularly before some stuff was removed today). There's room in cyberspace for more than one Lego site, and my only wish is that we can co-exist in peace and respect eachother. I think I can speak for the whole FBTB-staff when I say that we have no interest in threads that expresses negative opinions about other websites. If one of our members has a problem with something here at Eurobricks, I would strongly suggest that they move over here to let you know what the problem is. Complaining at FBTB about a Eurobricks problem isn't going to solve anything, just like complaining here about what's wrong with FBTB isn't going to solve anything over there. And have patience with the registration thing - the staff is working on it. Quote
Jipay Posted February 6, 2005 Author Posted February 6, 2005 Well I'm sure we can co exist without any problem since we already do that. I must ad we haven't noticed the name calling, but i deleted it as soon as i saw what you were talking about. Well actually if someone was talking about eurobricks on fbtb, i'll knew it since I browse many websites everyday, just to keep me up to date and try to find the last cool stuff available for our folk here *satis* I think you could learn a lot from what people have to say about fbtb, but most of the time they don't dare to do it in the forum. I truely think that if someone start a thread on fbtb saying : "well maybe we oculd do this", or "well this is not right in my opinion" he'll have some big troubles with most of the members. Anyway if you guys have ideas for our website, we are really open, even if we don't have a lot of time lately since we have things planned for the incoming months *surprise surprise* My account has been re-inactivated so I can't put a valid email adress :/ I must also add that you are the admin I respect the most at fbtb; so you beeing sad just hurt my heart >-| Quote
Joual Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Jipay: about your account being reinactivated: I know that some members had problems with their accounts when they were trying to replace the registration e-mail addres with another one. Unfortunately, I'm not the right person to fix technical issues :/ Send an e-mail to Ace or Denise (fbtbforumadmin@gmail.com), and let them know about it. Et je crois que je suis peut- Quote
Jipay Posted February 7, 2005 Author Posted February 7, 2005 Mmhhh Peut-etre I dunno anything about swedish though :/ Quote

Joual Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 TeeTee I need your help !!! *satis* Muahahaaa!! No normal person is awake in Denmark right now - there's no one out there to help you! *glasses* Quote
Jipay Posted February 7, 2005 Author Posted February 7, 2005 Alone, once again fniff. Anyway, the swedish flag is not up there because I haven't finish the work on this yet (eh eh *glasses* impressed by my swedish skills ? ) And just on a side note, TeeTee is far from being a normal person... maybe an alien or something like that, but definitly not normal :-D Quote
Jipay Posted February 7, 2005 Author Posted February 7, 2005 I have one question about the 'not your billboard' rule. Seems like it prevent you from annoucing any major creation :/ We have a big one in the pipe and it should be presented to the public soon (within some weeks hopefully). How can we advertise on fbtb ? - without breaking the rule of course Quote
Fez Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 I have one question about the 'not your billboard' rule. Seems like it prevent you from annoucing any major creation :/ We have a big one in the pipe and it should be presented to the public soon (within some weeks hopefully). How can we advertise on fbtb ? - without breaking the rule of course No, the rule only states that you can't post a new Thread about "HAY DOODZ COME CHECK OUT MA NEW SITE IT'S REALLY COOL". YOu know, insted of acctually posting a MOC. Quote
Joual Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Here's a good rule: If you're not sure - ask Ace or Denise. You can send them a PM, or reach them at: fbtbforumadmin@gmail.com Since I don't know the details, and I'm not the one who handles issues abuot MOC's, I'm not the right person to ask... Quote
The Middleman Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Yeah, cause I'm wondering, is it ok to link to Eurobricks.com from FBTB? The whole respect-the-brick deal and all, you know. Quote
Joual Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 It's not okay to make a big "come to Eurobricks, we're the best forum" -post. But I would say that it's okay to put a small link in your signature, according to the here so much ridiculed Code of Conduct: Personal signatures that are not blatant advertisements will be allowed within reason; keep all personal signatures tasteful and their size to a minimum in consideration of those with slower Internet connections. Quote
The Middleman Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Alrighty then, I was really wondering because in some cases I've seen links to Rebelscum shot down. ;) Quote
Joual Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Ah, yes, Rebelscum.. that one. Let's just say that Rebelscum is a special case. But since you're not planning to put a link to Rebelscum in your signature, that's not a problem. Quote
Jipay Posted February 8, 2005 Author Posted February 8, 2005 What about rebelscum ? rahhh I missed something !!! Tell me more *satis* Quote
The Middleman Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Because of the 'respect the brick' rule on FBTB (meaning that leaked pics can't be shown), and Rebelscum is THE leader in leaked Star Wars LEGO pics... conflicts have arisen. Quote
Jipay Posted February 8, 2005 Author Posted February 8, 2005 Mhhh, I see. So bad... Both websites target the same audience :/ Quote
The Middleman Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Mhhh, I see. So bad... Both websites target the same audience :/ That's what I was thinking. Quote
DoubleT Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 And just on a side note, TeeTee is far from being a normal person... maybe an alien or something like that, but definitly not normal :-D Hmm just had to say: It takes one to know one ;) Quote
