Mr Man Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 That's not true in the 90's there was Spider-man, X-men, Avengers, Hulk, Silver surfer, Fantastic Four and Ironman TV shows running at the same time.Admittedly only Spider-man and X-men lasted more than 2 seasons , but they were all set in the same world and cross over frequently. Let's be honest the intros are terrible, except Iron man and the X-men. Really! I only ever remember seeing Spider-Man and X-Men, then into the 2000's more Spider-Man and X-Men, and I think Fantastic Four. Chanel 5 used to show Spider-Man on an almost continues loop on Saturdays. Quote
Ultron Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 There's also one on Groot! No "I am Groot" though :( Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 God I feel old listening to them theme tunes. "Captain America throws his mighty shield" and "Fantastic Four" ones in particular stick in my mind after all these years. If I'm not mistaken, your missing the X-Men and Spider-Man ones from the group. In a vain effort to stay on topic, Rocket sounds better than I imagined. Quote
Ultron Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Here are some more! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Rf2a8zBrM4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q104YhObyV0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3H9zLGkGlY And here's the first poster: This Movie is gonna rock! Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I'm loving the tagline on that first poster. As for those little character introduction videos, I found all of them disappointing other than Rocket and Gamora; the rest show virtually nothing new. Hearing Rocket's voice for the first time was good; he sounds great. As for Gamora's video, I find it interesting that it showed the making of a fight scene between Gamora and Nebula. I can't wait to see how that fight ends up playing out in the film. I can't wait for another trailer for this now. Quote

He really seemed to be having a good time with it all. There is another interview with Vin Diesel where he talks about what a different experience it was to be acting and particularly body acting with almost no dialog in a situation where pretty much none of you appears on screen. It gave me some new appreciation for guys like Andy Serkis and Ray Park. Quote
Vindicare Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I'm not overly fond of the more human looking, 'toned' Groot. He just looks too human to tree bark. The movie looks great though. This is a good year for the MCU. Quote
Faefrost Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 OMG! I am laughing my butt off. If you happen to pick up the Thor 2 DVD, make sure you watch the "Marvel One Shot" that comes on it,"All Hail the King". It is a rip. And watch it all the way through. There are a few scenes buried in the credits. Not to spoil anything, but it nicely deals with a few hanging threads from IM 2 and IM3. Plus more Tevor is never a bad thing. Quote
The Brigante Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I thought All Hail The King was blu-ray exclusive? Missed The Dark World in cinemas so I look forward to picking it up tonight and watching it!! Quote

I thought that too, but it would be nice if they are changing the system. In other news, anyone wonder why Ian in AoS shot Skye? He said he was ordered to do it, and he didn't bother trying to damage the hyperbolic chamber. So I wonder if he wants her to get the same treatment as Coulson. Like maybe his second bullet injected her with probes to read for the chemicals, so Centipede can harness the technology. They did say they wanted to be able to resurrect their agents, maybe this is a plan to find out how to do it. And maybe that is why Mike was ordered not to fight SHIELD. Good point, her abilities probably will factor in. Maybe her powers will function like many golden age Marvel heroes, where exposure to odd things will give her related powers. Like if she gets exposed to the "Tahiti technology," she will gain a healing factor. Quote

Leo604 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 WOAH! Spoiler much!! :( Expect spoilers in a thread of this magnitude, even though they should probably be put in tags. Quote
Tanma Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 If you meant me, I thought the hiatus would have let everyone catch up. Apologies. Quote
SandMirror38 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 It's just the show isn't back on yet in Australia -to my knowledge- so I have kind of 1% knowledge Quote
Tanma Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Ah, I am sorry about that. I'll spoil it now. Quote
Mr Man Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Ah, I am sorry about that. I'll spoil it now. But you already spoilt it . Quote
Tanma Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 But you already spoilt it . Yeah, but this way there is less chance other people will see it. Well, except for the quoting. I'm trying okay. So I heard while surfing the Internet that aside from the upcoming Netflixs shows there may be some televised Marvel shows in the works? I know bout Agent Carter being a thing, has anyone lse heard anything? Quote

Tanma Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) I said aside from the Netflix shows. Edit: so apparently there is a new clip from the next SHIELD online. Edited February 27, 2014 by Tanma Quote
Ultron Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Patrick Wilson is being eyed for a part in ant man. Quote

So I heard while surfing the Internet that aside from the upcoming Netflixs shows there may be some televised Marvel shows in the works? I know bout Agent Carter being a thing, has anyone lse heard anything? There will be four 10-12 episode series based around some of Marvel's street level characters. The project is being made for Netflix. Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and (oddly enough) Jessica Jones. Which will all lead into a fifth series Defenders. It was just announced yesterday that they are to be filmed in NYC in Hell's Kitchen. I figure it will be something along the lines of WB's Arrow series. As you said there is also talk of an ABC or ABCFamily 'Agent Carter" based on Peggy Carter during WW2. I'm not sure on that one. I can't really see the appeal unless they use it as a vehicle to introduce the Invaders. Edited February 28, 2014 by Faefrost Quote
Tanma Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 You see when I say aside from the Netflix shows, I mean shows that are not the Netflix shows. I already know about the shows on Netflix. I had just heard a rumor that aside from those shows, there would be some others. Quote
