Nothing about a secret set on this 2013 Hobbit wave poster :cry_sad:

I don't think people have really been expecting that, if there is another set coming later like orthanc was, they will still keep it "secret"

Also Beorns hair/face is one pice on that cg poster aswell.

There is definitely no retailer exclusive, it would of been listed in the Lego catalog people are starting to receive like all past retailer exclusives. The only possibility now is a D2C set released a little after the second Hobbit wave hits retailers.

There could perhaps be a special hobbit set released as "part of" summer 2014 lotr wave (if there is one)

I'm guessing that is the poster that is available with DOS hobbit orders in December on Lego shop. I seem to remember something (maybe a catalogue) teasing that for December.

The poster is supposedly in the British LEGO Club Magazine for December. Interestingly enough, part of the poster appeared in the retail catalog! :oh:

OH yeah. I remember last year they did that with AUJ! Oh good! I will look forward to that! Unless of course I am past the age where they send the magazine. When was the last one? I can't remember what month the last issue was I'll have to take a look in my magazine rack. I'm probably just being forgetful as usual.

Glad to confirm officially 100% that USA prices are

$19.99 DGA

$29.99 MEA

$49.99 LC

$69.99 DGB

Safe to assume then that Australian prices will be as follows:

$49.99 MEA

$99.99 LC

$119.99 DGB *sigh*

Sorry if this has been covered recently in the thread but are these due on the 1st December?

I only ask as there's a VIP event next Saturday that I'm going to and they've stated there'll be some 'free gift' and 'Extraordinary Christmas Offers'... would that include early sale of the sets due on the 1st December a week early?

A member on the brickset forum has posted that he has found the hobbit sets at his Toys R Us

I just found all 4 sets at my TRU in New Jersey. I got the Dol Guldur Battle and Mirkwood sets. They would not ring up at the register, saying they were not on sale until December. This is of course ridiculous as TRU ALWAYS gets set this early. But they were not in the system yet. The good thing about that is when not entered the system, the price checker assigns the normal lego price and NOT the ripp off TRU price.

They did not have Ninjago or anything else new. So you folks in the US...GO!"

Did the person say anything concerning LOTR ads? is there any? for 2014 that is.

He didn't mention it. But somebody already asked him so we will know it soon!

Thats good, seeing as it wasnt already mentioned im not very hopeful.

Even if there's no ad in the instructions, a 2014 LOTR wave can't be completely ruled out. Just because they did it last year doesn't mean they have to do it again  Great to hear the sets are already out there, now the whole Beorn one piece/ two piece discussion can come to an end

Right, and even if there is an ad there are (extremely slim) chances the third LotR wave could still be cancelled before it actually gets released. It just bodes well if there is an ad. No ad is probably a pretty bad sign considering every LotR/Hobbit wave so far has advertised the next wave.

The necromancer has nipples in that poster?! He looks like a cross between a gorilla and Skeletor

This is a spirit that was formally a man. Now he lost his armour he probably is a naked spirit. I think he is glow in the dark as another picture showed him having grey instead of green bits so probably in normal lighting he is grey and in the dark he goes green. I think once we've seen him in the DOS movie we'll understand the design choices for the figure and his importance. as it appears from what has been said he is much much more than set dressing this time round plus he is voiced by benedict cumberbatch same as smaug so he must have some killer lines in the film and some action. I'm looking forward to seeing him in the film to see lego's inspiration.

Yeah you can see that in an unexpected journey. The lego deisgn for the figure is very accurate

Well I just got back from my local TRU. They had all the wave 2 Hobbit sets out but when I tried to buy some they said they would not be able to sell them until their street release date of December 1st. So close yet so far away... :cry_sad:
