TheLegoDr Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Top Ten. How can we limit it to so few? In no order: 1) Helm's Deep 2) Haunted House 3) Winter Village Cottage 4) Shelob Attacks 5) Tie Fighter 6) Joust 7) Town Hall 8) Fun House Escape 9) Jabba's Palace 10) Zombies I take back my original statement. I had a hard enough time coming up with 10! May the best set win. Quote
RaincloudDustbin Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 Time Up! I'll announce the winner in the next post... Quote
RaincloudDustbin Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 WOW! As expected, the top 2 sets were Haunted House and Helms Deep. The votes were 19-18. EB's Members Choice set of the year is... Haunted House! Thanks for all the votes guys. The reason I decided to do it like this was that I only counted sets that I saw more than around 4 times in the votes. Sets worth a mention: Haunted House Helms Deep Kingdom's Joust Jabba's Palace R2D2 Funhouse Sopwith Camel Uruk-Hai Army Desert Skiff Ghost. There were other sets which may have got more votes than the last 2 such as Town Hall or Quinjet but I didn't have time to check. Thanks again, TT. Quote
Haltiamieli Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) Out of 30 voters, these Top 13 sets got more than 4 votes (according to my Excel sheet): Haunted House 20 Battle of Helm's Deep 18 Kingdoms Joust 12 Jabba's Palace 11 Town Hall 10 R2-D2 9 Winter Village Cottage 8 Sopwith Camel 7 Vampyre Castle 7 Quinjet Aerial Battle 7 The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape 7 Uruk-Hai Army 6 Wolverine's Chopper Showdown 6 Ghost polybag and Desert Skiff both got 4 votes, which is very good for sets of their size. An Unexpected Gathering got 4 votes too - I suspect it would have got a few votes more if everybody would have remembered to count it as a 2012 set. I didn't. RaincloudDustbin Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 Sounds about right, thanks. I was in a rush and just thought it was better that I got the winner right which I did. Quote
Haltiamieli Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Sounds about right, thanks. I was in a rush and just thought it was better that I got the winner right which I did. No problem. I just had too many important things to do, so I spent an hour with mapping the results into Excel instead. I understand that not everybody has the luxury of being completely unable to sort their priorities. There were 61 sets on the whole that got votes and 38 of them got two or more. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I would have to put An unexpected gathering high on the list. If that counts as a 2012 set. Quote
Lego Junkie Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 1: 9466, The Crazy Scientist & His Monster. This has gotta be one of my favorite sets in recent years. I spent way too much time making zapping and vrooming noises with it after I'd put the kit together. No shame though, that's what it was made for! Quote
Cutcobra Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 10228 The Haunted House is definitely on that list. I second that. Quote
