Kristel Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Here's my entry to the Everything's Better with Ninja contest, in the 8x8 category. Why go to the barber when you can get your hair done Ninja-style! Hope you like it. More photos on flickr. Quote
DraikNova Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 I can see an accident in the making. Great work! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Excellent vignette, you managed to fit all the essential details of a barbershop into an 8x8 and still not look crowded Good luck in the contest Quote
Kai NRG Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Nice job on this one, I really like the colorscheme especially! Quote
dr_spock Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Good little scene. It looks like the setup at my hairdresser. It's cute that the ninja has a comb with pretty little hearts on it. Quote
Devorath Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 I like the katana on the wall. The gold of the weapons goes nicely with the Metru Red of the walls. Nice job! Quote
TheLegoNinja Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Love it! How did you do the mirror? Quote
Praiter Yed Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I can't believe you managed to fit so many details into such a small space without it looking crowded - the brush behind the Ninjas back is a great idea. Quote
Kristel Posted October 31, 2012 Author Posted October 31, 2012 Thanks, everyone. I really appreciate the comments. Good little scene. It looks like the setup at my hairdresser. It's cute that the ninja has a comb with pretty little hearts on it. You can just imagine what he is thinking right now, being forced to pose with the cutesy comb like that. I love the Friends line for the colours and the accessories, but these accessories packs in more mainstream styles and colours would be perfect. Love it! How did you do the mirror? It's the mirror from the Friend Beauty Shop set (a 4x4 tile with studs on edge and sticker), attached to the wall with a 1x4 brick with studs on the side. There is a row of dark red plates between the bricks in the wall to give it the right height to sit flush with the top of the bench. Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 AWESOME and funny vig 'Kristel'....it proves that even Ninjas must get an extra job to make ends meet ! Good luck in the contest and Brick On in the shadows 'Kristel' ! Quote
harton Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Hey, I just saw it on Vignettes bricks: http://vignettebricks.blogspot.ca/ Well done again! Quote
Kristel Posted November 1, 2012 Author Posted November 1, 2012 Hey, I just saw it on Vignettes bricks: Thanks, Harton. I hadn't seen that yet. That's so cool! Quote
