lightningtiger Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 And I'll bet we in Oz will have to wait two or three months into the season in the US to start seeing this on CN......kids will be wondering what these Chima sets are in the stores along side of Ninjago. Quote
PenPlays Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I wonder why so late (date, not time)? I kind of thought they would want to air it early in January... but maybe Ninjago will be airing then? That was about the same time the pilot episodes of Ninjago aired. I just hope they don't wait until next December to actually start the series! Quote
Kai NRG Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 That was about the same time the pilot episodes of Ninjago aired. I just hope they don't wait until next December to actually start the series! Yeah, but I kind of figured LEGO would be a bit more up-to-date with Chima! Quote
Meiko Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Oh boy! I can't wait! Too bad it's in the middle of January though. I'd like to have it sooner. :P Quote
Garmadon Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Anyways, I thought this should probably go here, being a trailer, even though everyone has probably already seen it: Anyhow, from the info we have now, it appears that a one hour special will air on Cartoon Network on Wednesday, January 16th, no? Quote
Meiko Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) Anyways, I thought this should probably go here, being a trailer, even though everyone has probably already seen it: *snip* Anyhow, from the info we have now, it appears that a one hour special will air on Cartoon Network on Wednesday, January 16th, no? Haha I uploaded that video and should have shared it in this topic. Oh wait that would be a double post if I did. But yeah, there will be a one-hour premier on Wednesday, January 16th at 7:30 pm (6:30 central) in North America at least. Edited December 28, 2012 by Meiko Quote
Brickington Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 That I will watch. However I probably won't watch the series or buy any of the sets. Quote

PenPlays Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Now owning some of the sets, I'm very curious of how this show will play out... The fact that we can't decide which gender Ewald is is irritating me. I'm hoping for some info on that for the Season Preview. Also, why Season Preview. Why not a Season premiere and get on with the show! Quote
Kai NRG Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 ...The fact that we can't decide which gender Ewald is is irritating me. I'm hoping for some info on that for the Season Preview.... After seeing him up close in Rogueang's review, I'm almost positive he's male. Quote
Fikko3107 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 It looks...promising. completely looking forward to it. Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 I can confirm that the first two episode names (or the 1 hour special) are "The Legend of Chima" and "The Great Story". -Sci Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Really, "The Great Story".....a little uninspiring isn't it, but still by the looks of what previews we have seen it might be so good as Ninjago. I've just sent an email to CN here in Oz to find out when this series will air here. Quote
Meiko Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 "The Great Story" sounds like it might be a flashback episode and have a lot of background information. Hopefully I'm right! Quote
krystalKING Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I usually watch anything related to Lego, even if i don't like the theme. this is he same way, except that I own Ewar's acro fighter. I am eargerly awaiting to see if Ewar is in it, and to hear Eris' voice. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 I'm really excited for this show but, living in the UK with those toy advertising laws we have , I'm not going to be able to watch this . Hopefully someone will put the episodes on YouTube when they air so people in my situation can enjoy them. Quote
Lance Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I'm really excited for this show but, living in the UK with those toy advertising laws we have , I'm not going to be able to watch this . Hopefully someone will put the episodes on YouTube when they air so people in my situation can enjoy them. Actually, since Chima is a multimedia franchise, it might be allowed. Hero Factory was allowed to air in the UK, so why Ninjago never did was beyond me. I think it's likely that Chima will reach UK TV screens, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was declined. Quote
Kalhiki Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Tomorrow. I'm so excited. The show looks simply epic, if you ask me. Plus, I'm really looking forward to seeing where the story goes. Aside from the basics, we really have no in-depth story information. Being a big fan of the Ninjago series, I'm wondering how this will compare. Kalhiki Quote
DraikNova Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Whooo! We're going to get videos soon! Quote
Aethersprite Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Hope past uploaders of Ninjago episodes will have the Chima special up on YouTube soon enough! Quote
DraikNova Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I'll have to wait till tomorrow afternoon though. Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 (edited) I actually recorded the first 15 minutes, but then I had no more room to film If anyone wants to see it, I believe the sound is fine, and is in 720p quality. EDIT: Here's a minute clip I managed to get right before a commercial/stopped working: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS0pPfBgOg8 Then here's the other 10 minutes from the beginning (WATCH THIS FIRST) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXQhyj_JF8Y But onto the short review: The opening was pretty cool, I like how they did that New characters!! Skinnet looks cool! Poor Worriz I do have to say, the music is really good. I don't know if Jay did this music too, but I really enjoy it. Also, it's good to know that Cragger's parents aren't dead...yet. (?) It's awesome that we got to see a little more to the CHI Temple. I'm just super excited for this! Might update post for next episode. -Sci Edited January 17, 2013 by CM4S Quote
Faefrost Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Is it just me, or is anyone else getting a bit of a "Game of Thrones" vibe coming off of this one? Quote
refriedbeans Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Well that was quite awful in my opinion. Way to much "I can't believe you did this to me! You'll pay Laval!" over and over. And Eris is a little whinny and not a strong character like I was hoping her to be. But the animation was good! Quote
