Artizan Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 (edited) Built in LDD, rendered in POV-ray. I am planning to buy the bricks to build the real thing in the future. Edited December 30, 2012 by Rufus Indexed Quote
Kristel Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Wow. This is an excellent Architecture-scale version of the real thing. Well done! Quote
PsyKater Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Nice! Sad that it would not fit in TLG's standards, otherwise it would be a great Cuusoo entry! Quote
Artizan Posted December 13, 2012 Author Posted December 13, 2012 Thank you both. I am rendering another perspective right now, once it is done I will post it, too. Quote
Lasse Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Very nice MOC The black tiles and the dark green plates and trees do that it fit perfect with the Architecture sets. Quote
The Player Nº1 Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Thank you both. I am rendering another perspective right now, once it is done I will post it, too. I want to see! Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Looks pretty good especially the way you captured the arches around the courtyard. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Excellent LDD'ing there 'Artizan', it will look AWESOME once you have the parts to build it. Brick On LDD On 'Artizan' ! Quote
AmperZand Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I'm not Muslim, but the slender minarets seen in Turkish mosques like those at the Selimiye are my favourite of all architectural features. You have really capture their look beautifully here and I look forwards to seeing the brick built version. Nice work! Quote
ewolin Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 WoW great Artizan, I would like to create this in real, can you share your LDD File? Quote
LegoCube Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I am new to architecture sets. What is that piece used for the large "dome" on top of the main building? That looks like a very interesting piece :) Quote
AmperZand Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) I am new to architecture sets. What is that piece used for the large "dome" on top of the main building? That looks like a very interesting piece :) I think it's one of these: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=30208#T=S&C=22&O={"color":22,"ii":1} I also feel that the OP owes us images of the MOC in LEGO. Otherwise it's just a digital image and should be marked as "LDD" in the thread's title. Edited September 21, 2015 by AmperZand Quote
rollermonkey Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I wasn't familiar with this mosque before. At first I thought you were trying to represent the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, but I'd forgotten that one has 6 minarets. Then I thought you'd misspelled Suleymaniye Mosque, but the 4 minarets surround the courtyard, not the dome there. I knew it wasn't Hagia Sophia, the shape is all wrong. That's what I get for having not made it out of Istanbul on my visits. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Delightful CAD work! I love the towers! Quote
