"Here goes nothing!" Natasha places her palm on the barrier of light, it rippling and pulsating as she did so. Her hand beings to glow a soft blue as she closes under her eyes and speaks a few words... "Onel Qeqake, lou!" With the ehteral words said, the barrier beings glowing brighter and brighter... until it shatters, splitting into glass-esque shards of light. They scatter and fade away. Natasha gorrgily standing. As she said, the ritual does a number on you... "Best of luck!" The party, still being utterly bombarded with rain, proceeds down the short pass to Dini manor. Hal looks around at the dismal conditions, and sighs. "You know... It pains me to see Luosh in a condition like this. I gew up here, trained here, swore to protect it. And now? Well, everything is not exactly okay... The final battle gorws closer and closer, heroes. Lets take out one last wretched royal beast and end this all - our final target awaits in the manor. For Luosh!" The party reaches the manor, the massive fortress expanding beyond their peripheral vision. Rain drums down as the party stands in awe, the mere facade of the colossal manor bearing more resemblance to a citadel of sorts. Black, purple, and gold accents graced the building, giving it an air of importance and granduer. The only way in seems to be a grand door of sturdy, polished wood, drarwving the entire party. The party shifts their foucs to the Progg standing atop the balcony - The Suffering. He speaks over the punding rain, mocking the heroes. "Ah! The guests of honor arrive already! Hear to witness the birth of a new age? The Era of Eidolon, as I'm sure you know we call it?" The Suffering takes a mock bow, chuckling softly still. "Now, shall you be ushered in?" The winged soldier snaps his fingers, and the ground rumbles beneath ther heroes. Claws, tails, faces all bursti out from the earth below. An ambush! Among the revealed assaulters, among them were 4 normal Proggs, 2 peculiar looking mages, 2 artillery proggs, and 2 varities of foe they had yet to see. A large, purple - clad Progg twirls his massive spear menacingly, while a bleached-blue Aerial progg explodes from underground, using his bat-esque wings to hover a few feet off the ground. All of them growl and chatter as the edge in towards the defiant group of heroes. The Suffering smirks, and conitnues. "Welcome to the Fungeon, heroes!" The Suffering throws the door to the balcony open, swooping inside. the party can faintly hear the aerial beast shouting out orders - this wasn't the only force they had to deal with... Passive Specials: Softening the Blow: Attacks that hit all enemies do a fourth of the damage they would've done. That hero becomes unable to do anything for the rest of the round and the 2 next, after which they will be let go. Any damage the Aerial Progg will be divided by 5 and subtracted from the captured hero's HP. Air Raid: Swoops by and jabs all heroes with his tail, doing 13 damage to the entire party. Specials decided by die roll. If Special Damage is rolled when they have a prisoner, it will default to Air Raid. Drops: Nostrum "This'll be fun." Progg Juggernaut, Level 26 Beast *Elemental Nuetral!* HP: 550/550 SP: 7 Specials: Flank: The Jugernaut flanks a hero, doing 30 damage and making them Weak and Fragile for 3 rounds. (Can only be remedied.) Jab Blitz: Does 18 damage to all heroes in the row of the hero who rolled Special Damage. Specials decided by Die roll. Passive Specials: On the Defensive: The Juggernaut remains constantly on guard, boosting all other Progg's SP by 1. Drops: 50 gold. ~Rules For Storming Dini Manor!~ -Dini manor is divided into 2 types of areas areas: combat areas and anterooms. -When all of the enemies in one combat area have been slain, the party will move on to the next area automatically, retaining all effects they had - positive or negative! -Every so often, you will reach an anteroom. These are essentially rest areas. You can divvy up all loot recieved thus far and have one enemy-less turn, during which you can heal. Bear in mind healing, scroll casting, etc. will still be treated like a normal battle! After this one turn, you will proceed to the next room automatically. -The battle is won when The Suffering perishes - he awaits in the final area of the manor... It proves to be slightly lackluster, some damage being dealt, some damage being given. Punii compacts some mystical Mystrinitri roots he found, compacting them into not one, but three jellies. Sylph fails to fragilize the Juggernaut, the thunderous sound of the rain distracting him. Despite Sylph's failures, Alex manages to parry the Juggernaut's spear and score a cheap shot upside the facegrid, doing some damage. Johon slams his blade into one of the mages, only for the other to drain his life away. Johon cradles his head in his hands, slightly woozy from the spell. Elgar gets hit by the Artillery Progg, but manages to duck down, his razor sharp tail only grazing his shoulder. Romulus thrusts his plague-slathered blade into the side of the Aerial Progg, the flying beast screeching as the lethal poison seeped into its blood. Galen hits one of the Proggs with a harsh crack of the whip, only to see Hal get hit on the side of the head my a lust-filled Progg - still disoriented by his battle with The Suffering, apparently. Galen continues his asault on the blue creatures, and Hal has had enough of these Proggs defiling the town he swore to guard with his life. With a silent signal, he tells the entire party to bombard one of the Proggs, the shelled beast taking significant damage. Sylph fires off one last arrow, ending the round on a positive note. The party manages to fell several foes, already the cropses beginning to add up as the heroes beat and bludgeon their foes - was this going to be a bigger massacre then the rally? The highlight of party's misfortune is when Alex targets the Juggernaut, the creature dodging swiftly despite his bulky armor. He rushes at Alex's side, ramming into him and knocking him on the muddy ground. Also, a Progg manages to go itno a battle frenzy, his sharp tail deftly plugning into every hero - although the party's SP softens the blow signifigantly. Despite these two incidents, the party manages to outdo their foes in all other accounts, downing several of them. Sylph heals on Johon, only for the Raider to miss in his assault - then recieve a harsh jab of the tail in the jugular. He reorients himself and strikes on of the Artillery Proggs, his blade doing its work. Elgar musters up his might and turns some of the rain around him into... snowflakes? These snowflakes quickly amount up, converging into none other then Sir Slush! Hooray! Hal swings his halberd with great strenght onto the spine of one of the Proggs, paralyzing the creature. Galen flings his elastic projectile at one of he Artillery Proggs, but he remains unimpressed with the toy and dodges. Hal scores a minor hit on the remaining Azure Mage, ducking underneath the beast's flailing scpeter and hitting back with his halberd. galen finishes off the paralyzed progg with his wrench, the envenomed tool returning back to him with the flick of the wrist. With one last arrow Sylph finishes off the Azure Mge, the Progg forces' barriers of protection crumbling as he perishes. Sylph heals Romulus, only for it to be undone when he rushes the Juggernaut. Romulus swings down Combrys, his mighty sword humming with might, but the Juggernaut parrys with his spear and shield bashes Lycan backwards.
