Vindice Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I think we will see Sauron at some point. now thatwe've seen the Mouth of Sauron anything is possible. I think it's probably unlikely that we would seem him with Orthanc although it would certainly be welcome. i think treebeard is more likely to be included. my initial thoughts when this theme was released was that Sauron would eventually be seen either in a reasonably priced "Last alliance set" with Isildur and and some of mount doom with possibly a few extra figs or that we would see some form of Barad-Dur with an eye play feature and Sauron in physical form. I suppose it's not inconceivable that he could find his way into a Dol guldur set in his physical form. after all, kids aren't really fussed on continuity are they. Quote

General Magma Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 (edited) 6+? Last time I checked, The Hobbit was rated PG-13... Edited February 27, 2013 by General Magma Quote
jmagaletta Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 (edited) I will be getting this maybe, I remember reading that there will be extended editions similar to LOTR so might hold out for that. Edited February 27, 2013 by jmagaletta Quote
Niku Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 6+? Last time I checked, The Hobbit was rated PG-13... I think it refers to the minifig, not the rating for the movie. Quote
pathas Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I don´t know if I should buy this bluray version because I´m sure that we will get this Bilbo figures in some Hobbit sets in december. Quote

It says exclusive but it might be as exclusive as the one from Comic Con which appeared in the sets. Correct me if I'm wrong. Quote

PassionateMOCNoob Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 As for Orthanc minifigures, I would assume Grima and Saruman are pretty much givens if it actually does include any figs at all. I don't think we will see anymore Uruk-hai and I hope we don't since they were available already in fairly large numbers in the first wave. I wouldn't mind another worker orc or two and Treebeard and another Ent. Some Wild Men would be nice but I have a feeling our chances of seeing them are zilch to none. Of course if we get Ents we will also need Pippin and Merry so I really am not sure how it will pan out. On the one hand I feel it will be a USC set with few or no figures and just the tower since it has so few possible play features and seems to be a perfect USC model. On the other hand I feel like it may have the Ents and have tons of fun little features and minifigs. Yeah I was just teasing with the men from Dunland. I would really like it, but it's only possible if there will be 10+ minifigs in the Orthanc set. I think it's very unlikely but since there is a lego corsair anything is possible I guess. Safest bet is to have Saruman and Grima. Besides those it depends on the time (although considering there's orcs and a corsair in the ship set nothing will suprise me): - Gandalf + eagle + Mordor orc - Theoden (horse) + Legolas + Pipin (because of the Palantir) - Treebeard + Merry + Mordor orc Quote

No, the minifigure is from the scenes cut from the movie (seen in the trailers) where Bilbo is in hobbiton at the market and such. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 That is a neat figure, but I will have to pass. I'd much rather have the extended edition movie (if it comes out). I may have to pay the extra fee to get this figure on bricklink, which will probably cost as much as the movie costs because the aftermarket is ridiculous. Quote

just2good Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 What the fudge? I was not expecting that... Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I'll definitely be getting this! If it turns out to be an exclusive minifigure, that would be totally unexpected. Quote
zylek Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Dang, I was planning on getting the 3D version. I wonder what retailer will be getting this. Quote
Fives Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I don't have a blu-ray player, and if this is only in the US, I may just need to get this fig on eBay. But it is a nice fig. Quote
Rogue Angel Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I don't expect them to release this figure in another set. They did not release the video game Elrond figure, nor the celebration Han and Luke. Quote
howie28 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Yeah, if it says 'exclusive' it isn't going to be released in a normal set. Quote
Basteq Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Yeah, if it says 'exclusive' it isn't going to be released in a normal set. How about exclusive Bilbo from Comic Con? Isn't it identical to the one from ''An Unexpected gathering''? Quote
Deathleech Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Ya, that is really lame. It appears to be a Target exclusive as no other retailer with the pre-order is showing the minifigure, only Target is. At any rate I would of rather seen this in a complete Hobbit set after all three movies are released, or at the very least in the extended editions version. Quote

The_Chosen_1 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 It appears that it is indeed based on Bilbo from the deleted market scene: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sadVF1dhpr8/TwE846VrwmI/AAAAAAAAJHg/SvVBShcyeq4/s1600/5+Hobbiton+Market.png Since I can't see Lego making a set based on that scene, it looks like it really will be a true exclusive.
