Pingles Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Had to dig through the shelves but found one Red Cargo Train at my local TRU. Was $25 off today!
Murdoch17 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 (edited) Hey everyone, I was looking around for the instructions for Steve Demlow's Bipolar electric locomotive kit and found his old website from around 2001.Here is that site: http://www.visi.com/...olar/index.html I emailed him my instruction request at the address located on the bottom of that page and have got no reply.(I've waited around 1 & 1/2 weeks) I've got no idea if Stevew Demlow is even alive anymore, much less checking his old site's e-mail. The only other way to get one is to get the actual kit sent from Hong Kong from this seller: http://www.bricklink...itemID=19853178 . The price is quite high, and not to mention shippping to mid-US would be a ton of cash as well. Thus my question is this: If anyone has the kit, would you please: A) Build an LDD model of the engine (if you have the kit) and please upload it to EuroBricks. B) Scan the isntructions and send them to me. These instructions could really be usefull to me, as I want to display the engine in the Saint Louis, Missouri, area, (the same city where the last Bipolar is located) and get the engine to run at shows. Can someone please help me? Edited December 9, 2012 by Murdoch17
MojoLego Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 (edited) Amazon's stock of the city train sets looks to be depleted in the next week if numbers are correct. Traditionally, this has signaled set retirement. Shall we get a new city train set in time for the 2013 toy fairs (not including the Lone Ranger train)? Update on train availability in the US: -3677 is sold out at Lego US. TRU lists it as available online and in store. -7938 is out of stock but will ship Dec. 30 at Lego US. Amazon has 226 units and is dropping quickly. -7939 is in stock at Lego US. Amazon has 331 units, also dropping quickly. -10219 is sold out at Lego US. Amazon's own stock appears to be gone and it is now limited to third party retailers who are pushing up the price. also -7937 is in stock at Lego US. Amazon has 220 units. Can someone please help me? I did a quick google search on his name - and saw pages updated in 2006 There is a Steve in Minneapolis on LinkedIn http://www.linkedin.com/pub/steve-demlow/4/363/9bb And in 2006 he still seemed to be present on the Lugnet http://news.lugnet.com/trains/?n=27063&t=i&v=a http://www.lugnet.com/people/members/?m=36 And he lists as being a member of this LUG http://gmltc.org/

Amazon.de currently has 3677 for around € 110,- (depending on your local VAT). I think you won't find it much cheaper in Europe.
LEGO Guy Bri Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Amazon/US only has 14 3677 Red Cargo Train's left, but at $250/pc! It's more expensive than the 10194 Emerald Night and 10219 Maersk Train!

MojoLego Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 In the US market, Lego trains became hard to find about mid-December. Lego S@H went to "ship in 30 days." Amazon sold out (except for the small mercenary storefronts). Toys R Us has a spotty supply and I suspect they would have sold out on-line if they had better store stock tracking (for a while they kept listing the trains as unavailable on-line). In Europe, I see that Lego S@H still has plenty of trains. I suspect Lego is transferring stock from Europe to the US (hence the 30 day wait). The fact that Amazon has not refilled their supply of 7938 and 7939 tends to suggest that they are done ordering these sets. Will Lego introduce a new City set at the 2013 toy fairs?
badgrdanc Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Dang, she's gone http://search2.lego....lang=2057&cc=US d
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Been gone for a while. All the chit-chat on it is here
badgrdanc Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Sorry. I'm a moron. Don't know how that slipped past me. d
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 No worries, it's been hiding, no new posts lately
icemorons Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Does anyone have a good reference for the retirement timeframe of 60051 and 60052? They can't be around more than 3-4 more months with 60197 and 60198 about to be introduced in 2H18... I'd like to pick up at least one more copy of each, but haven't seen any retailers with discounts on them since ~July 2017. They stayed at or near MSRP all through the holiday season, unlike previous years when they were discounted considerably.
JopieK Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 Hi icemorons. Welcome to Eurobricks. Please don't kick very old topic. You can discuss this in the 2018 train topic.
