Master_Data Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Best: Boba Fett (from the Desert Skiff set). Worst: Star Wars: The Clone Wars humans. Glad they took a different direction with the Rebels sets. Quote
Cheatster9000x Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Galidor was a Licence, right? If so, I say every single Galidor fig, especially the McD's promotional ones. Quote
Lancethecat Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Has anyone already mentioned the Clone Wars version of Chancellor Palpatine? That figure's face is so evil that it will sear your eyeballs out if you so much as glance at it. Quote
Boettner Builds Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Here is the links for two.http://www.brickset....ail/?Set=3829-1 http://www.brickset....ail/?Set=3828-1 By the way they are avatar. WTF was LEGO thinking with that Avatar ship?!?!? It looks like a REALLY REALLY crappy LEGO knock-off brand!!! I'm glad I've never seen it before now, I would probabley giving up on LEGO completly!!!!! Quote

Dharkan Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Worst is yellow-face Ron Weasley for sure. Best is really, really hard to tell. But I think almost all of the Superhero minifigures are top class. Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 New worst: the movie Ninja Turtles, through no fault of LEGO's own. The designs in the movie are terrible, and make for some very ugly minifigures. Quote
Faefrost Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 New worst: the movie Ninja Turtles, through no fault of LEGO's own. The designs in the movie are terrible, and make for some very ugly minifigures. The sad thing is the Lego physical designs for the new turtles are incredible. The level of detail and printing on the shells. The stud to allow for stuff on the back like sheathed weapons. All great. Even the head mold is decent. It is the actual movie character designs that Lego is copying that make them horrid. Which is a shame. Lego has been doing so much better with licensed (and unlicensed) figures recently. There has been so much good. Quote
Ultron Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 After recently getting the Desert Skiff set, I'd have to put the new Boba Fett up top as one of my favorite figs! He's incredible! The only thing the could do to make him better would be arm printing. Good thing I have the cloud city one But yes: My favorite figs are definitely Shaak Ti, Boba Fett and Jango Fett. I also love the Comic Con Amazing Spider-man fig and Phoenix but, you know, they're comic con exclusives Venom, and the Guardians of the Galaxy figs are definitely in my top 10 too though! The superhero figs are getting better and better! Hopefully they stop completely screwing us over at comic con though. New worst: the movie Ninja Turtles, through no fault of LEGO's own. The designs in the movie are terrible, and make for some very ugly minifigures. They really are hideous! Their shells really bother me too, but that's not LEGO's doing, they stick over them like that in the movie. I do like how their weapons can stick into them though. Quote
kevkipo Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I'll say best was Defenitely Thorin Oakenshield, im just proud to own that fig :) he's beautifull in so many ways, and in the 3th wave we will also get a 3th version of him! :D for worst i'll go with the first Squidward, he's just... hehe.. meh just no Quote
iamwhoiam Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 My favorite minifigures have to be the whole Lord of the Rings line but the worst one that I can think of has to be the Clone Wars Anakin.... sigh Hated that fig Quote
Spider-Man Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Any vote for Star-Lord as the best? The printing is great and that helmet is just amazing! Definitely one of the tops so far in 2014, and I would also put him up as one of the best ever! Quote

Robianco Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I actually really like Luke from the Ewok Village set. I know it's relatively simply and doesn't have the 'cool' of a helmet and cloak like Fett to really set it off but having been used to the older version with the squiggly white lines to define the tunic I just think the design of that black Jedi costume with the folded down section is perfect. It's exactly as I remember as a kid watching ROTJ. Just really well done. The version before that from the Skiff and Rancor sets was a nice improvement over the older one but the Ewok Village set is definitive. With regards to worst I'm not so sure... I share the dislike for the CW style heads because for me they're just very un-Lego like... similar to how people can design bad custom figures and put things like noses on them... but of all the new figures I just feel very underwhelmed by Cyclops in the X-Jet. There's Wolverine with his cowl which is cool... there's a Storm figure which is cool... there's a new Magneto in his Uncanny X-Men costume when he was headmaster of the Xavier Institute... which is cool... then there's Cyclops in the dullest, most detail ridden design I've seen in a long time. But that's just my twopenneth. Quote

The Movement Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 The worst designed licensed minifigures ever are: Mr. Burns Ralph Wiggum and Nelson. Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Why? They're accurate. Is it design or personal preference? Quote
montgocloud Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 A definite worst for 2013 is Vernon Fenwick from the TMNT movie line. The hair works, though it should have been colored dark brown. The face, however, isn't okay. It doesn't fit Will Arnett at all and it looks really odd because the eyebrow color doesn't match his hair. But apart from the accuracy, the main problem is the simplicity of the figure. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm all for simple figures, but there has to be some consistency. Every other figure has cheekbones and other facial details EXCEPT Vernon. Like Colonel Hardy from the Man of Steel line, it's pretty distracting. Though, to be fair, Hardy was a lot worse. In the words of Will Arnett's GOB, "COME ON!" Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Vernon is good for the hair in that color, but he is pretty bland and uses outdated printing. Luke Skywalker's new face is really ugly. They tried to capture Mark Hamill, but they made it too detailed. They should have stuck with what they had. Quote
adotnamedstud Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Best - New 52 Batman Worst - 2012-2014 Spiderman (assuming we get a new variant...) Quote
CrazyDalton777 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I would put the best design as Marty McFly (if I can count him as licensed), the detailing you get on his torso is brilliant, plus his face is pretty cool. The worst has got to be the Squidward one though. Quote
Captain America fan 1 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Best is Green Lantern for me. Worst is either black widow, squid ward, or Michael bay tmnt. Quote
Robianco Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Best is Green Lantern for me. Worst is either black widow, squid ward, or Michael bay tmnt. Black Widow is actually pretty close to the concept art they worked from... even the positioning of the blue lines in the uniform... it's just a shame that it was nothing like the film version! Quote
_epicster_ Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Drax and Ronan are my new favorites. I don't know about a worst, maybe the Mandarin? Quote
