Sorry if I'm late to this party but I just have to slow-clap it out for Just2Good. That rap was magnificent haha. Anyway, I'm really hoping we get the rest of the pics pretty soon, I'm dying from anticipation!

Thanks! :classic:

We're all waiting... These should start being available aroud the world in early August/late July!

You're talking about the pictures, right? Because the actual figs come out in September.

Nope, I was refering to the figures. Taking from the Bizzy Series 8 incident of July 2012, these should start to show up officially in Europe late July, and in the United States mid August. Don't ever listen to LEGO when they say a September release for figures in the United States.

Darn, this post has so many links it looks like it needs a bibliography!

As just2good said, they'll likely be out in August. However, LEGO's "official" release date is September, as you said.

Ah yes, I remember the early release of Series 8. I bought the Diver just a few days after it was revealed! Goooood times. :)

(20 more were to follow!)

Just out of interest - why did you buy 21 divers? What do you intend to do with them all?

I wish I'd bought 21 bats. That was my favorite wave. It's a shame I can't find it or 7 anywhere anymore. I could always go for a few more black knights. (I have 5)

I can't wait for more pictures. If the jazz musiscian comes with a sax, I might die of happyness.

But once again - what would you do with them all? I found a shop with Series 6 figures the other day and was pleased to finally own a Sleepyhead figure, which is my favourite (only the sleeping face side though). Series 8 was one of the best waves and I sadly missed a few there too. I am also eagerly awaiting the jazz musician in Series 11 and he will hopefully come with a decent metallic saxophone and a Panama Hat (we haven't had enough instruments or musicians previously - I would then possibly understand the 'Army Builders' and buy a decent sized orchestra if there were more suitable figures in future series. Maybe Grandma will be a keen tuba player ! (p.s. my 'Enter' button doesn't seem to work any more on this forum so I can't reply on a separate line - any suggestions?)

Raises an interesting question of what CMs are the biggest army builders, and how many? Perhaps a topic for another thread one day...

Well, with the bats its more of a compulsion to have them because they're adorable and perfect and I neeeeeedz them! :wub_drool: (Bats are my favorite animal after all, and the Lego Bat minifigure is just so beautiful. I have three or four of them.), but with the Black Knight, it's to build a genuine army of Black Knights that I can use in castle mocs and whatnot (Heroica). It's the same reason people buy multiples of castle sets with good knight minifigures.

You found Series 6?! I only got one or two from that series, and I really want some from it! I'm quite jealous.

Where did you find that? I hope it isn't it, since the Bobby on the left in the comparison looks like a better minifig possibility.. It's more traditional, too. I hope that picture isn't what we're getting. He looks darker skinned. Hmm...

A dark and blurry picture. Hmmm.... Perhaps JeagerEX could provide a link to the source?

From the LEGO Movie trailer- the 49 seconds mark.

He should have yellow hands (collectible minifigs from the trailer are yellow), and this one looks licensed.

I'm still waiting for the pics of Tiki Warrior and the Bavarian girl...

I don't think a minifig from the lego movie is relevant. But a Renaissance Michelangelo would be cool

And yes, it is too similar to the CM 9 cop.

I think that constable looks really nice, we need more British minifigures (I won't count Team GB).

We got the Royal Guard in Series 5- that's British, right? They should do one for each country... Unless the Series 9 Police Man counts for the US. :look:

Oh, the policeman is from the movie. If you look up the word constable you'll find that it can refer to a variety of professions in a variety of countries over the course of history. It may not be a policeman at all.

In the Danish armed forces the ranks "Konstabel" and "Overkonstabel" are used for professional enlisted soldiers, sailors and airmen. The rank is more or less equal to a Private (rank) or Private 1st class (rank), but higher than the rank "menig" which literally translates into "private" and applies to a drafted soldier only.
In Jersey and Guernsey, the elected heads of the Parishes are titled "constables" (connétables in French). The constables are entitled each to carry a silver-tipped baton of office.
Historically, the title comes from the Latin comes stabuli (attendant to the stables) and originated from the Eastern Roman Empire; originally, the constable was the officer responsible for keeping the horses of a lord or monarch.[1][2] The title was imported to the monarchies of medieval Europe, and in many countries developed into a high military rank and great officer of State (e.g., the Constable of France).
