CM4Sci Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 For those interested, the episode's already been available to view online for several days on this website. A different one from usual, but hey, it works. Personally, I thought the episode was decent at best. Any episode which features the Ravens is great in my book, but the whole thing screamed "filler" to me (except for Crooler). May be setting up something, however. We shall see... It freezes every 2 seconds for me... -Sci Quote
Meiko Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 It freezes every 2 seconds for me... -Sci Yeah, the TubePlus site is pretty bad with playback. I've tried to watch Doctor Who on it a few times, and it had the same problem with it stopping every few seconds. I think it's one of their intentional catches so you buy a "Premium" membership. I went ahead and just downloaded the video file from the site so that you don't have to use their stupid video player. Here's the video file. It's in an FLV format, so if you don't have anything to play that format, install VLC. Quote
krystalKING Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 (edited) Well, I believe that this was an enjoyable, not-so-filler episode, but it's not the best. First of all, the Speedor cruise is basically a recap of all existing tribes. (Except Furtivo) Second, Crooler's subplot had the wierdest sequence in Chima, ever. The third one, was the most interesting. Eris has been fleshed out a bit. At first I was thinking LavalxEris, I'm not sure anymore. We finally got an enjoyable air battle. The Ravens seem to settle in places rather quick, and the Eagles 'share one, share all', is a nothing new to me. I've done it, and I hated it. At least the Eagles, according to Eris, don't read personal stuff. I liked it, but the ending left me a little dissatisfied. EDIT: Site streaming works ine for me, not sure why it's failing for everyone else. Edited October 15, 2013 by krystalKING Quote
PenPlays Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Ravens VS Eagles is up. Now, only to find some time to watch it... Quote
Meiko Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 I watched Ravens vs. Eagles on the file I downloaded and linked above, but got bored early on. Near the start though, I realised that after this conversation: Raven: "How do you tell who's the richest and most important?" Eagle: "Oh we don't think that way. Our tribe is a utopian collective where everyone is equal and private ownership is striiiictly forbidden." The eagle tribe is essentially communist... Quote
krystalKING Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 first of all: SPOILERS AHEAD Reuinion gone wrong is a major turning point, Cragger is now a power-hungry demonic monster with glowing red eyes. I know that seems harsh, but its the only way I can describe it. Obviously the persuader plant's roots create the 'fog of destiny' A communal dream in which everyone sees ther destiny or some such. I'm going to just paraphrase what each one saw: Cragger: ultimate power Razar: The richest bird in Chima, being able to afford giving everything away Worriz: not sure, but it wasn't good Bladvic: not feeling sleepy Rogon: becoming the largest rock in the world Gorzan: spreading the love Eris: I'm not sure, she started fighting Cragger and didn't really say anything Laval: a leader who can follow the rules Skinnet was there, but he was himself, and didn't fall victim to the fog. Laval stole golden chi, and is now in exile, of his own choice too, Lagravis wanted to bend the rules for him. Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 20, 2013 Author Posted October 20, 2013 Before I watch Reunion Gone Wrong, I just want to ask Is anyone else tired of Gorzan using the same 'Not happy!' line? He's said it every episode! It's the same audio clip! -Sci Quote
krystalKING Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Before I watch Reunion Gone Wrong, I just want to ask Is anyone else tired of Gorzan using the same 'Not happy!' line? He's said it every episode! It's the same audio clip! -Sci I used to think it was funny, not anymore, and as far as I remember, he didn't use it in reunion gone wrong. I'm not sure what to think of it as a whole, if that's the season 1 end, then it was horrbile, if it's setting up for the season 1 end, which I believe it is, then I think the irst season is going to end on a high note, or with a downer ending, whichever fits. Also, I watched 'fake Chi, real trouble' again and reconized Lego's clones in it. Lego is real Chi, and the fake, while easier to produce, is of inferior quality. Quote
PenPlays Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Episodes 16 and 17 can both be found here. Be warned that the name of episode 17 is a spoiler for episode 16. Plenty of story that we could have used a long time ago are revealed in episode 17, including a history about a character who was rumored for the 2014 wave of sets... Quote
krystalKING Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 HORIZON, ONE WORD: HORIZON That was my favorite, and I love it! My thoughts: CAUTION SPOILERS AHEAD That was an interesting episode, Lavertus' backstory was an interesting, if Cliche, intro. and Laval, I knew he'd be back by the end of the episode (He's the main character, What'ya think was going to happen?), and Crooler, we finally know why she's so power-hungry, Being born first and then being ignored, I would probably do something similar. This seiries is building to the climax, and it seems my source was correct, the season is going to end on 20 episodes. I'm ready for the next one. Quote
PenPlays Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 HORIZON, ONE WORD: HORIZON I honestly wasn't expecting that song at all. Once I heard the opening of it, I thought, "Oh wow, fitting." It surprisingly set the mood really well. Why do I have this feeling now, that since Lagravis knows of Crooler's plan, he's gonna get killed off sometime here. He's my only spark of hope for this show so that will really depress me if that were to happen. I'm also curious if Shadow Wind is Lavertus. I know that it seemed like a long-shot at first, but know it seems all too likely. I also hope that if Crominus and Crunket return, they don't just scold Cragger and everything goes back to normal. That just seems all too likely to me. Quote
Mandate Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 20 episodes? Really? I mean, yeah, sure, NINJAGO only had 13 episodes a season but it had two seasons and 26 episodes within a year. While perhaps this is not the right thread for this, perhaps this means the first half of Season 4 for NINJAGO will be/have taken place by the end of the year? Quote
PenPlays Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 I think there will be a brief preview of "Season 4" of Ninjago with the premier of the last Chima episode. Much like the Chima preview after "Rise of the Spinjitzu master. Back on topic... By the looks of it, Laval will be meeting the 2014 characters within the next few episodes. The description of the Speedorz set revealed that Blista lives in the Badlands, meaning that our Scorpion and Spider friends should be showing up as well. Quote
krystalKING Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Yeah, I agree with you, he'll probabaly meet the 2014 characters, and we'll get a preview of Ninjago season four, and, if we're lucky, the second season for Chima. On the subject of Shadow Wind being Lavertus, everyone seems to believe it, but we still have little evidence. Here's what we've got to confirm it: Both Shadow Wind and Lavertus have been to the outlands. Lavertus has incredible tales told about him, we're not told, but he could've been the fastest speedor rider of his time. The way Shadow wind crossed his arms when Laval ran into had an almost parenting-or-experience look to it. Considering how Shadow Wind is the Samurai X of Chima, and how Nya was a samurai, not a ninja, that could add just a bit more. Shadow Wind uses a Lion Speedor. No one is supposed to talk to Lavertus, if he is Shadow Wind he would technically not be talking. Evidence againest the theory is less common, but more substantial. Shadow Wind's skin is visible through his suit, it's black. A lot of Shadow Wind's theme seems to revolve around boars, the tusks etc. And now, just to throw a wild idea out there, what if Shadow Wind is a personification of Chi? It would explain why he doesn't speak, and why he always has glowing blue eyes. Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) LEGO is uploading each episode on to their YouTube channel and are confirming a 20 episode series (I think someone confirmed that already). Just saying in case you want to watch older episodes. EDIT: Now it looks like they have been taken down. Go about your business. Edited October 30, 2013 by Wall E2624 Quote
PenPlays Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 They are uploading the episodes, yes, but not in English. Saddening yes, but the English speaking countries are where they get the big $$ when it comes to DVD sales. That hasn't stopped other video sites, however... Quote
Mesonak Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 SO, the identity of Shadow Wind has been revealed in leaked Speedorz packaging. If you'd like to know who he is, you can click this link and find out. If not, well... I don't blame you. Gotta keep some secrets alive. Quote
r4-g9 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Episode 18 "The Black Cloud" http://www.watchcartoononline.com/lego-legends-of-chima-episode-18-the-black-cloud Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 2, 2013 Author Posted November 2, 2013 Hmm. That episode was kind of boring... It was obvious that the cloud was bats, I expected a few to fall in, drink the CHI, and then Blista from the 2014 wave would appear! I'm curious to know what happened to Mount Cavora. -Sci Quote
ToaJaller78 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 This show needs to slow the F*** down. Quote
krystalKING Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Judging by what my source told me, we're in for a ride with the season finale, and it seems that he was right, kind of, about Mount Cavora failing, and the 2014 tribes appearing. Though my true reaction was something along the lines of WHAT THE! Quote
PenPlays Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Bats. Black Cloud is seriously the best name they could think of? Don't get me wrong, this was one of the better episodes. I really enjoyed Plovar in this episode. If krystalKING's source is correct, then we have only two episode left of the season. I do hope that we won't have to wait too long for the next season though. I'll probably have Ninjago to cope me over so I'm not too worried. Quote
krystalKING Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 My source has a 50/50 reliability rate, but most of the sites seem to be saying 20 episodes, so it's right, or a lot of people have been fooled. Anyway, Not sure entirley, but my source, last time I spoke, mentioned Cavora failing because of the new tribes being created. Quote
Mandate Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 That makes no sense... then again, the whole prospect of CHIMA makes no sense anyway. I doubt that would be the case, perhaps the mountain itself is just running out of CHI? Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 My source has a 50/50 reliability rate, but most of the sites seem to be saying 20 episodes, so it's right, or a lot of people have been fooled. Now THAT (what I thought) would be really interesting. -Sci Quote
