The_Chosen_1 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Hm....I'm not thrilled by this, actually. Morse and Hunter are some of the best characters on Agents of Shield, so I'd hate to lose them on the show. I'm not even sure an AOS spinoff is even necessary. I'm far more interested in the concept of a Damage Control show. Quote

I'm far more interested in the concept of a Damage Control show. Yeah, i agree about the pair being some of the best characters on the show but that is why I think a spin off is a good idea. I want to see more of them and in this case they can shine even brighter. Also, it allows for new characters to grow even more on Agents of SHIELD. Personally I really like the idea that a team of Inhumans is forming. More Inhumans means less room for some of the others and I would hate to see a really great character edged out. When they originally announced they wanted to do a spin-off with Bobbi and Lance in may i thought it was a bad idea, but now that their giving it another season and developing characters like Lincoln and Joey I'm okay with it. Of course only time will tell if MAOS can develop the new characters well enough to keep both shows going but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt... For the moment. Quote
Marvelfan120 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 So, apparently not only is ABC developing a second Marvel comedy, http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/01/11/second-marvel-comedy-in-development-at-abc But Paul Lee says Damage Control is 'going to be coming out this season'... I assume he means 2016 considering it hasn't even gone to pilot yet... Perhaps the second comedy would serve as a midseason bridge for Damage Control like Agent Carter has for MAOS... It would seem like a bit much to have 4 marvel shows running on the network during their regular broadcast schedule. much better to have three with 2 airing during the hiatus. Quote

It's...interesting to say the least. I hope it actually turns out good and doesn't solely rely on MCU references and cameos. There's not a lot of comedies on tv right now that peak my interest, hopefully this does! Quote

There's not a lot of comedies on tv right now that peak my interest, hopefully this does! Yeah, i worry about them adding too much too fast, I mean 2 more shows in 2016 isnt that bad but when you consider they have 2 more shows in development 6 marvel shows on ABC by 2017 or even 18 seems to be a little bit much. One thought I had with all these marvel shows in various stages of production was that maybe the idea of a marvel network that got attention back in may wouldn't be such a bad idea... Realistically though, with the streaming being the trend, if Disney/ABC were going to do something like that I'd think they'd be better off going with something like FOX's FX network and feature a lot of Marvel stuff mixed with a variety of other programming, i mean even with all the shows in development, the animated shows plus a marvel news show to plug movies and comics, you'd still only have 10 programs... Even with the movies airing regularly that's not enough programming to fill a network schedule. Quote
Marvelfan120 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Ryan Coogler has signed on to direct black panther, http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/herocomplex/la-et-hc-ryan-coogler-confirmed-marvel-black-panther-movie-20160111-story.html Dang. Just when you think marvel can't grab any more talented young directors... Fruitdale Station was great (I grew up near and have been to many of the places it took place including the fabled BART [san Francisco's version of a subway] station btw) and Creed is drawing rave reviews... I didn't think it was possible for me to be more excited about the Black Panther movie but I was wrong! Quote
LEGODalekbuster523 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I hope the Marvel's Most Wanted pilot will air on Channel 4 and if it goes to a series it will remain there (although annoyingly given the poor signal strength it'll more likely be E4). I'd hate to not be able to watch a direct Agents of SHIELD spinoff on Freeview. Quote
Marvelfan120 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Marvel "very close" to developing a Punisher Series for Netflix... http://io9.gizmodo.com/hallelujah-marvels-adding-the-punisher-to-its-roster-o-1753369108 ...YES PLEASE!!! Now, how about a second season of Jessica Jones... Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 So what does everyone else think about the Legion FX show? I honestly don't know what to make of it, I wasn't aware that there is enough material to even make a show about him! Quote

I honestly don't know what to make of it, I wasn't aware that there is enough material to even make a show about him! They're going to have to create a lot of new material... It's going to be interesting to see how they do. I read somewhere that fox is still in negotiation to produce other x-men shows so I wonder if Marvel would only give them rights to certain characters, that's the only reason i could see them choosing Legion... there are so many better/teams. Also I read that they are going to make Legion alternate universe. In this universe the government knows about mutants but the public does not. That makes sense because if mutants were common knowledge mistaking a Mutant for a schizophrenic would be a lot harder to explain. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Scarlet Witch is finally being shown in the Civil War merchandise: It's about time, i don't know why agent 13 has been in all the team cap pictures when clearly scarlet witch is a bigger threat. She makes Cap's team look so much better. Quote
Khscarymovie4 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I've been wanting Scarlet Witch to be a mutual. It just seems that Cap's team is over powering Iron Man's team when it should feel even. I guess Spiderman will join Iron Mans team so maybe it will feel more even then. Quote

Zilcho Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Really? I feel the opposite. Vision could solo all of them. Yeah I agree. Add Iron Man and War Machine and it's a sure win. Quote
Khscarymovie4 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 After thinking about it, I would say that the teams are even. Iron Man's team does have Vision so I guess that's a big win, but Captain America's team has Scarlet Witch. Those are the main heroes that the teams should be proud to have. Quote
MrHerofan Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 So have any of you guys ever gotten a little sick of all the superhero movies? I used to be excited for AOU but when I rematched the first Avengers and GOTG I couldn't help but fall asleep. Then I saw Ant-Man and I really enjoyed the film, so I guess I'm curious how many of you are still invested in the whole super hero thing. Quote

Then I saw Ant-Man and I really enjoyed the film, so I guess I'm curious how many of you are still invested in the whole super hero thing. About the time Thor and CA:TFA came out I got all caught up in the excitement. I saw several of the follow-up movies on opening weekend, and some more than once in theaters. I didn't really slow until after seeing AoU. While not terrible, it felt like a big let down and kind of cooled me off from SH anything for awhile, I kinda stopped caring. I didn't even see Ant-Man at all until about a month ago, and then it was because there wasn't anything better to watch. I liked it well enough though, so I guess my post-AoU "dark age" gave me a second wind. I am not nearly the enthusiast I was before, but I am looking forward to CW in particular, and am cautiously optimistic about the other movies coming soon (incl. DC's offerings). I figure I will probably see most of it eventually. Edited January 19, 2016 by rodiziorobs Quote

Ultron Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 (edited) They're never going to kill Captain America. I wouldn't be so sure...it happens in the comics right after civil war. Kind of a big part and it could easily be adapted for the movies. He doesn't stay dead anyway, surprise, surprise. Not to mention Crossbones has a big hand in his death and he's in the movie. I'd definitely say we're moving toward it Edited January 20, 2016 by Ultron Quote

In the comics Sam Wilson/falcon become the new cap and I could totally see that happening Edited January 20, 2016 by Marvelfan120 Quote
