Endgame Posted March 20, 2013 Author Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) QM Note: We already did the parkour section: you guys ran across a crumbling bridge while it was stormng, being assaulted by lightning bolts and lectrified harpoons from above. And now you're in free fall, smacking pieces of rubble into a maniacal emperor's face to kill him. Parkour enough? Eidolon seems a tad mournful when recalling his father - for once, he was demonstrating an emotion besides narcissism and anger. He had a heart... but it was black as coal and twisted well beyond repair. "My father vanished 800 years ago, and no Progg has seen him since. He was a peaceful being, none too infatuated with violence. After having to resort to that slaughter and losing our mother in the process, something changed in him. Though he once saw a world full of possibilities, he finally saw this crapsack world for what it truly was. Disenchanted with a world full of violence, pestilence, famine, war, he simply disappeared off of the face of Olegaia..." The party once again gets incredbily lucky for some period of time - Eidolon's limbs were dropping like flies, and when his last wing was clipped the Emperor would be fully vulnerable. The storm seems to be at its crescendo, the deafensing sounds of howling winds and rumbling thunder practically drowning out every word being said. Only Eidolon's voice, amplified by the hurricane, can be heard over the cacophony. But instead of leaving biting remarks he was becoming desperate - he could tell that the odds were no longer in his favor. In his fury he grabs Hal and smashes him into the side of the tower, knocking the captain unconcious. The battle rages on, and it was just about over! "WHAT ARE YOU?!" Dannylonglegs Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 "What's the strategy Sylph?" "We break his wings, and then make him fragile. He'll suffer 300 damage in the next 3 rounds, not counting what we do to him this round. Then we all die when we hit the ground." Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 "And that's your master plan? " "Pretty much, yeah." Stated Sylph bluntly. "It'd be lovely not to die... And we may be falling slowly enough to live possibly, but yeah, that's about it.... I could try calling on the roots of life to greet us at the bottom, but let's deal with that when we get there." Eidolon reels in pain as Sylph make shim fragile. The Emperor shivers, on the ropes and inching closer and closer to defeat.
