PenPlays Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 If there are only 20 episodes, we may be getting month-long hiatus shortly. According to the November-December 2013 Club magazine, it says that the season finale (called 'Raven Invasion') will be airing on December 5th. Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 If that isn't the lamest season finale episode name ever... Also, Episode 19 is called Chima Falls -Sci Quote
krystalKING Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I usually don't like cliff hangers, but that, mixed with filler, was just too far. Yeah, I watched Chima falls, and it was HORRIBLE. Quote
Mandate Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 (edited) Haven't watched all of Chima Falls yet, but from the way Lagravis said it it seems the reason why the fountain stopped was because of what they did to the Bat Tribe. Nope. It wasn't. That's for sure. Edited November 8, 2013 by JayWalker Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I thought Chima Falls was a good setup episode, I hope the final episode really delivers. Quote
Mandate Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I doubt it will. Chima has been an epic failure in terms of battle sequences, and there's no reason to believe THIS will be any different. Most likely case the Wolves will destroy the plege, Cragger becomes less evil, Mount Cavorah is fixed by the Beavers, etc. Though the major plot flaw is the fact that the Lions already held all the Chi in Chima. If they were to have deliberately stopped it flowing Chi, they'd just be hurting themselves in the long run. Or worse, they could have been like the Ravens and sold at insane prices. It's also fairly obvious that Rogon will stop the Rhinos because of Eris, happy ending blah blah blah. Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 Chima Falls can be viewed here. So far it's not too good. I still hate the Rogon/Eris thing. -Sci Quote
PenPlays Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 That was a sad excuse for a pre-finale. Allow me to share how I think this will end. No shots fired between the tribes, just words, but it gets resolved. Rogon rebels thanks Eris, he beats everyone else in some ridiculous form or another. Shadowind comes in and explains everything. The Legend beasts took their precious time and stops the fight. In other words, this looks like it's going to be a boring finale. Quote
krystalKING Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I know, but I'm hoping my source is right. He said something along the lines of a large battle, an injury of some sort, Shadow Wind being revealed and a tear jerker. I hope he's right. Quote
ToaJaller78 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 ................................................................................Just whan I thought the show was improving.......... Quote
Mandate Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I think we have all had to learn that the hard way. I was finally starting to warm up to Chima, then the Fog of Destiny stuff happened, and then Black Cloud and Chima Falls happened too. This show just has up-down points. I can't help but compare this to the NINJAGO "finales," in both of which the horrible thing that happened was much worse than what Chima had going on. The first time, it was the Devourer. Major problem? It's so incredibly huge and nearly impossible to destroy. Then Garmatron. The problem? Lloyd still didn't want to fight Garmadon, even while he was possessed by the Overlord. Then he broke his leg, then everyone but Kai, Sensei, Dareth and Wu were corrupted, and then the Overlord nearly destroyed Lloyd. ...however, with this, the solutions are too insanely easy (even going by the show's previous plot). No one dies in Chima, except of old age, seemingly. Or in other words the entire world is safe. Rogon and Eris will make up, and Rogon will stop the Rhinos. The Wolves will destroy the pledge, Cragger will be reminded of his parents and become non-evil again. The Ravens will be bought off by someone, the Beavers will fix Cavora, the end. And ShadoWind will appear, be revealed to be Lavertus, explain Cragger's parents (being what turns cragger non-evil) and say what the only way to free them will be. Or in other words, the ENTIRE PLOT of Chima revolves around two old people in a Gorge who, when having the chance to be rescued, were left behind in favor of a pledge. (which, of course, ShadoWind knew would only stir more trouble than should he have rescued Cragger's parents) Quote
ToaJaller78 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I originally thought: -Lion Temple battle -Craggers parents come back -Something happens to Crooler Quote
PenPlays Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I have this feeling that Crooler isn't going to be the future Queen of the Crocs we always thought she was going to be. Best guess is that shes locked in that dungeon for the rest of the series. Quote
Mandate Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Yeah. Crooler will be stuck there once Cragger's parents find out what happened. Or it will be a happy ending and her parents find out what really happened, and the entire series just becomes bogus. Quote

Mandate Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Isn't it already pretty bogus? Yes, very much so The main... failure... of Chima for me was the lack of maturity and depth in the world. It only has limited story potential (quality, that is) because the universe just doesn't have that much to offer. X amount of tribes fighting over a drug-like source, a family that keeps turning evil and then good, and vice versa, a terrible host of characters with next to no "improvement," potential, and a not-very mysterious black racer who seems to half the time do nothing that leads to a good ending. They locked themselves into this problem when the concept of Chima's story was first thought of. There was no way to introduce a new faction in the existing world or open up new conflicts that would actually mean something. The only way they did (and could) do this was through the Outlands. And I can't personally see any further story potential unless they introduce a new area or an unexplained part of the Outlands. NINJAGO is able to further its story development in almost any possible way because of the open-ended nature of it. Half the universe of NINJAGO has not yet been explained in detail, or been seen. There are many possible story opportunities still left, expansions on previous events (Sensei Wu's friendship with Kai's father as Garmadon turned evil, the First Spinjitzu Master's battles with the Serpentine, Overlord, etc, Zane's father, etc) and in the untold regions to the North, East and South. krystalKING Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Well, it's been a while, with no new episode leaks, I guess this means we'll be waiting until december 5th for the finale? Quote
Meiko Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Well, it's been a while, with no new episode leaks, I guess this means we'll be waiting until december 5th for the finale? Most likely. Quote
Mandate Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Maybe we'll get lucky and there'll be no finale. (no offense Chima fans, but that's the way half the LEGO lines end and believe me... with the way Chima is going it might be better to not know what they had planned anyway) Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 Episode 20 is called 'For Chima!' and it's aired in some places already, so there will be a finale. -Sci Quote
krystalKING Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 So, a couple of things must have happened: One, this isn't the season finale. Two, They renamed the season finale. Three, the season finale was never named Raven Invasion. Quote
Mandate Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) LEGO has already uploaded the new episodes in another language. Yeah, yeah, different language, but better than nata: https://www.youtube....h?v=vVZerDHuAG0 EDIT: Description says something about 2014, I'll get a trans. later. ShadoWind appears later, and so does one of Cragger's parents (out of the gorge) EDIT 2: Description says "20th part of the popular TV series - tales of fantasy world Chima. On the new episodes to look forward to in the spring of 2014!" So yeah, this is the finale. Can't say I'll miss the series, but the battle sequence looks really lame. EDIT 3: Well, I'm not gonna spoil much else, but from the way the voice acting was done it sounds like there's some sort of prophecy regarding the outlands and Mt Cavorah. EDIT 4: They do the pact, and the "cloud" returns. Lamest finale I've ever seen. Terrible final battle, stereotypical "main character dies but the returns and saves the day" sequence, terrible reintroduction of a character, etc. Just horrible. CM4Sci Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 Lions without a crown has to be one of the oddly funniest things I've seen. I'll actually watch it later, it just looks like one huge battle. -Sci Quote
krystalKING Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 WHAT IN THE NAME OF F*** That was not a satisfying ending AT ALL. SLIGHT SPOILERS First of all, The battle, while akward, was alright compared to some stuff. The Croc Legend beast isn't really what I expected. Crunket's return was horrible. I agree with CM4S, A lion without a crown is hilarious. The whole thing felt rushed, and Shadowind still hasn't been revealed. Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 Ok, so I'm actually watching it now, and this is just awful. I keep laughing at when Lagravis yells 'LAVALAMP' -Sci Quote
