Endgame Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 The party forges onwards, going through the only pathway they could find. Inexplicably, the party finds themselves here, right before the infinity corridor. Egar to test out Johon's theory, they go through the gate... And find themselves here. The party forges forward a whopping nine times, seemingly walking in a loop over and over. They go in and out of the fog, getting increasingly disoriented by their surroundings. it seemed like this corridor would repeat itself forever... After going forward 9 times, the party decides to head backwards. Once again the fog consumes them, surrounding them on all sides. While stepping through this final patch of fog, the sound of wings flapping and static get closer and closer, more and more audible... as they emerge from the enveloping fog, the party finds themsleves in a clearing. Beofre they could celebrate their mystery of getting through another trial, the party realizes that a huge creature hangs above them, casting its gargantuan shadow on the puny heroes. Before the heroes could process who they were about to meet he divebombs, landing gracefully in the clearing. The colossal's beast landing sends forth a billowing cloud of dust, nearly flinging the party back. The dust stings and burns the party eyes, and they are thus forced shut. The sound of static grows louder and louder, and the heroes open their eyes to gaze upon the horror that had just greeted them... The rain almost seems to intensify in the formidable beast's presence, the gigantic aerial Progg covered in a thick, steely armor. It's eyes glow bitterly as it stares menacingly at the heroes, knwoing it was them who fell his dear brothers. His hands were compeltely enveloped in a lethal-looking red electricty, the voltaic energy being the source of all the static they had heard earlier. His claw's were adorned in fiendish, harpoon-esque gauntlets. His tail seemed to be even more dangerous then his razor sharp claws, the triple pronged weapon of destruction being held as if it was already ready to strike. His 4 giant wings idly flap, the air-enabling appendages covered in barbs and glowing symbols. They were in the presence of the soon-to-be-emperor of all Proggs, Eidolon. He speaks with pure malice, a condescending a guttaral voice that frightened the already shocked heores. "I see you recieved The Suffering's invitation, you worthless little insects." Quote

Endgame Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 Eidolon grabbed Sylph's twig and snapped it like a toothpick, disposing of it with a flick of his wrist. "You poor, deluded thing. You must've gone insane some time ago. I hear shock therapy works wonders for that." Before Eidolon's words can be processed, a Corseque shoots forth from Eidolon's gauntlet, tethered to the soon-to-be-emperor by a long steel chain. It wraps around Sylph and Eidolon pulls the chain back, retracting Sylph directly into his claw. Sylph gaps as Eidolon grabs hold of him ina clutch of steel, electrocuting his hand while doing so. Sylph roars in pain, the combination of the bone-crushing clutch and the voltage coursing through his body proving too much for the Duid. Eidolon pauses slighty, the heroes standing in awe as their party leader was reduced to a hyperventilating wreck. As soon as Sylph's pain seems to subside, Eidolon continues right where he left off, huge coils of red electricty emitting from his hand. The Progg tightens his grip as the excessive amount of electrictiy enters Sylph, the party leader screaming in agony as he underwent the electric torture, the party too stunned to do anything. Eidolon soon gets bored of Sylph's bellow, raises him in the air... and chucks himat the ground, the battered frame of Sylph skidding across the ground. The druid's body twitches from electrical spasms, billowing smoke from the burns from his "shock therapy." Alex spends 1 ether to nurse Sylph back to 1 HP. Eidolon laughs a harsh laugh, a cruel laugh that seems to resonate in the party's ears, bouncing around Mystrinitri Woods and maybe even the entirety of Luosh. The storm intensifies as Eidolon howls with laughter, thunder rumbling and lightning striking... is he the source of the storm all along? "HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Eidolon lands again, still covered in electricity. This Progg possessed power like none other... perhaps the most formidable foe any of the heroes have met, their adversary possesing power unlike anything they had encountered before. Eidolon chuckles softly as he sees the heroes quite nearly start trembling... "Is that too hard to comprehend? I have an agenda, and you imbeciles are not going to interfere, lest you seek to be crushed by the soon-to-be emperor of Uland. And after Uland, who knows? I'm sure the rest of Olegaia will fall in due time. You heroes are neither threat nor amusement anymore, just an annoyance. It wore a coat of scars and its fur was torn and unkempt. The Cat saw his quarry as such a treasure, that upon capturing it, which he did easily, the cat played with it for hours until he was tired. The cat, enjoying repeatedly capturing this humbled and bruised rat, decided to injure the rat so much that the cat could leave it while he napped and return to his game when he woke. So, he did. He removed the rat's intestines from its body--without damaging the guts of course--and tied them to the rat's back legs, and then slept. As he slept, the rat pulled himself with his front legs up to the sleeping cat and gnawed out the cat's jugular and the cat's white fur was stained red. Being a Druids' Story, the moral of course is that humans ruin nature with their stupid too-close-to-man creations. I'm no story teller, so take that for what you will.
