No, he was experimented on by the doctor who was injured in the blast... He confronted her in the hospital. What i want to know is why SHIELD didn't find out about the doctor from the guy and go after her. Quote
Marvelfan120 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 After watching the second episode of SHIELD I did a serch for news on future Marvel TV shows and found... http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/marvel-readying-agent-carter-series-631871 An Agent Carter series??? If they could get Hayley Atwell it could be Awesome. Quote
Spider-Man Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Marvel.com is promoting the new Jarvis app by saying download it to get a sneak peek at Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. That to me says that Jarvis and Tony Stark are absolutely going to be the ones behind Ultron in the MCU. There's not a doubt in my mind anymore, and I think that it is a good twist on the original Ultron story! Quote

Tanma Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 So anyone catch SHIELD last night? As an A: EMH fan I was excited to see Franklin Hall, especially since it looks like he could come back as Gravitron. Personally I feel like it was a step up above the first two episodes, and not only because it used a power not from the movies. I look forward to seeing Hall again, if he should reappear. Quote
kermit Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I didnt catch that episode I fell asleep , but you are right the first two episodes were terrible. I think they are trying to make it look too much like a movie probably due to the high expectations they have to live up to. The only good thing about the second episode was the guest appearance of nick fury himself. I was more expecting this series to be of a much darker world based in a city kind of like the x-files with the team hunting down super heroes in a race with the government who also want these superheroes for military purposes. The government and shield would of been at odds with eachother with the govt trying to cover up their actions. Quote
Tanma Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 But...SHIELD is government. I mean, I get the sense that they are more UN than USA, but that's still government. I suppose if you mean a rivalry between the UN and US military I could see it, if we go by the Consultant Short SHIELD does not have the best tensions with at least General Ross. Likewise in Avengers SHIELD abandoned the Avengers Initiative to make weapons using the Tesseract, the only reason they ended up forming the Team anyway was because the Phase 2 equipment wasn't ready. Regardless, the last episode was an improvement at least in my opinion, and at least one person calls out SHIELD on their tendencies to build weapons. Quote
Savage Oppress Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 With Agents of Shield, every week we get a 1 hour episode, that means 1 half of a regular Marvel movie every week. Quote
Tanma Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Nice way to think about it, I like it. By the way, has anyone heard anything more on the rumored Agent Carter show? The one based off the Iron Man 3 short? Quote

The one based off the Iron Man 3 short? I read an article recently where Hayley Atwell said she would be interested in doing the show but that's all... I will try and find the link. Found it http://splashpage.mt...rter-tv-series/ In the article she talks about the lack of female heroes in the MCU... an agent carter show would help solve that problem Edited October 9, 2013 by Marvelfan120 Quote
Tanma Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Agreed, the movies are not doing that good on diversity, especially given that it appears that Scarlet Witch's ethnicity has been changed. But a show on Peggy would help. I think a good idea they could do with the MCU is have heroes appear in different countries. Something that weirds me out about Marvel is there are so few Asian heroes, when they make up the largest portion of the human population. And in general there should be large amounts of heroes and villains from other nations. But in the MCU, which has less than ten American superheroes, those numbers could work. So even if Russia has the Winter Guard as their only team, that woud seem about equal with the Avengers. Any thoughts on this, does it make sense? Quote

So even if Russia has the Winter Guard as their only team, that woud seem about equal with the Avengers. Any thoughts on this, does it make sense? You have to remember that we've only seen Ten heroes from the MCU, but that doesn't mean others don't exist. One of the reasons I felt they made Agents of Shield was to show this. Even though Marvel has done a great job of promoting less well know heroes, some heroes are too big a gamble to just give films too. Over the rest of this season and the next on Shield I expect to see Daredevil, Punisher, Luke Cage, Iron fist, Captain Britain, Union Jack, She Hulk and many more. One of the reasons I feel the MCU hasn't tried to appeal to the Asian market more is mainly because of countries like China. China only lets about 10 movies a year into its cinemas from other countries. Marvel made a big push with Iron man 3 in China, but unfortunately it's not a huge market for Marvel. Marvel make a lot more money making western based Superhero teams and marketing them here than they will making Asian Superhero teams. Plus I don't think what would work well in Asia will work well here in the west. There are still a lot of Asian superheroes, but I think Marvel will introduce them in Shield if they decide to show them in the MCU. Quote
Tanma Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Yeah I get that, but it still doesn't make sense. I am not arguing about race here, I am arguing that if Asia makes up most of the world's population, it would make sense for most of the world's superhumans to be Asian. Quote
Mr Man Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Union Jack Wasn't he in CA:FA? One of the Howling Commandos? Quote
Tanma Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Wasn't he in CA:FA? One of the Howling Commandos? Was he? I may have to rematch it then, I didn't really pay attention to the Commandos, though I assume he is not in costume. But then again, the only reason I spotted the original Human Torch is because I had heard he was there. Quote
Sam892 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Wasn't he in CA:FA? One of the Howling Commandos? James Montgomery Falsworth is in Captain America, but he never uses the Union Jack identity. Still he could appear as 3 different people have taken up the Union Jack identity. Quote
CardinalBricks Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 What do you think Marvel phase 3 has in store for us? There's Ant-Man coming out, obviously, and there's even been some talk about a Doctor Strange and a Captain Marvel movie. Personally, I can't wait for phase 3!! Quote

The Legonater Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I'm pretty sure Doctor Strange is confirmed. I hope so, that'd be a killer movie. Quote
