March 28, 201311 yr Well, ID wise, they are the same, but visually there is a noticeable difference. It isn't variability either, since some minifigs (Mermaid, for example) all have one shade, while others (Starlet) all have the other shade. If you meant something else, then please tell me, but it's interesting how the visible color difference is consistent per specific 'fig, yet LEGO classifies it as the same. Well in that case that suggests that for some reason or another, a production run of one hairpiece got more dye than a production run of the other, or something to that effect. Since dye is added during molding and all CMFs are molded in one plant over a (comparatively) shorter span of time than regular sets, it's not unbelievable that this sort of thing could happen across-the-board for those particular hairpieces. Does make me wonder whether this was within the normal tolerances for color variability or whether they were pressed to allow sub-standard parts through to production, though. If it's the latter, then it's quite disappointing, since the CMFs have improved so much in quality since the wildly varying quality of Series 1 and 2. Is one variety more translucent than the other? I know it's not totally a fair comparison, since the parts have different thicknesses and surface finishes, but if one variety is in fact more translucent then that would strongly suggest a batch of parts that didn't get enough dye. March 28, 201311 yr The release date shouldn't be confusing. Official TLG release is May. Other stores might, and only might, have them in mid to late April.
March 29, 201311 yr Okay. I was confused because LEGO store people said beginning of April.... bummer.
March 29, 201311 yr Weird. Well, I'll give one thing to you. If they were being released in April, the Bios would be up by now.
March 29, 201311 yr Weird. Well, I'll give one thing to you. If they were being released in April, the Bios would be up by now. True... Series 5's were up 3 weeks before they came out. I remember I went to the store only to find out that mean old LEGO released info too early!
March 29, 201311 yr I have been regularly checking the minifigure section of the US version of shop.lego.com for at least the listing for Series 10. Sometimes they list up-coming items for sale with their available shipping date listed, which is usually the advertised in-store availability date. For weeks Series 9 was listed as sold out, so I was hoping to see Series 10 listed. Today I find Series 9 is back in stock. I should note that the page still also lists Series 8, even though they have been sold out and officially retired for months.
March 29, 201311 yr A Walgreens nearby me has a few S8 packets. Every time I come, though, they're a different set. Either they are somehow getting more, or (more likely) they are putting out a few from a box at a time. The last time I went I didn't see any. I just thought it was peculiar to see S8's so late. March 30, 201311 yr Series 10 is already out in Poland too, I found it today. So those in Eastern Europe should check their shops now (unless they're closed for Easter...) and I guess the rest of Europe will have it soon as well. I searched through some 50-60 figures and couldn't find Medusa or Trendsetter at all. No sign of the Golden Minifig either .
March 30, 201311 yr What I don;'t understand is why Europe gets them NOW and America has to wait to late April-May! Unfair, LEGO! Unfair! Now that I'm done ranting, it's interesting that the Trendsetter is rare. Her highly desirable parts may be the reason, though I thought that she would be common to mid-rare.

I'm gonna go with "Because it's a European company?"
March 31, 201311 yr I could counter with why did America get galaxy squad at christmas and Europe has to wait until August for it? LEGO moves in mysterious ways.....

OT i will check the stores here in Prague, I hope I'll find 2 roman soldiers, medusa and sad clown

March 31, 201311 yr I was recently browsing about brick set, when I came across an image of the Revolution Soldier. This image shows that his wig is tied back by a wonderful blue ribbon. I'm unsure if anyone has seen this feature yet so, here it is:
March 31, 201311 yr Okay. I was confused because LEGO store people said beginning of April.... bummer. Someone who worked in the Lego store told me the 1st April too but she didn't seem very reliable, I'm going to pop down tomorrow to have a look and if they are out I'll post it up here.

Well, 1 down, 4999 to go! Or is it an April Fool prank? Edit: Yes, it is... Edited April 1, 201311 yr by Ardelon
April 1, 201311 yr Well, since WhiteFang's review says they are apparently released today, feel free to throw some tomatoes!
April 1, 201311 yr This guy is super lucky (I wish I could have the same luck) http://www.bricksetf...ld-found#latest It's an April Fool's joke, just like the site changing its name to Ameribricks.
April 1, 201311 yr It's an April Fool's joke, just like the site changing its name to Ameribricks. Yes I did kind of guess that because that picture is rather bad and the user who posted that discussion has the user name of the anagram April Fools Day (the ameribricks is a rather good joke)
April 2, 201311 yr The Ameribricks joke is enhanced by the fact that American and non-Europeans can join (I am proof of this). It had seemed peculiar that it remained Eurobricks while Europe is inconsequential to the members! Anyway, the Mr. Gold prank fooled me until it was explained to be fake. I tend not to be very good at getting jokes/ pranks when presented seriously! I think the "factory tour" thing was a bit too much to believe. LEGO wouldn't copy Roald Dahl that far, would they?
April 2, 201311 yr The site is up! http://minifigures.lego.com/en-us/Bios/Default.aspx -Sci Oh my gosh, the Grandpa's bio is glorious: “Everything was better back in my day!”Grandpa preferred everything the way it was when he was young, and he’ll tell you so every chance he gets. Mention that you liked the old brown LEGO® bricks better than the new ones, and he’ll say that when he was a kid, the only color you could get was red and you were happy to have it. Ever since the first play themes came around, he’s been grumpy about all of those new-fangled pieces like doors, windows, and anything else that isn’t shaped like a brick. And don’t even get him started on today’s Minifigures with their fancy arms and legs and facial expressions! Also I love how they snuck a "thundering typhoons" into the Sea Captain's bio! Props to Daniel Lipkowitz (assuming he's still the one responsible for the site bios) for doing such a great job!
