Zepher Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 OoC: You can probably auto-play the end of the this battle. We'll target the Gulk and Sedi until they're dead, and then counterstrike Meta to death if he happens to still be up! "Looks like this is in the bag! Ellaira, join Harkenshire in taking down the Big Boy, I'll keep dancing with my two play mates." Battle Order Boomingham Ellaria Harkenshire
Waterbrick Down Posted December 22, 2012 Author Posted December 22, 2012 (edited) QM Note: I'll start auto-playing tomorrow, I'd like to see the battle finish up as well. Christmas vacation just started, I'm finished moving, and everything is settling down so I finally have the time to put into this rather than just 24hr updates. We'll get things moving faster shortly. Edited December 22, 2012 by Waterbrick Down

Zepher Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 (edited) "Phew, nice shooting you too. I'll go ahead and heal myself back up, don't worry yourself about it, Ellaira." "As for loot, does anyone have any requests? I was thinking that the grating stone goes to Harkenshire, as it will do him the most good, his weapon costing the most to upgrade. The scroll I was hoping to keep for myself... unless you want it, Ellaria. Last scroll the two of us had up for grabs I pocketed. Whichever of us doesn't get the scroll will get the potions and 60 gold." Boomingham turns to look at the Rocklings. "You chaps still alive?" Edited December 23, 2012 by Zepher
Waterbrick Down Posted December 23, 2012 Author Posted December 23, 2012 Boomingham turns to look at the Rocklings. "You chaps still alive?" The Rocklings have hobbled away, black ooze staining the cobblestones where they earlier lay. The crowd has started to disperse as most of the action is over.
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 William sits on a nearby rock and checks arrows and his shield silently for any permanent damage done to them. After a while, he finally speaks, "We nearly fell on the first battle. To rocks with trippy veins."
Sandy Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 "Phew, that was a tough one! Now we can finally go speak to that tailor-guy. If you don't mind horribly, Lawrence, I would like to have that scroll, please. It makes more sense to split them among several people, so we can use them more effectively."
Zepher Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 "It's all your's!" Boomingham tells her merrily as he tosses it to her. "Harkenshire, you get the stone- might as well put it to use immediately. I'll hold on to the potions and the gold. If everyone's ready, why not head into Swisshopper's?" Loot Distribution Boomingham - 60 Gold, 2 Potions Ellaria - Scroll of Inspiration Harkenshire - Grating Stone

Zepher Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 "I don't recall being that much of a terror. Perhaps you're thinking of my friends. I'm in much better company this time around," Boomingham says, squeezing off a secretive wink to Ellaria and Harkenshire. "I'm sure you were the most terrifying of the lot." "Don't mind my little friend. I've come not as a customer, but to rectify a problem. A priest of Mercutio picked up a robe here recently, only problem being it wasn't his. You swapped his and someone else's by accident." Boomingham holds up the robe. "Know who this might belong to?"
Waterbrick Down Posted December 24, 2012 Author Posted December 24, 2012 "Yes, I'm sure it was your company... well you won't be getting anymore price cuts from me for the time being. Now as to this cape, Spinnetus or something like that wasn't it? Yes, Graphetus, dropped that cloak off about a week ago with the priest. Wrong cloak you say? Now let me see, there was another cloak in here around that time as well, someone had turned it in to the drop box with a note about 2 weeks back. I didn't get a chance to see who picked it up though, he came in picked up the cloak and dropped the gold off on the counter while I was in the back. I do remember he made a horrid mess of my floors though."
Sandy Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 "What kind of a mess was that, if I may inquire?" Ellaria asked. "Was it dirt, or something... worse?"
Waterbrick Down Posted December 24, 2012 Author Posted December 24, 2012 "Dirt, mud, and a despicable odor. Took me half the day and a cheap hydromancer to get the boards clean."
Zepher Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Boomingham turns to his two companions. "I'm not particularly good with the species of Eubric, are either of you? Who might leave that sort of stench? A dwarf, perhaps? An Ogre? Not a Rockling, right? I've only seen them as fairly clean. Should we head to the sewers, do you suppose?" Boomingham's brow furrows. "Unless... you don't suppose it was an undead, do you? I've heard they've been around... though I've only run into few in other cities in lands far away, and there the desert had stripped them of nearly all their flesh and left only parched bone."
Waterbrick Down Posted December 24, 2012 Author Posted December 24, 2012 "I'm afraid we have a strict undead policy; no shoes, no shirt, no pulse, no service. The smell was something like a rubbish heap if you had to ask me, but I'm not in the habit of sticking my nose into a trash bucket very often."
Sandy Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 "Hmm, the muck seems to point to the sewers, so maybe it was one of the Wolfgang? If Spinnetus took Wolfgang gold by mistake, then he really had a reason to worry. The only other option I can think of is a Phlegman - you know those slimepeople that can divide themselves endlessly-, but they are quite a rare sight in this city. Mr. Swisshopper, is there a sewer entrance nearby? Or some sort of garbage yard?"
Waterbrick Down Posted December 25, 2012 Author Posted December 25, 2012 "There's always sewers entrances around. You could try checkin' in the hovels. People coming from there are always dirty and tracking mud and stench in from who knows where."
Sandy Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Ellaria looked at Boomingham. "I guess we have our next destination, then." She then turned back to Mr. Swisshopper. "May we talk to your assistant over there? Maybe he knows something more about the matter..."
Waterbrick Down Posted December 25, 2012 Author Posted December 25, 2012 "I'm afraid I've not much to add to Master Swisshopper's description. I heard the bell at the front door and when I looked all I saw was the outline of a short figure leaving muddy boot prints on the floor, cloak in hand."
Zepher Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 "Well then Swisshopper, it has been a pleasure once more but we must track down the owner of this cape, so unless my associates would like to purchase any of your fine goods, it looks as if we'll be on our merry way towards the hovels."
Sandy Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 "I'm afraid I currently don't have the funds to buy anything from you, but perhaps another time, Swisshopper." Ellaria then pauses, and looks the merchant in the eyes. She just had to get it out of her chest... "If I were you, I would consider how I treat my employees. Your business might be thriving right now, but the if the Rockling riots continue, you will find a shortage of customers very soon, methinks. If you would just talk to the Rocklings, I believe you could negotiate a deal that would be for the best of both parties. That is all I wanted to say about the matter. Thank you for your time." She then followed Boomingham out of the store.
Waterbrick Down Posted December 27, 2012 Author Posted December 27, 2012 QM Note: Alright let's get this show on the road. Volcanic, if you would like to purchase something please do so in retrospect in your next post. Swisshopper merely scowls at Ellaria. "They make enough to continue living and as long as they do not slow down the work they are left alone. You allow me to do my business miss and I'll allow you to accomplish yours. If this city does not want my goods then the markets will see to it and I will move onto something else. Tis the way of the entrepreneur. Now good day to you." The Party leaves the perturbed businessman and makes their way to the Hovels. Inside the newly constructed walls they are greeted by a pair of smiling face. "Here you are my good metasimian mam, you let me know if any of your chimps are ever hungry again." "So as I was saying Teresa, those scoundrels broke right into my home and made off with some of my most peculiar items." "You don't say, Patricia." "Please Mr. house elf, only one per person." "Indeed, they stole my set of plays by Wigglepike, my 1st edition of 50 Shades of Bley, and an old Tome of Affluence that came from my second cousin. I don't know what this city is coming to when you even have to worry about your library being robbed." "I wouldn't fret Patricia, something tells me that there is something even more foul that is besieging this city that neither you nor I are even aware of. Ah it looks like we have visitors. We're actually on a mission, looking to spread a little good will of our own. We're attempting to track down the owner of this cloak," Boomingham says, lifting the cloak. "Though I couldn't help hearing, ma'm, that you've lost some things of import as well." Boomingham glances at the gold jewelry dangling from her neck. "Don't happen to need any help finding, do you? Since we're in this neck of the woods anyway?"
Waterbrick Down Posted December 28, 2012 Author Posted December 28, 2012 "I am sorry to hear that, but you have your business that you must attend to and I'm sure it must be of a most honorable venture. I take it you are heroes from Heroica so I won't bother you with my petty misfortunes, it was only a few old tomes, no great treausures lost. Tell me what does the owner of your cloak look like? Perhaps either Teresa or myself could point you in the right direction, we see a good bit of folks during our time here."
