EB's Super Hero Comic Cover Contest Voting Thread!

VOTING THREAD

Voting Rules:

1. Only members who joined before the official start of the contest (3 Nov. 2012) may vote. Members who joined after that date are not eligible to vote.
   
2. You may not vote for yourself.
   
3. You will have three (3) points to allocate. These can be divided any way you like between 1-3 entries. You may give all three points to one entry, 2 to one entry and 1 to another, or 1 to three different entries.
   
4. Votes must be in the proper format. This makes it easier for votes to be tallied. The format is the Entry Number followed by the Entrant's Username, a dash and then the Number of Points allocated.
   Here are a few examples:
   

   42 by Hinckley - 3 points

   86 by Rufus - 2 points
   57 by WhiteFang - 1 point

   
   

5. You may, of course, follow up with why you voted for those particular entries. People like to be told why they are awesome.
   
6. Once you have voted, please do not edit the post in which you did so. It may have already been tallied and it could be seen as trying to manipulate the vote.
   
7. An entry should win based on it's own merits. This isn't a popularity contest. Attempts to campaign for votes either on this site or elsewhere will not be tolerated. You may put a small picture of your entry in your signature as a way of promoting but that's as far as you should go.
   
8. After seven (7) days of voting, the votes will be tallied by staff and the results will be announced shortly after. Be patient. We're volunteers.
   
9. Above all, play fair. Cheaters will be tarred, feathered, ridiculed, and then disqualified. Staff reserves the right to disqualify entries if it discovers a form of cheating not covered in these rules.
   

There's one more thing. By voting, you'll be registered in a raffle to win one of these four Super Hero minifigs:

Ooh, So many fantastic entries. This is going to be difficult.

1 point- #9 Captain nemo (I think we know we have a winner here)

1 point- #24 Jackattack7 (I had that comic once and seeing it in Lego retreived many memories)

1 point- #16Hammerstein NWC (Great tecniques and a nice all round design :)

1 point-- #4 Oky: I love this one! It looks very classic, and the colors really pop. The building and photo are top notch too.

1 point-- #7 Kristel: Looks really cool and is clearly recognizable when compaired to the comic cover.

1 point-- #12 dr_spock: I like how simple the photo is, and it's classic looking approach.

7 by Kristel - it's clear and well adapted to the lego form, I like the choice of the cover too - 1 point

9.) by Captain Nemo - 1 point (As mentioned a clear winner also for my taste, very well built and a great idea, since photoshoping a huge Harley was not an option!)

19.) by KZB - 1 point (I really love how a few bricks on a solid background can represent a cover so clearly even though the posing of the figs can't be done exactly the same as drawing.)

23.) by The Penguin - 1 point (Same as the entry above, only two figs and such a nice presentation of the original! Also the black and white image was a nice touch.)

Although these were my favorites, there are many more quality entries I like. Very well done everybody and good luck to all!

I preferred ones in this contest that included scenery parts as well as the figures and action.

Ninja Nin - The angle you used looks great and shows the action conveyed in the original very well.

Captain Nemo - Excellent job on your brick built Harley. Looks like you spent a lot of time making that look very similar to the original.

dr_spock - The contrast of the blurred foreground to the sharp background was great in this one.

Great job to everyone, I look for ward to seeing the winner.
