I really wish that someone would take some pics of Azog out-of-box and standing alongside other figs, and maybe his Warg. I think it would really be helpful for a lot of us to see the fig standing with some others, so we get a real sense of his height and how awkward the new head may look next to classic figs.

You could sort of eyeball it in the pictures above; I'd say a normal head goes up to about the top of his cheekbones.

Just found this listing for the fig on eBay. It may be the same one as before, but the picture is different. Better lighting and more in focus. If you zoom in, you can see how the front lower section of the headpiece is meant to represent his pecs.

Still $1000...

Does anyone know what's inside the tall cabin thing ?

Of the bigger Laketown building? I'm assuming the Master's office. The lower part has a jail cell for Bard (I'm guessing), while the other building is just kinda there.

Yes thanks, that's the building I meant. I wasn't sure if it would be a bedroom or something that's all. :classic:

Well, we did see some behind the sevens stuff with the Master and Alfrid in the Master's bedroom/office, so that's my guess.

Also, does anyone else feel like the helmet of the guard kinda looks like a fish tail at the top?

This is obviously not the same as seeing 2 real figs together it's soemthing, the white line shows the difference in heigh from a bald minifig.

Also, Erebor should be saved for the BO5A. That way, LEGO can spend the money on making the mountain big and having the amount of figs necessary for the scene without having to worry about a dragon taking up space.

I like the concept, and thought along the same idea, but the issue with it is leaves nowhere for Smaug to go if he's not in Lake Town. Erabor and Lake Town are the only spots we see him in the book, and I doubt the movie will be that much different.

SMaug could be a set of his own though! you don't need any building with him, unless he's molded obviously.

I suppose if he was brick-built then one could easily make a set with him, Bilbo and some gold, though knowing TLG I'm expecting he'll be molded.

Getting an error.

Strange. But that did happen with another link for a LEGO Movie pic from the same site, so it's not the links.

Not to be rude, but we've been talking about that for the past day here.

Thanks anyways! :classic:

It's not rude at all, I noticed you all discussing it in the last two pages, but only noticed the LDD picture. Besides that there are plenty of people who don't read the thread everyday who may have missed it as well, and front page exposure will alert a lot more members too.

Cheers.

True! It hasn't been posted on the front page until you did, so it's all good! :classic:

Also, somebody should update the first page of this thread.

Sorry but this is the reason why I don't come to euro bricks anymore for my LEGO news, brickset and the brothers brick both posted this and other SDCC 2013 lego announcements at least 12 Hours before eurobricks got it.

I only come where now for the forums.

Thanks

Just talked to a fellow lego designer (Mark Stafford) and he said Azog will be in a set but slightly different

Wow thats good news! I wonder what that will do to the price of this current Azog? I'm sure it will still fetch a pretty good take on eBay.

I like all the dark brown, but the boat is a little TOO much like the Viking boat from the early 2000s.

To the news point, what makes EB different is all the discussion AND the MOCs. I view all the sites for news and pics, and I don't only go with what is first to break news, I like to get info and opinions from all angles. To ignore a news source or website just because it didn't frontpage on your schedule is silly.

True, liking the dark green arch windows as well, though they have already been in the Hobbit hole set.

Certainly true ZC, Eurobricks rewards active participation by continuing conversation and promoting a healthy community, simply posting news is hardly pulling a community together, merely alerting people as to what sets are coming up, regardless of whether they are posted before or after another website. Sharing opinions or MOCs will only continue to open a dialog for willing participants to increase their knowledge on building techniques, understand the ins and outs of set designs and more. I think the fact that Eurobricks has been around for so long is a testament to community interaction.
