Arsenal fan here. I like the new additions but ugh...sometimes watching this team is like pulling teeth. Lack of intensity at times and poor defensively for years now. Vermaelen has been pretty terrible since becoming captain, and Andre Santos is absolutely terrible. We might have "only" lost 2-1 to Manchester United but it was a complete walk in the park for Man U.

I am loving the fact that Manchester City is struggling mightily in Champions League. Even if they overtake Ajax sooner or later (who actually looked more impressive than Man City when the 2 played), there's absolutely no way Madrid or Dortmund will falter that badly to let Man City take 2nd in that group. Just goes to show that to win in Europe you need more than money and random talent. Tactics play an even bigger part.

Santos is an absolutely abysmal player and shouldn't be in the 11 of a team of supposed 'quality' players!

Great to see Giroud hitting the back of the net today. Don't know what trick the defense were pulling though. With the defensive team they played today, one would really expect a lot more.

I don't think Vermaeleon should be captain. It seems to be affecting his playing for the worse. :sceptic: Arteta?

Arteta is possibly too big headed for the role. In my opinion it should be Wilshere when he's fit and maybe even ox as vice.

Yeah...possibly Wilshere. The thing about him is that he's been gone for 1 1/2 years almost, he's still just a kid, and he has way too much expectation on his shoulders.

Koscielny for captain! :sing:

Another victory for Barcelona!! 31 out of 33 possible points!! Amazing!!

:wub_drool:

Zlatan's performance against England was unbelievable! 4 goals, and what goals then!

Especially the fourth!

After his performance last night, I'm forced to edit the poll...

I have to say that I am really impressed by Shaktar! I didn't really expect them to qualify from this group, when I first saw it, and certainly not to qualify with a game in hand. Great stuff! Valencia were impressive against Munchen. None of the magics were particularly epic tonight though, in my opinion. I look forward to some of tomorrow's matches though.

Messi is the best out of those three by far.

Tonight the big match A.C. Milan vs. Turin Juventus

GO, DEVILS! AND JUVE GO HOME!

Seems like the Manchester clubs are pushing ahead of the others. Will they end up on top again this season? The other top clubs are all slipping up seriously, but I still don't think the Manchesters' performances are stable enough to make me think that they will hold out. I guess we'll see.

I totally predicted an all-German final. Congratulations Bayern and Borussia, At least Real Madrid kept their game interesting, Barcelona were horrific in both matches.

He pulverizes with brilliance!

Suarez should be in the poll

Suarez should be in the poll

Yeah, he is amazing, but I feel all the controversy surrounding him, like the biting and racism, has held back his chances of ever winning Worlds best Player.

I voted for Ronaldo, as he and Messi are the same, except Ronaldo can head and take free kicks.

If you look at the ratio of freekicks taken to freekicks score. I am quite certain that Messi will have a higher percentage of goals scored from freekicks. Ozil was a better freekick taker than Ronaldo. Srna for life though! *oh2*

Suarez should be in the poll

Yes he is playing amazingly at this time. But as 'Captain Settle' said, he has a lot of controversy surrounding him like racism and the Ivanovic incident :sceptic:.

Anyway, the transfer market is coming soon. I'm a Man. United fan and rumors are saying that they're are looking to purchase Sneijder from Galatasaray. I hope that transfer is going to materialize :purrr: .

Suarez is in insanely brilliant form right now.

Any World Cup predictions? Who will take the cup this time around? As always I'm all out for Switzerland...at least a run to the quarters...please!

Disappointed in Fred today. Used to enjoy him a bit, but that blatant cheating in today's match has just really turned me sour on Brazil. Olic was pretty magnificent and Oscar worked his megablocks off, but the Croatian goalkeeper was lousy in Brazil's two goals from open play. I'm still backing Croatia though, they were hard-done out there.

Brazil. . . oof! Now I feel okay about having to work through Mexico vs Cameroon. Hopefully I will get to see most of Spain vs Netherlands. And I'll have to contain my enthusiasm for the Aussies when they face Chile.

I don't really have any favorites over the weekend, but have mixed feelings about Germany vs Portugal. I usually support Germany as long as they aren't playing the US, but I will be hoping for the improbable; a 0-0 tie. Yes, I think the US will do well against Ghana this time.

Goodness gracious. Absolute mauling this evening. Good luck, Netherlands. Payback has never been sweeter!

I went into watching this game as a neutral, but after Costa's winning Spain a rubbish penalty I was always going to support Netherlands. They returned my love beautifully.

Amazing game between Spain and the Netherlands. I though Spain were bossing it, but they got outplayed and it turned into a rout. I'd fancied a Spain/Brazil final but that isn't going to happen now.

So maybe the winners going to come from Brazil, Germany, or Argentina

I only got to see the last 15 minutes of Spain vs Netherlands, and by that time it looked like Spain had all but given up. Rematch of rematches for the Netherlands.

I root for the Ausies because of the people, not really because of the team. But at the half they've made Chile take them seriously. Hoping for an upset, but being realistic.
