Endgame Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 (edited) QM Note: Quest will continue tonight and roughly 7:30 PM EST or so. For reference, it is currently 5:30 here. Edited October 26, 2012 by Endgame Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 This seems too easy. You visit the infirmary a lot. They might recognise you. Rodus certantly would. Odds are its a bluff. Even if it wasn't, we would get slaughtered. Quote
Endgame Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 "I don't know, the other Proggs seemed pretty hyped up over the entire thing. Rhodus is too busy being a gluttonous, executing bastard to visit the infirmary - he doesn't have any wounds, after all." Quote
Fugazi Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Elgar, I too am intrested in purchasing it. How bout 100 gold here on the spot? "I call dibs, I have already spent 50 gold to raise Elgar from the dead!" This seems too easy. You visit the infirmary a lot. They might recognise you. Rodus certantly would. Odds are its a bluff. Even if it wasn't, we would get slaughtered. "I don't think that we really have a choice. That banker woman is probably in danger either way, and I'm sure she will prove very generous when we save her from this madness." Quote
Endgame Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 (edited) The party serts out to the Aristocrat's Quarter. They have to cut through the deserted abandoned Marketplace first, though. There is shurbbrery to the right, a well to the left, and various stalls and counters. The party hears a metallic shuffling, then a metal march... then they can see from the distance what was approaching. HIDE. Edited October 26, 2012 by Endgame Quote
Fugazi Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Galen runs for his life and crouches down in the nearest stall. Quote
Endgame Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 QM Note: Someone please decide where Dharkan is going to hide. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 (edited) Isabella and I hide behind the shrubbery. I wrap her in my earth-toned cape. Edited October 27, 2012 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Elgar hides in the other shrubbery. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Lycan, for the first time ever, is scared. So he hides at the nearest stall. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Johon hides behind the well with his back to the army. He shuffles in his bag and grabs his fire bomb. Then motions to the rest of the party. "Pass me your smoke, ice, and fire bombs!" Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Elgar whispers. "No, there are too many of them. We are outnumbered badly, the bombs probaly won't take away half of their health. It is best to hide." Quote
Bricksandparts Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 "And what will we do when they find us?" Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 "Run, Though I could try to use my topaz to use lighting as a distraction then we can run and save Ayla. I know it doer not sound like much but it is a plan." Quote
Bricksandparts Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Johon pulls out his magic compass and wishes that it'd piont int he direction to go in order for the group to save Ayla. Quote
Endgame Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 The Artillery Proggs all reach the marketplace - and split. 10 of them head to the East, 5 of them South to the Town Hall (Hal would be able to drive them back) and 3 remain in the marketplace. 1 of the three heads to the Shrubbery and inspects it. Sylph's cloakk helps them camoflage, but the Artillery progg starts stabbing through the shrubs for good measure. Sylph and Isabella narrowly roll out of the way, avodiing making too much noise. Elgar and Galen remains undisturbed. Lycan is hiding behind a counter, ducking. An Artillery progg starts jabbing the behind of the counter, Lycan narrowly dodging all the blows. One of the Artillery Proggs closes into the fountain. In true Looney Toons fashion, Johon shimmeys around the well's round side, avoding the circling Artillery progg's glance. The 3 of the Artillery proggs finally shrug and head West, and the party lets out a collective sigh of relief. Johon's compass points West to the Aristocrat's Quarter. Will the party inspect the Marketplace, or will they rush to save Ayla? Quote
Endgame Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 Lycan finds most of the shops cleaned dry of goods, but he finds a silver safe. On the bottom, the words "Commerz Brand Mini Safe" are branded. On the back the words "S. Hoppe" are engraved. Through the safe's peephole you can see a variety of consumables. Unfortunately, the safe is locked with a 13 letters long combo. If you want to crack it, you are going to have to find the owner... Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 How many times can we attempt to solve it voice in the sky? Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 "We should take the safe, though I fear time is running out for Ayla Commerz, we must continue to the Aristocrats quarter at once." Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Elgar for gods sake think. If we go in there all crossbows blazing we will get slaughtered. Quote
Endgame Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 (edited) QM Note: As many times as you like, though you'll probabally never crack it wihout finding the owner... The solution exists, but it is a tough one. Edited October 27, 2012 by Endgame Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 "That is why I have a cunning plan. I sneak round the side and cause a few random lightning strikes. This should distract the proggs giving us time to sneak in and fight what ever proggs remain." Quote
Endgame Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 QM Note: Are you fellows heading to the Aristocrat's Quarter now, or would you like to make preperations? Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Elgar held his topaz tightly in his hands , preparing to set up his distraction. Waiting for the other members of the party. Quote
