May 27, 20168 yr So, Civil War showed for the last time today (according to Fandango) at my local theaters. It seems a bit early for it to end its run here in the US. But, since it is slowly leaving stateside theaters, could we possibly see an earlier DVD/Blu-Ray/Digital release? Possibly before October this time, Marvel?
May 27, 20168 yr Can we talk about xmen here or is it blasphemy XD I believe we can, I've just been too scared to try
May 27, 20168 yr Yeah... I went to a 4:45 showing today, and we were like the only people in the theater. I get the feeling it's getting pushed out because of all the other blockbusters coming out this summer, and the fact that everyone's already seen it. About X-Men... I watched Jeremy Jahn's review, and he said it was pretty entertaining, but forgot to mention all the story elements pulled out of the other movies. I won't spoil anything that I've read, but Apocalypse himself is about the ONLY original thing in the whole movie.
May 27, 20168 yr I find it hard to believe Civil War is leaving theaters so soon. Where I live it seems Civil War and Zootopia still rule the cinema. It's BvS that has disappeared :)
May 27, 20168 yr Does anyone know if daredevil and jessica jones will get dvd releases. Since they are Netflix exclusives, I highly doubt it.
May 27, 20168 yr To my mutant brothers and sisters out there, how well does X-Men: Apocalypse stack up against First Class and Days of Future Past? Edited May 27, 20168 yr by Sir Gareth
May 28, 20168 yr To my mutant brothers and sisters out there, how well does X-Men: Apocalypse stack up against First Class and Days of Future Past? Very well, IMHO opinion. I won't spoil anything, but it is truly a great final part to the 'First Class' trilogy as well as nicely setting up future instalments with Cyke, Jean etc.
May 28, 20168 yr It was my favourite X-Men movie so far to be honest. Great action, good jokes and some great character interactions. Also hearing Fassbender speak polish was hillarious for some reason. Everyone in audience (including me started laughing). It wasn't that he was making mistakes (others however did) but it was kinda unnatural. Edited May 28, 20168 yr by Krulis
May 29, 20168 yr Ranking my MCU movies, i'd say: 1. Age of Ultron (It was such an amazing movie! comic book came to life) 2. Civil War (One thing... Giant-man and Spidey!) 3. Avengers (Great movie) 4. Winter Soldier 5. Guardians of the Galaxy 6. Ant-Man 7. Thor the Dark World 8. Iron Man 3 9. The First Avenger 10. Thor 11. Iron Man 12. Iron Man 2
May 29, 20168 yr One thing i still don't get is, how does Clint make a staff from his bow? I mean when you look at the bow it has no keeps or joints whatsoever, it's just an entirely new weapon when he uses it, even the hilt just changed entirely!

He fights on the same team as a guy with a suit capable of growing and shrinking and fights against a guy who's suit can control Vibranium, it's probably best not to think about the logic here Edited May 29, 20168 yr by Quicksilver838
May 30, 20168 yr Since they are Netflix exclusives, I highly doubt it. House of Cards had a DVD release. I wouldn't be surprised if these did as well. That said, I honestly don't know.
May 30, 20168 yr He fights on the same team as a guy with a suit capable of growing and shrinking and fights against a guy who's suit can control Vibranium, it's probably best not to think about the logic here Well i guess that's true , Let's call it MCU logic!
May 30, 20168 yr House of Cards had a DVD release. I wouldn't be surprised if these did as well. That said, I honestly don't know. As did Orange is the New Black. If Daredevil and Jessica Jones do prove overtly possible, I wouldn't count the idea out, there is a lot of money to be made there with collector's editions and such. The show's obviously have many, many fans.
May 31, 20168 yr I just watched Age of Apocalypse, it was overall a good movie, it was cool to see Wolverine, and all the X-Men in attire similar to their comic book versions. One thing I thought was dumb was Quicksilver's main scene. The one in Days of Future Past was one of the best things of that movie, and they really milked it in this one. It was ridiculously long and it went on forever
May 31, 20168 yr Saw Apocalypse last night. Ehhhh idk. Wasn't that good.... definitely not better than civil war in the slightest. Apocalypse himself looked really bad and wasn't a great villain.
May 31, 20168 yr Overall, I really enjoyed it. My biggest gripe was Apocalypse's voice. Generally, it didn't fit his character, minus a few glimpses throughout. It definitely wasn't menacing enough. The face lines given to Angel made sense(kind of) if you know of his purple /blue incarnation. his metal wings were amazing though. Other bits: Holycarp, Jean Grey. That was awesome. The ending with them in actual outfits, not the 'crotch rocket biker gang' look, was great, especially Scott. The way I know him best, 90's cartoon. Really didn't like that they're not even acknowledging that Kurt is Mystiques kid...I guess they're going with a "time travel screwd up the timeline" continuity crap & just aren't going that route. Which is stupid. Oh boy, that secret scene! Mr. Sinister. Edited May 31, 20168 yr by Vindicare
May 31, 20168 yr Quicksilver838 has now made a X-men movie thread. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=133711&hl=
June 10, 20168 yr It's been confirmed that Marvel will attend SDCC. Hopefully we get news on GOTG 2 and Spiderman: Homecoming.
June 11, 20168 yr Less than a week away from Agents of Shield Season 3 arriving on Netflix; this will finally be my chance to catch up completely with the series; I will then DVR season 4 and watching it in near real time. I am curious to see how the show ties into Civil War in its season finale episodes.
June 11, 20168 yr Just got back from Civil War. I'm a very realistic person when it comes to expectations but, at least on the first viewing it fell flat compared to Winter Soldier which I re-watched just hours before going. The first act was good, Winter Soldier-esque awesome Captain America stuff. The second act...felt like they tried to cram an entire Avengers movie into less than an hour of screentime. And then the third act wrapped up a plot which...I guess was there the whole time and was not elaborated on at all.
June 18, 20168 yr I finally saw Deadpool. I was expecting very little from this as i've never read the comics, and I'm a big fan of the first Kickass which this reminded me of. However I was pleasantly surprised and found myself really enjoying Deadpool far more then I expected. It's a great movie! However my one issue with the film was perhaps the X-Men. They're inclusion sort of made this feel like a pseudo X-Men movie. Look I like the idea of the Marvel Universe being all connected but I think i've found I prefer it when the film is more stand alone with subtle references or small cameos from the other films. I feel like it may have worked better if they had never outright mentioned the girl's and big silver Russian dude's organization until the end. Sort've how they did Agent Coulson and Nick Fury observing and trying to recruit them for the pre Avengers films. That way comic fans knew what was happening but regular film goers like me didn't have to think about another franchise while trying to enjoy this one, especially as this film is so different then any other MCU film. Nothing would change but there would be an added suspense of who these do gooders are who keep interfering and a nice little end twist. Otherwise loved it! Edited June 18, 20168 yr by Forresto
