DrLegostar Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 They come in one box at a time at my store (I'm a receiver at B&N). Some sets come in cases of 2, 3, or 4, but CMFs always come in a small "case" with one box inside. That's how they come at Target. Quote
Good Cragger Fan Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I hope that the Revolutionary Soldier has either a Bicorner, a Tricorner or a Shako as an extra headgear piece, in addition to the powdered wig, or it will be very hard for some of us, like me, to make complete, fully dressed in uniform, armies out of this minifgure, as many of us would have to resort to Ebay, Bricklink or LEGO's Replacement Parts Service to get any of these hats if we don't have enough spares already in our collections. Quote
HawkLord Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 CCGs/TCGs are a different situation because many people end up buying a complete box or more of a particular card set, and the rarity still is not usually limited to 5,000 in total unless it's a signed card or something similar. A lot of collector's buy the 12 or 20 figures they want and not an entire case, plus a card set will often have 60 rares which means 60 packs minimum for a set, plus chases. Legos are a comPletely different realm, and the majority of collectors don't end up buying 30 figs let alone 60. That's actually my point. If you're a vendor and buying these wholesale, you can easily get a box and possibly pull the gold chase. Then part out the rest in whole sets. If you're getting more than one box, your chances go up for chases and complete sets - which are always easier to unload. It's not actually that different in concept just in quantity. Quote
dgherko Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I think the new Revolutionary war soldier fits in quite nicely with these figure to make quite an impressive colonial era theme. British, French, Spanish, American Colonies later USA. Glad I picked up a number of these sets over the years. There are plenty of hats to make quite a scene. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 The Colonial Soldier won't have an extra hat piece, otherwise they would have shown it in the picture. More than likely if they were to do one, it would have been molded with the wig underneath. The wig is great and I will use it in MOCs for sure, but I will probably end up giving them tri-corns anyway. The whole point is to bring something new to the table to make people want the figure/set, and in this case, a wig will do just that. If they included a tri-corn, many people would still like the figure, but not as much. The judge wig and the colonial wig are both big hits with the AFOL community, let alone the target audience will want to see some "accuracy" as well. Quote
Cara Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) (Ps anyone else reminded of mr monopoly from the gold figure?) This was exactly my thought too! With all these male wigs, now I need a 17th century female aristocrat, full court dress, with a wig piled high. Edited March 5, 2013 by Cara Quote
Flea Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 does anyone know what's the color of the 10th series? gold or? Quote
CM4Sci Posted March 5, 2013 Author Posted March 5, 2013 I can confirm gold, then a normal green for 11. -Sci Quote
8BrickMario Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Yes, Series 10's color will be gold. CMF4S, you beat me to answering Flea! Your answer popped up while mine was posting! Quote

DraikNova Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) He confused the CM in your name with CMF (Collectible MiniFigures) . Anyway, I'm glad we're getting another dog piece. The current one is kind of too large anyway and just plain ridiculous for the smaller breeds. Edited March 5, 2013 by DraikNova Quote
8BrickMario Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) Oops, sorry CM! Edited March 5, 2013 by 8BrickMario Quote

8BrickMario Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Seen lego minifigures series 10 advert in my local Argos apparently they get them in around may but they are usually wrongs Hmm... I asked a guy at the LEGO store, and he said they should be out by April 1. Because the series should be released on the second month of the March-April magazine, and it isn't in it, does that mean that there will be no magazine spot for them? Quote
JeagerEX Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 I think TRU will be release CMF S10 in April, just like that was happened to S8. Quote
SorinO Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Apologies if this is common knowledge, but has anyone else noticed that all of the minifigs in this series seem to be right-handed? At least all of them that are holding things (mugs, tools, weapons) are. Is that always the case? Are there no left-handed minifigs in the world of LEGO? Might be interesting to look through pictures of all of the older series (and sets, too) to see if I can find some left-handers. Quote
8BrickMario Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Maybe you should check! Perhaps it has to do with the common-ness of right-handers (such as me)! Quote
ManInATopHat Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 The series looks awesome! Thanks for the pics. That Golden Minifigure... I must have it! Quote
DraikNova Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 (edited) This article on Smashing Bricks confirms that there will only be 5000. Check the picture. Edited March 7, 2013 by DraikNova Quote
Yooha Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Are there no left-handed minifigs in the world of LEGO? Being a left-handed, afterwards it is strange for me that I never thought of that. But seeing the earlier waves, there were several left-handed minifigs. At least 2-3 in a series, which is more than the common ratio of ~10%. Quote
AmperZand Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 <insert tongue in cheek> SorinO & Yooha, I'll let you in on a little secret: by taking objects out of a minifig's right hand and putting it into its left, you can make it left-handed. Cool, eh? But don't tell anyone you've done it or the LEGO police will bust down your door in the middle of the night and take you away for 're-education'! </tongue in cheek> Quote
8BrickMario Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 The golden minifigure's name is Mr. Gold, making him sound even more like Mr. Monopoly! Quote
Yooha Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 <insert tongue in cheek> by taking objects out of a minifig's right hand and putting it into its left, you can make it left-handed. Cool, eh? </tongue in cheek> But a left-handed minifig can't use an object with their right hand, even if you put there! Seriously, I was just curious. And I don't really know, if during the designing of the CGI of the minfigs does one take into consideration with which hand the minifig should hold the objects. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Seriously, I was just curious. And I don't really know, if during the designing of the CGI of the minfigs does one take into consideration with which hand the minifig should hold the objects. I highly doubt that something like that would be taken into consideration when making the CGI image of this series. To me personally, it doesn't matter as I always put accessories that can be held in one hand in the right hand of the minifigure. I'm not sure if it is something to do with the fact that I am right-handed or if it is just totally random that I do that. As for the gold minifigure concept, I hope that it isn't repeated in a future series. If it is repeated, I wouldn't care unless TLG made it look amazing (unlike this one, which is very average).
