My opinion is that if you don't know what you're talking about you shouldn't really talk about it. Most video reviews reek of people just putting up videos to get views, and all they say is useless, obvious or false/misinformed. ("this is just an awesome set, it's so cool" "you get 3 minifigures" etc)

I just don't bother watching (especially listening to) "reviews", most of the time the set speaks for itself. I look at the official photos, the box art and read the discussions on EB prior to purchase if that, they tell you more than a video review ever could.

For the Belgian fans: The new LOTR sets are also available on the collishop.be site, so probably also in the Dreamland stores (they are a bitt pricey tho, especially the Council of Elrond set )

- 14.99 for the Wizzard Battle

- 39.99 for the Council of Elrond

- 59.99 for Battle at the Black Gate (if I remember well)

- 99.99 for Pirate Ship Ambush

I saw them at Dreamland last weekend but to pricey !!!!

I won't buy the Tower of Orthanc too quickly because nothing offered for the VIP's on the 17th so I'll wait for a special offer or a "X2 points" day. I'll just buy the Pirate Ship the 1rst June to have the Jor-El Polybag.

I won't buy the Tower of Orthanc too quickly because nothing offered for the VIP's on the 17th so I'll wait for a special offer or a "X2 points" day. I'll just buy the Pirate Ship the 1rst June to have the Jor-El Polybag.

I've seen a few people say they're waiting for double points to get Orthanc but (at Us retail) that's only going save you an extra $10. I would think another Jor-El bag would sell for more than that easily. So I'm not worried about waiting for another promotion, just figuring out when and how to put it in my budget.

As usual Belgian and Dutch prices are higher than the French and the Germans. Orthanc also costs 29.99 more here. Planning a trip in a month or two to Lille then or order via amazon I guess.

I think we're all assuming this, but has there been any solid confirmation that the sets will be available from S@H in the U.S. on June 1? I would hate to get my hopes up for ordering these on Saturday for nothing.

Not really anything straight from LEGO, but GRogall said it along with all the LEGO Stores I've called.

Went to the Sherway TRU and found all the new sets. Picked up the Black Gate, Council and Wizard Battle. Haven't had a chance to build the sets, but I've built the Minifigs, and I must say, Gandalf the White and the Mouth are my two favourite LOTR figs.

I would say I am waiting for double points to get Orthanc because my wife wont let me have it till my birthday anyway which is fair given how much it is. But what I am really hoping for is a cool LOTR exclusive polybag like Jor-El, anyone think this might happen, July maybe and what could it be old Bilbo?

Double Points or another polybag/offer because I'll have Jor-El saturday 1rst when I'll buy Battle At The Black Gate so no need to hurry for the Tower of Orthanc. As Cammo said, maybe it will be more interesting to wait a better price on Amazon BUT if there is a surprise (like a Radagast polybag ) for the VIP on June 17th, I'll be among the firsts people at the opening of my LEGO Store.

I feel doubtful about this, too. But I think Bofur's hat would work for Radagast. It's not exactly right, but close enough for me.
