Artanis I Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 These sets are on S@H so I ordered the castle and forest ambush ahead of retail availability, they turned up yesterday and the boxes were damaged, one was pretty badly squashed. What was it, an eBay transaction?! Not the type of thing you anticipate from TLG. They were all still sealed, but now I'm less likely to want to use S@H next time for gifts... Can't wait until I've got some room to put these sets up. I hope to get the Kingdoms out too, but I'll have to rearrange the shelves, pack up the Star Wars and... work miracles I think. Quote
Lord Butters Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I bought my first set's in a while after visiting the LEGO store in DTD on honeymoon. I got the Ambush and Gatehouse sets. I prefer the colour schemes to the previous Kingdoms line, but the builds themselves seem a bit more "child-friendly". I hope they continue the line though, as I missed out on the farm set, and would hope another version is released. Quote
kermit Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 I am optimistic that we might get another wave. We may have to wait till summer though since nothing was mentioned about a castle wave for the winter releases of sets. If sales of these series is good then we may but that depends on what plans lego has. Quote
Leoman Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) Completed the collection by just getting the Gold Getaway. The carriage is very good, I don't see the point of the flick missile crossbow thing but the outpost is ok. Overall I think this theme so good I had to buy them all. Its a shame that the carriage and the cataputs don't fit through the Gatehouse though. Edited September 1, 2013 by Leoman Quote
Sir Jonathan Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I hope they make more Castle- sets in 2014. Cause its not that they have made so many for this year I hope they make more Castle- sets in 2014. Cause its not that they have made so many for this year Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 There are a short animation series for castle on Lego Youtube: Looks pretty fun! Quote
Artanis I Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Haha. Interesting to see recoloured Kingdoms sets, and some vintage stuff in there too. She made the right choice in the end too Quote
parksroad Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Nice. Three chapters so far, and clearly intending more. Good sign that they're generating interest for another wave? Quote
8BrickMario Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) That's really cool. I like that the princess recognizes the knight's arrogance. And the shot of her with the dragon pennant is awesome! Edited September 11, 2013 by 8BrickMario Quote
TeufelHund Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Quite nice but seeing the castley bit from Kingdoms Joust redecked in new Castle blue is a bit off-putting! After watching all 3 chapters so far I'm suspecting the Princess is going to be changing her mind about our hero by the end of the series. Quote
8BrickMario Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I can't wait to see the resolution! And find out what happened to the king. I do hope the knight gets a happy ending. Quote
Faefrost Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 OK that video is hilarious and greatly entertaining Quote
Hive Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Quite nice but seeing the castley bit from Kingdoms Joust redecked in new Castle blue is a bit off-putting! I actually think that recolouring was quite spectacular, much better looking than the original. I'd like to see it released. Quote
andhe Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Those are great, and must have taken quite a bit of work. Nice to see some of the older sets in their as well. Quote
kermit Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I like the animation you made. It makes the sets pop and makes me want to get more. Quote
Hepitos Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 did i look right on Lego HP ? No castle advent calender this year? Quote
just2good Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 did i look right on Lego HP ? No castle advent calender this year? Nope, which is pretty strange. But there are already three new Advents on the market this year, so I understand. Quote
The Cobra Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Kingdoms had an advent calendar in its first year Fantasy era castle had it in its second year; I strongly hope that will happen for this new line too. Quote
Faefrost Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Kingdoms had an advent calendar in its first year Fantasy era castle had it in its second year; I strongly hope that will happen for this new line too. I think the third Advent Calendar slot has been taken up by Friends for last year and this year. Quote
8BrickMario Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 I like the animation you made. It makes the sets pop and makes me want to get more. Yes, LEGO really did a great job. If they want people to be more interested in their sets, then it works (for me)! Quote
The Cobra Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 I think the third Advent Calendar slot has been taken up by Friends for last year and this year. That's the main problem. If Friends and Star Wars calendars are selling big digits, and considering City as "granted", chances for a Castle AC are low. Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Actualy I find the new City calendar very usefull for castle. So much food, dalmatian, santa beard/sack SO MANY SPARES! Quote
kermit Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 I would think that the friends theme took preference over the castle advent calendar being made. Having four advent calenders may have been too much at one time. Quote
