For $2000? :distressed:

Some people REALLY want Mr. Gold... by the time they come out here I bet 1/5 of them will be gone. :sadnew:

-Sci

No, they did offer met at $500. Not too bad of a deal. I'm guessing it was TBS.

I think the fact that he's double-bagged is interesting. I do wish LEGO chromed his staff just a little better. I would be fine if the inside of the stud was unchromed, as things are put in each end of the 'saber handle. But a visible ring of pearl gold is poorly done. How many documented Goldies is that, now? 5 or 6? (I can tell Just2good will come up with another listing! )

I strongly believe a lot of people will do "homemade" mr. Gold in order to sell them on e-bay.

I advice every single person to expect the seller to ship the unique Mr.Gold code that should be provided inside the bags.

Do NOT buy if seller avoids questions on topic, or if that's not specified in the ebay auction or bricklink offer.

How did they screw up the lightsaber hilt? Geez. Some people (in this case, the seller and the buyer) are really, really stupid. The print is pretty good, though. With all these listings, I'm getting depressed-I don't know if I have a decent chance to find a real one in stores! Europe is finding them, but We the people of the U.S. have to wait for the Minis even to arrive. Medusa and Mr. Gold are taking top 2 favs for the series now!

They've been found in a Target in Denver.

This looks crappy, but I have no doubts that quite-perfect copies (this looks PEARL gold, not CHROME gold) of Mr. Gold will surface anytime... you MUST pay attention.

I would kindly ask any eurobricker/bricksetter to share as soon as possible informations on the legit bag. How is this supposed code like? Is it a paper inside the bag?

I would really welcome any help on this topic, as I really hate fakers.

Anyone who pays more than 200$ for Goldie is just really desperate or baths in money...

On the other hand if i get it i hope i can sell it for 1000 :D

Well that's a decent custom, and it sold for $35 roughly. Not exactly a hoax. The seller isn't trying to pass it off as genuine either.

Found 'em at Target in Los Angeles today. DPCI # 204-00-1044

Didn't have time to work the "touch & feel" method, so I bought 25 and ended up with:

4 Mechanics

1 Librarian

2 Roman Soldiers

3 Tomahawk Warriors

3 Revolutionary Soldiers

4 Painters

5 Paintballers

1 Baseball Player

2 Sad Clowns

I searched for the online DCPI checker (which helped a lot!) but the site appears to have gone. I guess I can't see if they're available in my part of MN! D:

So your Target/s have them?

-Sci

Yep, they just have an embargo. I hate these street date restrictions.

I can't find the DCPI search. Can anyone check for Illinois? I REALLY want a Medusa. I've got an idea to use here...

By the way, I found this thread on Brickset. Warning: Can be depressing to those who wish to find Mr. Gold! A good technique for finding him is in it, though...

Some good news and some bad news about the minifigures Target is receiving:

Good News: I found the same display as seen in the video at a Target in Pacoima, CA during my lunch break.

Good News: All 120 minifigures were present and accounted for - they opened the box right in front of me, so it was completely untouched.

Bad News: Here's the breakdown of minifigures in this display:

Bee Girl 4

Medusa 3

Sea Captain 2

Painter 10

Librarian 3

Paintballer 10

Revolutionary Soldier 9

Grandpa 5

Sad Clown 11

Mechanic 10

Roman Soldier 12

Tomahawk 12

Baseball 7

Trendsetter 4

Warrior Woman 7

Skydiver 11

That's right. 2 Sea Captains. I manhandled each and every packet, double-checked the bump codes at the bottom of the packages to see that they matched up, and in case someone is thinking I probably mis-identified a few (and that is always a possibiliy,) I bought a full set of 16 plus a few extras and every single one, upon opening, was the minifigure I thought it was. Plus, the people who came over to see what I was doing and subsequently bought figures based upon my IDs all received the correct figures.

Now that I think of it, I should have taken a picture of the packages laid out on the floor with the post-its on each pile. :) Employees must have thought I was insane.

And, lastly...

Bad News: No sign of Mr. Gold

So your Target/s have them?

-Sci

I went to my local Target in Lancaster, CA and they still have Series 9.

Even I called Target in Palmdale they don't have it and still Series 9.

I can't wait for Toys R US to have them, but I think my local Target might have them this weekend or next week or at the beginning of May.
