QM Note: I'll move the quest on soon, got to build the next set. "Ah, I see." stated Sylph. "That's a shame. You are a very powerful addition to our team young one. I thank you for your assistance." (OoC: take your time.) OOC: I should have two meads, I bought one at the Market Place before I came." "Sylph," Alexandre says in a friendly voice," Are you sure the loot is fair? I got quite a sum, and I didn't do a thing... I'm not complaining, and I'll greatly take it, though." "We will be visiting the market once we free Arya. There will be consumables there, and you will need them. Welcome to the team." Edited November 3, 2012 by Dannylonglegs Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) "Ayla. *wheeze* her name is Ayla." Punii seems a tiny bit irked about you mispronouncing his adoptive mother's name... "Sorry. Ayla. I'm not that good with names." Stated Sylph earnestly, masking the fact that he hadn't cared enough to remember her actual name. (OoC: It's not often that I give an accurate depiction of what's actually going on inside Sylph's brain. He is a magnificent liar, so don't let Punii know that he actually doesn't care. ) Edited November 3, 2012 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Endgame Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 Being careful to step over the dead, crippled, and disfigured Proggs, the party proceeds to the Commerz Bank. Squeezing through a gap in the bleachers, Punii leads them down a twisty path. They soon find themselves outside the Commerz Bank. What will the party do? Quote
Endgame Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 QM Note: How, exactly, will you smash the door down? Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 I'll bodyslam it (7 foot werewolf) and if that doesn't work, I hit the hinges with my sword. Quote
Endgame Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) Lycan runs, roaring like a madman (madwolf, rather) and slams his hairy body into the door. He slumps down lamely, his attempt a fialure. he pulls out a sword and swings at the hinges. Th sword bounces off, and Lycan notices there is an ethereal ice coating the hinges. Dannylonglegs Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) "Well, we could revisit the Toxiproggs and get them to dig us in." suggested Sylph unconvinced. "Or..." Sylph said, thinking "Elgar, you're a spellcaster, right? Why don't you use your ability to make a hole in the wall." Edited November 3, 2012 by Dannylonglegs Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 If its got a magical shield over the door hinges, I imagine the walls do too and I really don't want to be standing here if the evokers spell backfires. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 If its got a magical shield over the door hinges, I imagine the walls do too and I really don't want to be standing here if the evokers spell backfires. "I doubt it'll backfire. More likely it'll just fail. Even if it does, I'm a druid and we've got a paladin so all ailments can be cured. It's up for Elgar to decide." Quote
Endgame Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) Elgar attempts to lightning a hole through the wall, but it is to no avail. Putting his hand on the wall, Sylph can tell the entire building was coated in a thin layer of ethereal ice. The nearby fountain gurgles... Edited November 3, 2012 by Endgame Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 That's it. Ice is colder than water. If we can direct the water from the fountain at the walls, it should melt the ice. Quote
Endgame Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 Hearing Lycan's proclamation, Punii gets on the fountain's edge and looks at his reflection. What he sees is a small yellow creature covered in dirt and dust. "I really should *wheeze* take a bath, but probably not in here..." Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Looking over Punii, Sylph sees the water feeds into some tubes that seem to feed underneath the Commerz Bank. "Ah, as I suspected." States Sylph. "Who's small and knows how to swim?" Sylph looks at Punii. "Punii, do you think you'd be able to hold your breath long enough to get through these tubes and break through to the bank?" Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Why be so complicated? Does anyone in the party have an aquamarine? If so give it to elgar, and he can put more water down the pipes, flooding the bank, and hopefully stopping the magical shield. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 "That's a great idea! If it doesn't work, we always have the magic approach, not to mention my fire bomb may be able to do something. Or maybe my Armor Piercing Sword could cut through the magical ice shield thing." Quote

Ayla had that *cough* thing installed because people would throw gold in there and we *wheeze* wanted to reap the benefits. And now, flooding the bank probably isn't a *wheeze* good idea! First of all, I live there. Second, that'll alert Rhodus. Third, what if Ayla is down there and she got hurt? With that little *wheeze* rant aside (sorry ) shall I head down the tubes?" Fugazi Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 "This sounds like a plan." Galen eyes Punii. "Don't... um, take any unnecessary risks, okay?" While Punii tries to infiltrate the bank, Galen moves to a window and has a look inside. He tries to spot the basin of water Punii mentioned earlier, as well as any living beings. Quote
Endgame Posted November 4, 2012 Author Posted November 4, 2012 (edited) "Here *wheeze* I gowwwwyrrhghghghghghuuurglelelelleleghgh..." Punii leaps into the Fountain. At first his jump appears graceful, but he is suddenly sucked down the drain. Minutes pass. The party twiddles their thumbs and paces nervously, wondering what fate may befall the little yellow chap. Galen, his eyes on the window, suddenly sees a door creak open... and a soaked Punii slips in! He scurries across the tiled floor and heads to the door... where he detonates a bomb, blasting the door off. The charred door falls over, and a triumphant Punii stands behind it. "Backside of the door *wheeze* was iced over too, so I blew it up. We should probably prepare before we head deeper *cough* into the bank..."
