Ridge Montante Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Even the blurry pictures of it look great. Yet another set to add to my list to get. Nobody has an idea for a release date do they? Quote
Flieger Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 And here is the confirmation. Forgive my ignorance, since I am new on this forum, but is GRogall a Lego-Official, so that word is reliable? As I said, I'd hope so very much. Quote
just2good Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 There is no Frodo & Ringwraith set. The website it appeared on had four sets listed with the correct set numbers but the wrong names. 79005 Frodo and Ring Wraith I really think Frodo and Ring Wraith was an early prototype. I'm guessing, if anything, it will be an exclusive (set 79009?), but I highly doubt that. Quote
halomaster96 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Now that Orthanc is confirmed, I wonder if it will have any minifigs? Or do you that it will just be open on the inside to put the wizard duel in it? Quote
Darth Lurtz Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Now that Orthanc is confirmed, I wonder if it will have any minifigs? Or do you that it will just be open on the inside to put the wizard duel in it? I'm hoping that it will either come with Grima Wormtongue or an armored lurtz. Quote

Or do you that it will just be open on the inside to put the wizard duel in it? In my there will be minifigs NO DOUBT. this will be a set akin to Diagon alley, not a model made purely for accuracy. A D2C/hard to find not old fashioned UCS Quote
Huntleyfx Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 But if it is like Diagon Alley, that would lend credence to the idea that the theme will be over soon. One last huge set to kill the theme. Quote
General Magma Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I hope not. There are plenty of key characters missing, and we still don't even have any Gondorians... Quote

Borex Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I was looking at this pic again: http://ow.ly/i/HJQX/original and i thought, could the castle (to the left of that Toy Story cardboardthingy) be the dark tower of sauron Barad Dur? You might have seen it already, but i'm not really into lotr. Quote

GRogall is a figure shrouded in mystery! He is a credible source and has been the one to confirm sets many times before but if you're asking if there is an official press release then i think not, however GRogall is bang on the money, there is an Orthanc Tower set. Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I'm hoping for Orthanc we will get Saruman, Grima, the little servant Orc, ( What commands from Mordor, my lord?) Gandalf the Grey, Armored Lurtz, another Eagle, (reuse the Black Gate one)..... And I can't think of any else really. Quote

You might have seen it already, but i'm not really into lotr. Most of us have seen it last year. No, it's not the tower of Barad-Dûr, it's quite clearly Orthanc. Quote
Flobnomdob Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I'm really hoping for a Rhosgobel, but if we can't get one I want a Radagast minifigure at least. Then I can MOC the rest. Maybe we'll get a set later with his rabbit-drawn sleigh? I'd love that! Got Attack of the Wargs yesterday, and really enjoying the ferocious looks on their faces. I don't think getting another will be a good idea though- I'd have to paint the Pale Warg for it to be useful. Quote

Thanks a lot for the info! It would be so great to have the Orthanc, hopefully with the exclusive figure of Grima and, if my wishes come true, the Dunlending chieftain. Quote
Legoman123 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 (edited) Well I think we will get radagast the browns house, because we did get two sets from the the next film, so when they do bring the next wave out they could bring one or two sets out from an unexpected journey (the first hobbit film) and a perfect one to bring out would be radagasts house. Edited February 5, 2013 by Legoman123 Quote
Darth Malgus Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I don't think we will get a Radagast house, perhaps Dol Guldor with him and one of the ringwraiths maybe. Quote
Mahtion Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Exactly I think we will get 2 sets from AuJ to make up for the first wave including preview sets. One will be Rhosgobel with Radagast, sled and attacking Mirkwood spiders and the other may be Wargs vs Elven riders. Other possibilities include a battle in front of Moria set, three trolls (I doubt this one) or maybe another Rivendell set. To be honest there aren't many other scenes which have not been covered. Mainly story progresses with Erebor, Hobbiton, Rhosgobel, Flashback Moria, Trollshaws, Rivendell hidden entrance, Rivendell, Stone giants, Goblintown, Gollum cave, Burning Trees, Eagles Carrock. brodey1 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Does anyone know when we will get pictures of the actual sets? Is there a toy fair where they are usually introduced? Quote
