Darth Caedus Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) Blah, not in stock anymore! Clicked add to cart, then it wasn't available anymore! When I saw that these had gone up and then disappeared so quickly, I unleashed a torrent of furious expletives. Wish I had woken up earlier. The polybag could not have been a more perfect choice and is my most anticipated item this wave by far. Alas. Will have to stay vigilant. The hunt continues. Did anyone order them in time? CircleK Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 When I saw that these had gone up and then disappeared so quickly, I unleashed a torrent of furious expletives. Wish I had woken up earlier. The polybag could not have been a more perfect choice and is my most anticipated item this wave by far. Alas. Will have to stay vigilant. The hunt continues. Did anyone order them in time? I managed to nab three of them (limit was four), although I wouldn't be shocked if the order gets canceled. I hate paying the TRU shipping on a poly order, but I have very little luck when it comes to finding them in the wild and my nearest TRU is 45 minutes away. Quote
zylek Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I got four when I saw them posted, they better not cancel them! I'll keep my fingers crossed. Quote
Mahtion Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 It is just a matter of time waiting for availability. Either we find them in TRU which is difficult (I usually have to drive 45 min since my local one has terrible inventory management) or purchase from Lego.com directly. I'm not surprised that the polybags disappeared from online, something similar happened last year with the Mirkwood Elf Guard. I believe it took a couple weeks to find again. This may be the case this year as well. I just hate the fact the Laketown guard comes with bows, I have tons from Mirkwood Guards already lol. Quote
Darth Caedus Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I would've purchased 10 on the spot had I been awake. Alas. Hope they hit brick and mortar soon - as long as it's not on Black Friday. Quote
Infernum Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Ha, ha, ten would be nice, but the limit was 4 this morning. Quote
zylek Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 TRU often gets a sample case of their items prior to their main shipment, so maybe this was the same situation. It's usually 2+ weeks after the sample case that they appear again online and instore with the main shipment. Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 This was given out at the LEGO Store VIP event. Sadly the picture isn't mine. Quote
SMC Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I got one numbered out of 3000 Sadly it got a bit bashed before I got it but im not really a poster fan and not sure what to do with it. Quote
Legomaster34 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 This was given out at the LEGO Store VIP event. Sadly the picture isn't mine. *snip* Woah! That's awesome! Wish I could have gotten my hands on one of these: it would have looked nice next to my Return of the King poster. Also, did anybody notice the Mirkwood Elf to the left of Thranduil is using the Collectible Minifigures Elf shield? Quote
deskp Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Also, did anybody notice the Mirkwood Elf to the left of Thranduil is using the Collectible Minifigures Elf shield? Yeah theres alot of weird stff going on in that poster, but overall it's nice. Quote
Infernum Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I got two of the poster... It looks simply beautiful in real life. Quote
greeklad97 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Lol went to TRU to pick up Lake Town Chase today and on the way home stopped at Target of all places! Picked up 3 Attack on Weather-tops for $20 a piece! I still can't believe my luck, in this last week picked up 12 Uruk Hai Army's, 3 Attack on Weathertops, and all 4 of the new Hobbit sets for a whopping $350! What a deal! Lol with all these new sets coming out remember to check your local stores for some great deals in clearance! :) Quote
Ridge Montante Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I went to TRU tonight looking for the new sets and maybe hoping to find a polybag or two. But no, as usual we never get the new sets in my area. It's so aggravating that I have to wait till the release date and in most cases beyond till they start showing up on the shelfs. Quote
Shroffy123 Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Last year my area got the set in early November. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing this time. Oh well, December is only a week. Quote

I have no problem with it, especially since there's always a wealth of substitute weapons to swap in - spears, swords, whatever. I am disappointed that he doesn't come with one of those awesome Laketown shields from LTC, though. Quote
Mr. Cube Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 (edited) I´ll buy just 79014 and 79011. And other figs through BL. They could work more on Azog minifigure, IMO. I don´t like his tiny arms vs. his muscular torso, it looks strange to me. But other figs are great, I´m glad that they made Radagast...and Gundabad Orcs are also nice. LegoThomas Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 (edited) My Local Toys r us (Düsseldorf, Germany) got the dol guldur battle. Checked the online store and called the market. 3 in stock. Yay. :-) But why have they only one set and not the whole wave? Just don't get it... Edit: All four sets were in the store. And i got all four. :-) Edited November 25, 2013 by LegoThomas Quote
Alfadas Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 The second one includes Legolas. Thanks! I don't have a TRU nearby, so indeed I am going to buy them at Lego.com, if that is possible. Does anyone knows what will be the rest of the "set"? Quote
deskp Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 (edited) Just like to inform everyone that screenshots have been released and the release date for the game is spring 2014. If you want to talk about the game you should do so at THIS link in the multmedia subforum. Edited November 25, 2013 by deskp Quote
Dorothy Vader Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 (edited) The new Hobbit sets are now available to order from Amazon UK at RRP. Here's Dol Guldur Battle: http://www.amazon.co...lego dol guldur The others show up after searching under 'lego the hobbit' in Toys and Games. Perfect if, like me, you've got Amazon vouchers burning a hole in your e-pocket. Enjoy! Edited November 25, 2013 by Dorothy Vader Quote
Deathleech Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Interesting the Hobbit game is going to be released in the spring instead of winter after all three movies have been released. You would think they would wait 6 more months and just have all three movies included, plus sales would be boosted due to the third movie being released at the same time. I wonder if this has any impact on when the next Hobbit wave will be released? Quote
deskp Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I wonder if this has any impact on when the next Hobbit wave will be released? The spring release kindof makes it a littlebit odd if there is no middle earth set(s) released during that time. But I am certainly expecting another minifig along with the game, Is this perhaps Galadriel's shot at a minifig? Another hobbit game is assumed after the last movie, at wich point we can expect another minifig. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 But I am certainly expecting another minifig along with the game, Is this perhaps Galadriel's shot at a minifig? Another hobbit game is assumed after the last movie, at wich point we can expect another minifig. I hope we'll see a figure, but I doubt it'll be Galadriel; she doesn't really have a whole lot to do with the plot, and I could see her coming in a hypothetical 'Complete Saga' of the Lego Hobbit and Lego LotR games. An Old Bilbo minifig would be my guess. Quote
