Endgame Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 QM Note: I'm going to have to say "no" on that one - for the simple reason that a hexed hero technically isn't a target. He is still in your party, just a bit... confused. Quote

Defending Perfect Reget (+4 SP to Perfect Regret, -0 Levels to self) The party manages to get this downhill battle back on track, already beginning to falter in the face of death itself. Johon manages to hit Rhodus, knowing that The Progg had murdered his parents centuries upon centuries ago... but it was for naught. The Sword of Decay pings off harmlessly, a disoriented Johon nearly getting skewered by Rhodus's sweeping tail. The prince cackles, having gained no sanity in his departure to the afterlife. Sylph focusses, synchronizing himself with nature - even when atop a towering rooftop, in combat with the most unnatural of beasts to walk Olegaia, Sylph succeeds. The Roots of Life emerge from the roof, the vines gently entangling themselves around the heroes. They sooth and restore the heroes, even amanging to bring Romulus back up with their reviving spores. With their job done, the roots seem to wave goodbye and goodluck as they plunge back into the roof. The round continues from there, the rest of the party clashing with the beast. Both sides manage to damage eachother, though Perfect Regret is still in nearly prime condition. The enthralled Alex lashes out at Romulus, his armor-piercing sword rending the lycanthrope's body with ease. Rhodus cackles maniacally at Johon, stopping momentarily to gather his breath. "HahahahahahahahahHHAAHAHAHA...!! Ohh, you disgraceful little failure! Even your own parents are laughing at you, Johon! You should see them, Raider - they just can't help but laugh. They're practically rolling on the floor in tears at this point, it's so hysterical! You can't even damage the Progg who murdered your parents... How amusing!" The battle rages on! Not like they already know the inevitable outcome of this fate for you all over." "Tell me, Johon... Do you remember them? Can you pluck through that addled, time-warping mind of yours and even pick out a single detail about your beloved parents?" Quote
Bricksandparts Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 "Not really. But 2 things about that. number 1, that's an invalid argument, a logical fallacy, that has absolutely nothing to do with the argument, and 2, I don't need to know what they looked like or what kind of people they were. They stood up for what was right and protected those that they could. They sacrificed themselves, Rhodus. That's good enough of a cause for me." Quote

Endgame Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Beneath the undead crapace, Johon can almost detect a sick smile of delight as Rhodus recalls that fateful day... "Good people?! They were slave masters, no better then the rest of the wretched vermin on that island. Or perhaps you don't remember your house back then, child? Ah, it was a cozy little cottage... Warm fireplace, comfy furniture, good food, bloodied whips hanging on the walls, flaked off pieces of carapace still stuck to them... I really wish you remembered them, Johon. I wish you could savor every detail about how they got to their knees, begging for mercy. Recall their desperation as they pleaded and sobbed, powerless with their slaves free from their bounds. I wish you could just remember seeing them die... Oh, how did I do it? I must've killed nearly 50 people that day... Ahh, yes. Your father gathered the last bit of courage in his weak heart and attempted to face me. Blasted fool. I didn't even feel the feeble spell he used... how the mighty had fallen that day. Grabbed him by the throat and smashed him into the wall so hard his skull split in two. Poor son of a bitch didn't know what hit him. And your mother was practically a circus... She couldn't even muster up a single word, she was in such a state of despair! I think I made out a few "PLEASE!"s and "MERCY!"s in her incoherent blubbering. Neverhteless, dragged her by the heels across the living room... and threw her into the fireplace. Oh, if only you could remember her SCREAMS, Johon! It was hilarious!" Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 OOC: Another gold! I hit Rome/Lycan! Alexandre uses all his strength to fight the regret, backrow. Quote
Fugazi Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Galen was disgusted by the gusto with which Rhodos recalled the death of Johon's family. Death was too kind a punishment for that sick Progg, Galen wished he had the power to burn his dead soul to ashes. "The more the Progg leaders terrify and disgust me, the more hope I hold for the Progg people. How could they not hate and attack us with such evil influence spurring them on? But with The Regret and his puppets soon gone, perhaps there's still a chance for forgiveness and peaceful coexistence." Galen cast a dark look at Alexandre's puppetstring, still holding tight, then turned to attack the Regret. OoC: I should have a little more HP thanks to my being blessed. Quote
