September 13, 201311 yr Finally? The series is barely out! Well the hype is over, it's been out since 2 to 3 weeks...
September 13, 201311 yr Anybody finding the Grandma's to be not so rare? I don't bother feeling packets during the early days and generally buy 2 figs a week and I've ended up with FIVE of them (including one I traded for)! Edited September 13, 201311 yr by Praiter Yed
September 13, 201311 yr I bought 16 packs and got 5 yeti's. The only multiples I got. At least it was better that the series 10 where I also bought 16 packs and only got indians, romans and painters. I do wish I had gotten atleast the gingerbread man to go with my winter village. The figures seem to be getting less stiff as the series progresses. For example, I find that my minifigures legs tend to bend way too easily. The only strong clutch power is the head and neck part. The female robot reminds me of rosie from the jetsons. In fact it looks exactly like her minus the dial in the back. Edited September 13, 201311 yr by kermit

Call it unfair but I just don't feel like sitting in a toy store for an hour feeling packets). I got a few doubles but the most I ended up with was 5 welders. Must be an unpopular figure. As for the looseness of parts, I find it's really hit or miss. I started collecting during series 9, and I found it's pretty random whether I get loose legs or not, even among the same figures from the same box. Chinese "quality"..........

No, there are 6 of them in the box, so everyone think they can get it whenever they want. I usually take approx 5 secs per feel, so a whole box for me it's not an hour, but no more than 6 7 minutes... and here it is actually forbidden to feel packet at home.
September 13, 201311 yr Looking for more Tiki's today, my mum & I spent 1 hour at Walmart and made it through the rough equivalent of about 5 boxes worth of packs... They had 8 boxes out on the shelf, though the things were a complete jumbled mess. Came out with 6 Tiki's and decided to just stick with that for the day. Only need two more to get my even dozen!

September 13, 201311 yr I'm too much sorry for the fact this seem to be the last "standard" series... You are talking about Series 12 being based on TLM, and Series 13 or 14 being based on LEGO Minifigures Online? It is an interesting topic to discuss, how incorporating them effects what normally would have been done. I lean towards a positive influence though, the Series coming out next year will be the most anticipated for me in a very long time. A Funcom rep hinted about figs in S13 or 14, mythology, space, pirate and castle minifigs designed specifically for the game, and others that work well. I would guess S14 to be a standard Series.

It is confirmed that the next series is based on The LEGO Movie (not confirmed to be called Series 12). Series 13 is rumored to be based on The Simpsons, and Series 14 is speculated to be based on the Minifigure MMORPG.

As for series 12, only time will tell However, I really hope that's not the case for series 13. The CMF series have always delivered with variety, appeasing all kinds of builders, from Medieval like myself, to Sci-fi and City fans, and all others I may have missed. Having a theme based on The Simpsons, though I am a huge fan, would be against the spirit of the CMF line. As for the MMO themed Packs, again I guess that's too far ahead to be thinking about for me

Series 13 is rumored to be based on The Simpsons, and Series 14 is speculated to be based on the Minifigure MMORPG. Well, I wouldn't exactly call it speculation because at Gamescon Funcom said the plan is to launch the game with a Series in the 2nd half of 2014. A full set of 16 they confirmed it would be too. As for Series 12, Klaus-Dieter saw the retailer catalog and posted about it here. The way he described it, sounds like it will be 12 and not a special release like Team GB. I am guessing that is the way the retailer catalog portrayed it as well.
September 14, 201311 yr I love the movie tie-in. It gives us a chance for some great minis, hopefully honest Abe, Michelangelo, and some classics too. What I wouldn't like is an entire Simpsons series. Lego has been so good about not putting all their eggs in one basic, each series has something for everyone. A Simpsons theme would be very specific to certain buyers. Still, I'm not tired of CMFs yet! This series has kept me interested!
September 14, 201311 yr I dont mind one bit if the next series is based on The Lego Movie as long as it has useful torsos, useful non-flesh heads and useful accessories.

Same here, a Lego Movie based series could end up being really cool and unique. I just really hope they don't do a full-on Simpsons themed series... Too narrow a theme and I'd fear a price hike due to the licencing factor.
September 14, 201311 yr LOL, you guys are not gonna believe this, but I ordered 2 of these through S@H and I got 2 Holiday Elves!
September 15, 201311 yr Well, I've finally gotten my first eight minifigures - random packets, courtesy of Shop at Home. They arrived the day before yesterday, but I didn't open them until today. My initial mix: two Gingerbread Men, one Constable, one Yeti and four Barbarians (!). It's a good thing I kind of wanted multiples of that figure anyway. I do now have probably all the Barbarians I'll want, though, or close to it, and I'll probably get all my other S11's in brick-and-mortar stores, feeling the packets to get exactly what I want. I must admit I'd have liked to have gotten a somewhat more diverse mix in my initial batch of eight... but since I do want at least two of every one of them anyway, and more of some of them, I'm still happy. That said, I still need to pick up some more S9 and S10. Trying to keep up with these things is getting rather difficult!
September 15, 201311 yr LOL, you guys are not gonna believe this, but I ordered 2 of these through S@H and I got 2 Holiday Elves! Back in Series 1 days, US had a max.5x order limit. If you check the old topic, someone was sent 5 Crash test dummies. Limit for Italy is now 16 (it used to be 60 back then), I have yet to know if someone dared to buy them. As for me, I was lucky to find S11 near home, and they were very easy to feel so I grabbed the whole series at once.
September 15, 201311 yr Is the climber the most common fig? I bought four packs and ended up with four of him. Now I'm trying to find a use for his rope pieces.

September 16, 201311 yr I'm finding the English Bobby to be the most common. The number of times I've felt that helmet... Agreed, I must have found him fully half of the times I've felt the packs.
September 16, 201311 yr Female scientists & elves are pretty common too! Felt through a fresh box in Waterstones last week & the 1st 7 that I felt in the 1st row consisted of 5 scientists & 2 elves! Pretty poor distribution from TLGs part on that one! At least mix them up instead of bunching them all together! Gonna be some disappointed kids & angry parents out there if that's the same layout in all of the boxes!
