The_Creator Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) *snip* Mr. Gold has a gold lightsaber attached to a gold staff… If-I-find-it,-I-can't-keep-it,-must-resist-and-sell. EDIT: Ooh, paint bucket. Gotta get the Painter now! Edited March 20, 2013 by The_Creator Quote
just2good Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Loving the packaging! Seems like Mr. Gold will be super rare! Quote
CM4Sci Posted March 20, 2013 Author Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) We knew about the paint bucket and dual head Medusa for a while. (Or at least I did. ) In other "news", here's a new pic of Mr. Gold: Mr Gold Bio -Sci Edited March 20, 2013 by CM4S Quote
TeufelHund Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) That armour print on the Centurion is beautiful - although he is going to take a bit of careful bag groping to find as he doesn't have any really distinct large parts. He's my only must-have from this series. I might get the Amazon, Medusa and Revolutionary soldier but otherwise this series isn't doing anything for me. Edited March 20, 2013 by TeufelHund Quote
The_Creator Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 So are all the minifig Bios up for 10? I can't tell because my internet and LEGO.com are disagreeing right now... Quote
Good Cragger Fan Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) *snip* No, just not so good photos. I changed them. I don't know, because they selling them only per piece in these strings what you seen in the first photo. The price of a bag is the usual £2 $3 so a box is 2(3)*60. About the Revolutionary Soldier, all I can say (besides it being a very awesome minifigure that allows us to build a modern version of LEGO Imperial Blue Coat army of minifigures, otherwise ) is this: (In Darth Vader's voice) "Nooooo!!!!!!!!" (for the fact that it does not come with any hat accessories, me never mind a shako, bicorner or tricorner hat). Because of this, I say shame on you LEGO!!!! Now, It will be much more difficult for me to make a complete Imperial Blue Coat army with appropriate hat wear like bicorners and, especially, shakos and tricorners, as I don't have very many spares of the shako and none of the tricorners and not even enough of the bicorners for the 2009 to 2010 version of the Imperial Red Coat army minifigures that I have in my collection -- and I don't like buying online from any website other than at www.shop.lego.com and Amazon (as long it is a first party seller)! Yooha Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) I bought the Centurion and the Medusa just in the morning. The Medusa is easy too find. I guess that's the only bulky bag. The minifig's "axis" is perpendicular to the bag's plane, so the long tail is downdards int he bag, not backwards. Edited March 20, 2013 by Yooha Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 So are all the minifig Bios up for 10? I can't tell because my internet and LEGO.com are disagreeing right now... Only Mr. Gold's bio is up as of yet. The other bios should come very soon. As for the impending release of this series, it is, for me, a slight concern because I still haven't completed Series 9 yet and don't get many opportunities to be specific with which ones I get, so I hope that these aren't released until May in the UK as was originally stated. Llew Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Now that I saw the pic of the bags in stores, I just can't help wondering if a Mr. Gold was one.....ARGH!!! Nope. I searched all (~70-80 bag) for it. That armour print on the Centurion is beautiful - although he is going to take a bit of careful bag groping to find as he doesn't have any really distinct large parts. It's easy to find. The helmet is one of the bigest headgear or piece in the series. If you got a big one, you just searc the gladius for confirmation. I bought the Centurion and the Medusa just in the morning. The Medusa is easy too find. I guess that's the only bulky bag. The minifig's tail "axis" is perpendicular to the bag's plane, so the long tail is downdards int he bag, not backwards. Yes, the medusa definitely the bigest, so it's easy. Most of the figs has small pieces, so it's not the easiest series to grope the one we want. After the medusa, I think the amazon's (spear and shield), and the cenutrion's (helmet) accessories the easiest to find. Quote
andhe Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 I'd be interested to know the distribution (per box) for this series. Hopefully they've stuck to putting more of the traditional 'army builders' in, like series 9. When might we see Whitefangs review? Quote
CM4Sci Posted March 20, 2013 Author Posted March 20, 2013 When might we see Whitefangs review? I'd say within a week and a half. -Sci Quote

The Sea Captain has a rather big gull and I've found the Bee Girl (helmet and pot), Clown (hat) and the Baseball Catcher (just find the torso and you'll instantly spot the unique hand) to be among the easier to spot ones, too. Distribution seems to be quite off for this non-box source. The Medusa, Trendsetter and Paintball Player seem to be extremely rare, maybe only 1 per 60. The good news for the army builders is that the Centurion and Mohawk seem to be among the more common ones while the Revolutionary Soldier and Amazon seem to be in the rare to average range. I don't know how this will translate to box distribution though. Quote
Mencot Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 What out already, in Hungary... it is the middle of march, has it come out anywhere else? Hopefuly we will see them in Finland soon then The ones I am gonna get looks good so I have to start having my eyes open for these now :) Quote
KartoffelViking Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 The following sentence from Mr. Gold's bio (http://minifigures.l...os/Default.aspx) is rather intriguing: "[...] he may be discovered in all sorts of unexpected places, but he never seems to turn up exactly when and where you’re looking for him." Will he be limited to CMF series 10? Will he actually be inside a CMF bag? This would make it rather easy for people (i.e. adults) to just feel the bags until they find one (even if Mr. Gold is awfully elusive and rare), and the CMF boxes and bags at my local Target, Kmart, Big W etc. will be even more ravaged than usual. It would make more sense if the "Mr. Gold bags" simply contained a normal CMF and some token to claim Mr. Gold (Willy Wonka style). Quote

I'm sure TLG are more than aware that people 'feel before they buy' and a token (maybe accompanying the tick sheet) would be more likely to increase sales (or increase people ripping open packets in store...) as you would have no idea if the sky-diver you didn't want actually had a Mr.Gold winning ticket in... Has there been any official statement as to who/what/how he's being distributed? Now that series 10 has hit stores I would have expected a big announcement. Quote
Alfadas Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) hey everyone, I have found a picture of the CM series 10! Enjoy! No, it is not my foto, I found it when I was browsing brickset.com. Edited March 20, 2013 by jeroenaa Quote

natesroom Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 They would have been smarter if they released mr gold as a regular figure with the "gold version" rare. Do you think that might be what they mean by "but he never seems to turn up exactly when and where you’re looking for him." Quote

WhiteFang Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Thank you for sharing, but there is an existing discussion for Series 10. Thus, this topic will be lock. Quote
Brickcetra Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) TLG was discussing a change in the number of minifigures per box. Will series 10 only be available in a smaller box of 30 figs (containing 1 complete set of 16 figs and 14 random others)? It will be interesting to find out if the distribution of the random figs is different for every case. Edited March 20, 2013 by Brickcetra Quote

It will be interesting to find out if the distribution of the random figs is different for every case. There was rumour of this for the last series. I think it turned out to be smaller boxes that could be placed by a cash til/register. But these boxes were provided empty and were instead filled by taking packets from a usual size box. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 I still plan on getting the same figures I wanted originally. I think the revolutionary soldier would benefit from a tricorn/hair combo like in POTC. But I think the wig will be more useful for more people. So it doesn't bother me to not have tricorns. I think I have quite a few laying around from the early Imperial sets. The Roman will be great. And the amazon warrior moved up a few slots on my list, so I will probably build an army of her after all. Mr. Gold would already normally be easy to find, other than the rarity. There is only one top hat figure in this series. They should have released Mr. Good and Evil along with Mr. Gold, so you'd have an extra figure to feel through. That would be especially evil of TLG. Quote
Mr Bill Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 They look great. This is one of the few series where I like ALL the figures and wouldn't mind duplicates of any! As for Mr. Gold, well, I'll just my a box and hope that my box is one of those that contains him. Does anyone know how many boxes they make of each series? With 5000 Mr. Golds (the reported limited quantity) box buyers would have a 1 in 4 chance if they make 20,000 boxes or a 1 in 10 chance if they make 50,000 boxes or a 1 in 20 if they make 100,000 boxes... --Mr Bill Quote
