Hopefully this trailer will have a lot of new footage. I'm sure it will, but it irritates me when a "new" trailer is the same clips in a different order.

Still I can't wait to see it. Looking at all those suits on the poster is making me hope we see them in the trailer.

The universe of the various X-Men movies is nearly nonexistent, I've come to realize. The trilogy of course holds together. Origins: Wolverine could possibly be in the same continuity as the trilogy, but then the Sabertooth-Wolverine dynamic in X-Men (the first movie) doesn't make too much sense. The new Wolverine movie is supposed to be set not long after Last Stand, so that one is supposed to be in the continuity of the trilogy.

First Class, though, completely contradicts Professor X's dialogue about his past in X-Men, so that's basically a separate X-Men universe. I guess it'd be best to assume that Days of Future Past will be set in the First Class universe, and shouldn't really bump into the trilogy one at all.

Just a little rundown I thought I'd share.

All we have herd so far is that DOFP will resolve the contradictions between FC and the others.

Also the Sabretooth - Wolverine relationship, still holds up, if you imaging that in X-1 both of them had lost their memories.

Double post: This movie is going to be EPIC!!! The Extremis armor looks incredible and the Iron Legion is involved :excited: Literally can't wait for May!

It is disappointing that it appears Iron Patriot will have a significant role and yet we don't get a minifig version.

That trailer is incredible. Now not only do I want an Iron Patriot minifigure but the rest of the Iron Legion. The Hulkbuster looks incredible and I also noticed the Deep space suit. My god I hope LEGO has a secret set lined up for the fall with all those suits.

I know right! After seeing the suits that will be involved, it's a shame we only get the ones we do! I also feel the the Heartbreaker suit we get is a pretty bad representation of what the suit looked like in the trailer. We really need an exclusive set or something to show up!

All those suits at the end of the new Iron Man 3 trailer... :wub_drool: :wub_drool: :wub_drool:

I never thought I would see so many suits all at once. The bulky one with claws for hands is interesting, as is the bulky one that appears right at the end of the trailer. I predict that the latter of those two suits will be the Hulkbuster suit, and if so this could end up being used in The Avengers 3, if the rumours about it are true. The Iron Patriot also looks awesome and it appears that it will have a large role in this film. It's a shame that LEGO aren't going to make these suits (or so it would seem). I'm going to hope that we get an exclusive set with Iron Patriot in it, as well as the Hulkbuster suit (if it is the one that appears at the end of the trailer).

I can't wait!

*EDIT* The Heartbreaker suit also looks very cool; it's a shame that the LEGO version doesn't look more like it (though the LEGO version is still very good).

That was epic. All those suits...... There were so many things that could be made into sets. Now I am pretty disappointed we didn't get Iron Patriot. I think a large set is coming.... There were many interesting things. Tony shooting guns, that room with all the people in machines, and also, why the heck is Pepper standing in the mansion ( I'm guessing that's what it is) ruins in her bra?

Has there been any confirmation about a release date (or anything, really) for the Dr. Strange movie that is rumoured to come after The Avengers 2? I really hope that it happens, as Dr. Strange is a pretty cool character IMO and he is one that I would love to see in a movie (and as a LEGO minifigure).

I don't think there has been any information yet. However I expect it will be announced at Comic Con. It's quite a while until phase three, and Marvel will most likely try to build hype towards phase two stuff.

I'd expect for Comic Con to do more discussion on GotG, Thor 2, and Cap 2. They might confirm some of the phase 3 material, but I highly doubt they will give it much time considering everything else on their plates until then.

Well, we have confirmation for Ant-Man, and that seems to be in phase 3. But it doesn't matter much to me that we haven't got any information about a possible Dr. Strange movie yet. After all, there's plenty to look forward to until phase 3 comes around (Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers 2 from phase 2 alone, and then there is Ant-Man to start phase 3).

I always thought that Ant-man was originally meant to be a phase 2 film, but got delayed into phase 3.

I was hoping it would be phase 2 so he could be in the Avengers 2, but maybe they will introduce him in the second Avengers and that will cause more excitement for his movie? Either way I trust Marvel since they have more than proven themselves with phase 1

Does anyone think that there is relevance in the possible MARVEL/Sony crossover, with the Spider-Man universe being set in the MCU? Marc Webb's "think bigger" comment about the Spidey Universe has really started some speculation. Marvel has been attempting Spidey eastereggs ever since they got the merchandising rights to him, including the ESU shirt and the OsCorp tower that was supposed to be in the Avengers cityscape. Let's not forget the Target commercial featuring both Iron Man and Spidey together, either. I'm hoping this is true, even if it simply results in a ten second cameo. Sure, Spidey isn't an Avenger, but he would be great in the storylines they're laying out. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Since when did MARVEL get the rights back for Spiderman?

Here's what I said a few weeks back about the possible connections between the two franchises.

There's a lot of connections between The Avengers and The Amazing Spider-man. I read an article talking about the timelines of the movies. They said that although Avengers was released in 2012 it takes place in 2011. This is because its one year after where Ironman 2 and Thor are both set. Spidey is based in 2012 one year after the Avengers. Marvel said that the Oscorp building was meant to be in the Avengers but due to time they couldn't do it. So this article was talking about the refferences in Spidey to the Avengers.

The most interesting one to me at least was that New York, would be pretty beat up after the Avengers. Which makes sense for there to be 50 billion cranes everywhere.

It could just be a load but its a nice thought as to why there's so much construction equipment in ASM.

Personally I think its very likely, especially when the Avengers made 2 billion dollars. The Sequel will most likely make even more so I can easily see Sony wanting a slice. Even more so when you look at the money problems at Sony.

Sure Spidey most likely appear as an Avenger, but he can easily mix with other heroes at Marvel. Daredevil, Punisher and the Heroes for Hire.

The lady who produces the X-men films at Fox also stated interest in crossing the X-men with the MCU. While this one is less likely than Spidey, it would be IMO easier to join a Universe than start one.

The rumour is that Mark Millar is also interested, but I think they want to first fix the X-universe in DOFP.

That just got me thinking of how sweet an Avengers vs X-Men film would be! :wub_drool:

I don't really care for the X-Men series, but it could still be cool. If anything, I'd like them (as well as Spidey and the Fantastic Four) to join the Avengers in a Secret Wars movie. That would be amazing.
