DLuders Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 On his LEGOstudio Model Gallery, ISOGAWAYoshihito posted his cool Lego Technic OMNI WHEEL CRAB with several detailed pictures so you could possibly make your own: Quote
Philo Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Cute and clever, as usual... I wonder how it is controlled, omniwheel vehicles are not easy to control with a 4 sticks remote... Maybe a NXT + IR-link? Quote

The of aeh5040's "Lobster" Lego Technic Mecanum Wheel Car shows how one can use two Power Functions remotes. His Lobster Building Instructions show those remotes too: Quote
Philo Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Agreed, but aeh5040's includes a bunch of differentials to make control easy, something that doesn't exist (as far as I can see) in Isogawa's crab. Controlling each wheel separately is tricky (but then I tend to be all thumbs ;) Quote
ms09 Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Very cute MOC from ISOGAWAYoshihito, like always. Quote
Jay53CR Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Hey! What type of wheels did you use for the Omni wheel construction? Quote
AFOLegofan66 Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 I made this cute crab LEGO moc and it works well! Still have it on a shelf somewhere...too nice to take apart! Quote
