Propicz89 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 They were recalled in UK. Does anyone know why? Quote
deskp Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Does anyone know why? AN issue with the instructions, think alot of it was missing or something. Quote
Vindice Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 The new Argos catalogue is out this month so the wait won't be long. I just hope they're in time for the annual 3 for 2 sales at Argos and TRU! Quote
The Joker1 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 (edited) These people in the UK have LORT and Lone ranger available. Prices are a bit much though (check out stagecoach eacape ) Thankfully black gate is only 27p more so maybe... http://www.supertoys...the-Rings-c-687 EDIT- It seems elrond is sold out, Other 3 are there though. just2good Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Okay, for those waiting for LEGO Hobbit 2013 news, I just noticed June 29th was when the rumor list sets were listed on spielwaren-kontor24.de, so very soon we should get a rumor list. Maybe even today! Quote

Sandy Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I'm coming home from San Francisco with the Orthanc and the Black Gate sets. Can't wait to get to build them. Quote

YOUSHALLNOTPASS Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I went to Lego Store to get Council, Wizard Battle, and Gate, sadly no Lotr sets excluding orthanc instead got three small Castle sets and Barrel Escape to finish Hobbit collection What do you think of my idea giving some mini figures small changes. Theoden: Hair from lego city What set is Theodens hair also getting Calvary set for legs and horse to use as Sadowfax Quote
Darth Malgus Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 finished building orthanc last night, a really great set when it is all finished! the sheer scale of the building is impressive. Quote
Vindice Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 How do you know that? If so that's fantastic! Well Argos always have a 3 for 2 on all Toys that is alligned to the start of the school summer holidays. The last couple of years has seen TRU counter with their own, although it usually is only a weekend long and sometimes only includes certain products of which LEGO is thankfully usually one of. Quote

No I meant have they officially said that the new catalogue will be out this month? So do you think Lego shop uk will put up the 2013 lotr sets this month or next? I know the lone ranger sets are confirmed for end of July(as I emailed Lego about it) to coincide with the movie's release. I'm hoping near the end of this month or before as my friend emailed Argos about a new catalogue and they said end of July so maybe both will happen same time. Quote
Vindice Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Yeah the new catalogue is out this month. Second half of the month although sets usually appear online a couple of days before. The lotr stuff should be showing up anytime now in some places. Probably Smyths, then either TRU or Argos. Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 My Orthanc came today!! Was soo happy to see it, and it was delivered very quickly, I only ordered it on Monday! Sadly I won't have the time to build it until Saturday due to work :( Quote
Vindice Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I've bought Orthanc for my little boy as a present but he won't actually be getting to build it until 2 weeks saturday which is killing me!!! Might have to get some of the summer wave just to keep me going! Quote

I'm just gonna wait til Argos gets them. Believe it or not the saruman set is the one I want the most just for minifigures. Saruman is my favourite lotr character so its lovely to see sir Christopher lee's fantastic character in Lego form. Edited July 3, 2013 by legofreak86 Quote

danklaiber Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 News for uk!! Lego store told me today release date is 27th!!! Said she couldn't remember if 18th or 27th but had just been told that morning! I went into the Lego Store in Cardiff yesterday afternoon and one of the shop assistants told me that the new wave of LOTR sets were being released on the 25th July. He was told the day before by his manager. Either way, we're going to have to wait another three weeks until they're available. On a separate note, there was one Tower of Orthanc set left on the shelves (there may have been more in the back however), plus Gandalf Arrives and The Orc Forge sets were reduced for clearance which confirms that they're to be discontinued. I'd quite like to get another if I can! Quote
danklaiber Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 (edited) any idea what the asking price for the Orc Forge is now? I'd quite like to get another if I can! I can't remember the exact price for the Orc Forge but Gandalf Arrives was about £8 so that's 1/3 off. It was in the late £20's so my guess would be about £26/27, that being 1/3 off £40. However there was only one Orc Forge on display on the shop floor, whereas there was about a dozen Gandalf Arrives sets. Edited July 4, 2013 by danklaiber Quote
TheLegoDr Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Those two sets are both listed on the US retiring soon page too at S@H, so definitely confirmed they will be leaving soon. Odd that Orc Forge would go away before some of the other sets, but I guess since it was an exclusive, maybe not a lot of people bought it? Quote
Flea Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 any information about new hobbit sets? when can we expect them in stores? what about early pictures and name sets, soon maybe? Quote
Gryphon Ink Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I really, REALLY have to pull the money together for Helm's Deep. I will be kicking myself for a long, long time if I miss that set. Quote
Leo604 Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 any information about new hobbit sets? when can we expect them in stores? what about early pictures and name sets, soon maybe? They could be unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con, and they'd probably be out around the same time as last year (mid-late December). Quote
