October 23, 201212 yr Absolutely epic! I love how they are showing some Tony Stark problems without having to go so far as to say he is an alcoholic and all that like in the comics! That movie is going to be great!

October 23, 201212 yr I for one LOVE his new suit and the fact Mandarin is in it, I can't even... I do love the Mark VIII but I think Rhodey has a much cooler new suit. I can't wait to see Warmachine in the Iron-Patriot Suit. The only downside I can find to it is the Arc Reactor, why did it have to be a square? It would have been much cooler if the whole reactor was the star!
October 24, 201212 yr I love Iron Patriot, who is behind that armour? Rhodey. It is a revamped War Machine suit
October 24, 201212 yr Im not sure if I like the predominant gold on the suit, but still super jacked up about the trailer. I still hope they dont go all the way with extrims, cause I think it kind of defeats the purpose of a suit of armor.

I still hope they dont go all the way with extrims, cause I think it kind of defeats the purpose of a suit of armor. I'm ok with the new suit but I like the previous ones a lot more. I might be just because I'm used to seeing Iron-man with more red than gold. Two suits I really do want to see are the Hulk-Buster and the new MARVEL Now suit. The Marvel Now one is basically if you replaced the red with black, kept the gold and instead of blue lights they were white/yellow. Hopefully both these suits will make it into the cinematic universe sometime in the future!
October 24, 201212 yr Ya I would rather have the star reactor too, but I wonder if there is a licensing problem that they can't make it exactly like Iron Patriot since Sony owns Spider-Man and his characters and Norman Osborn would definitely fall in that category.
October 24, 201212 yr My thoughts: Looks pretty good so far. I like how they're delving a bit more into the serious side of Tony Stark while still keeping the epic action scenes. I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of the new suits either, neither Tony's nor Rhodey's. They're not terrible, I just prefer the classic versions. And as Sam pointed out, what's up with Rhodey's arc reactor? Why did it have to be a small square instead of a star shaped one? It looks so weak (even weaker than the star one would have been), and the star points look like they were lazily added on as an afterthought. They could have at least kept it a circle, that would have still looked good. But I digress. So what do you think are the Mandarin's powers gonna be? Magic? Technology? Or just manipulating people? Magic is obviously unlikely, but I could imagine his rings to be highly advanced alien technology like they are sometimes portrayed to be. I guess people have a point in saying that it wouldn't make sense for him to be using a gun and a fleet of highly armed helicopters if he had superpowers, but maybe that's before he gets the rings. Note that he doesn't wear them when he cocks his gun. I think it would be pretty lame if they made him an ordinary terrorist leader with his rings only being symbolic of his power or something. Sure, it would be more realistic, but every sense of realism has been thrown out the window with The Avengers. Heck, Stark himself says that everything is different now since those events. I gotta admit that the Mandarin always did seem overpowered compared to a guy in a suit of armor, but making him a normal terrorist would make him too underpowered in my opinion, especially now that Tony has Extremis. Also: What do you think Firepower's role in the movie will be? He could just have a cameo, but I read that there was a story arc in the comics where he was hired by Mandarin to destroy Iron Man, so I think they may do something similar in the movie. Perhaps it's him who is attacking Pepper and Tony inside the Iron Man suit?
October 26, 201212 yr Interesting X-Men news today. Matthew Vaughn has dropped out suddenly, and may be replaced by the original, Bryan Singer! http://www.hitfix.com/news/director-matthew-vaughn-exits-x-men-days-of-future-past And there's another article about Wolverine, but I'm not so excited about that one to summarize it. http://www.hitfix.com/motion-captured/james-mangold-makes-some-surprising-claims-about-the-wolverine-timeline
October 26, 201212 yr And there's another article about Wolverine, but I'm not so excited about that one to summarize it. http://www.hitfix.co...verine-timeline So it would seem that The Wolverine follows on from X-Men: Last Stand, rather than Origins: Wolverine. That could be interesting.

With the 'Days of Future Past' film I can see that some of the consequences of time travel could erase certain events from all the previous films. Maybe erase Cyclops death, Nightcrawlers exit from the team, maybe even the whole production of the cure. Also with Wolverine and reading that there may also be cameos from Jean Grey, I can see Wolverine reforming the X-men. Maybe darting the Jean Grey School for higher learning. Fox have already stated that they would love to integrate the X-men universe into the Cinematic Universe and are righting scripts for X-men 4,5,6.
October 26, 201212 yr I could go for a new storyline for X-Men. I Love the X-Men and just like in comic form, different stories can develop depending on the writing team, so why can't the same happen with movies?? Not everything has to be set in stone and it doesn't technically have to be a reboot either. It just has a different storyline to satisfy our wants. I can't wait to see what happens.
November 10, 201212 yr Interesting interview with Mark Millar, the new architect of the Fox/Marvel cinematic universe. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=42105
November 18, 201212 yr I am a little confused about Iron Man III. Didn't Tony decide in the first movie that Golden Armor was "gaudy" or something? Aside from that I eagerly look forward to the next batch of Marvel films, though I really hope we get a Wasp.
November 18, 201212 yr Evidently he changed his mind; either that or Shane Black wants to try something new.

Evidently he changed his mind; either that or Shane Black wants to try something new. I think the latter. The reason he had a circular arc reactor in Avengers is because Joss Whedon didn't like the trianglular one.
November 27, 201212 yr Just announced that Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen will star in X-men Days of future past! With this news and that The Wolverine is after X3 makes me really think that X4 is coming!!!
November 28, 201212 yr The hole X-Men franchise is just so confusing right now that I don't really know if that's good news or bad news? All the story lines are so mixed and matched Still hoping for them to figure it out and give us some good X-Men!

All the story lines are so mixed and matched Still hoping for them to figure it out and give us some good X-Men! I try to pretend the first 3 x-men movies never happened... I liked 1st class though and have high hopes for the upcoming wolverine movie as well as days of future past. I also thought that Wolverine Origins was okay despite what most everyone else thought.

All the story lines are so mixed and matched Still hoping for them to figure it out and give us some good X-Men! X-Men First Class was arguably the best of the movies so far. Personally I think it's a lot better than X-2. This is good news. The next movie should be a trip. X-Men have had a time travel component going on for over 30 years. It's weird, but very very rereadable. The story will be different, since it won't be about Cyclops and Phoenix's child. But they will be able to write a story which bridges the old and young. I honestly think it will be the absolute last of McKellon and Stewart in the movie, but it'll be a lot better than X-3, which is embarrassing.
