Ceroknight Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Wow I have never heard of that Avengers Box set! Will there be a DVD one or I'll have to buy a blu ray player... Quote
Mr Man Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Wow I have never heard of that Avengers Box set! Will there be a DVD one or I'll have to buy a blu ray player... I got the DVD version on preorder. Quote
King of Nynrah Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 James Gunn looks likely to direct the Guardians of the Galaxy film. Quote
______ Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 James Gunn looks likely to direct the Guardians of the Galaxy film. I was hoping Joss Whedon would do Avengers 2, he did a fantastic job at Avengers Assemble. We'll see. Has anyone else seen any films James Gunn has directed? Dawn Of The Dead 2004 was awesome in my opinion. Quote
Leo604 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Well, it doesn't seem like Hayley Atwell is returning to play Sharon Carter: http://www.skynews.com.au/showbiz/article.aspx?id=785907 Rather disappointed, myself; she was a really good actress. :( Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Aw, man....I was looking forward to seeing some closure between the two characters. That said, I'm still hoping to see a scene between Steve Rogers and an older Peggy Carter. It was a scene that was originally scripted for The Avengers, but landed on the cutting room floor: Cap/Carter deleted scene It is cool that the new female lead will be a descendant. Maybe a granddaughter? Quote
K-Nut Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 It is cool that the new female lead will be a descendant. Maybe a granddaughter? Sharon (the love interest) is Peggy's niece. Quote

King of Nynrah Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 An alternate opening to The Avengers has been released. Quote
Praiter Yed Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Good find, I still haven't seen the Avengers so the actual opening scene will still be a surprise for me Joss Whedon to co-write and possibly direct the pilot of a S.H.I.E.L.D. tv series. Quote
purpleparadox Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Joss Whedon to co-write and possibly direct the pilot of a S.H.I.E.L.D. tv series. Yeah, I saw a similar article last evening! It's exciting news, isn't it? I personally, can't wait! Quote
King of Nynrah Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Joss Whedon to co-write and possibly direct the pilot of a S.H.I.E.L.D. tv series. Wow, this sounds great! As the article says, let's hope for some flashbacks to give Coulson more screentime! Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 I'm really looking forward to the TV series, it would be awesome if there were some cameos from the Avengers Quote
Leo604 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 There probably will be, but likely at a bare minimum to avoid screwing around with whatever directors and screenwriters have planned for the Phase Two movies. Having SHIELD recruit solo movie sidekicks (War Machine, for instance) would be interesting to see. Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 I've just realized Coulson won't be in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Series because he was killed in the Avengers Unless they decide to place the series sometime before the Avengers Quote

Leo604 Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 If they don't, I'm willing to bet he'll star in some flashbacks. Or resurrect him via Asgard magic or something. That would be sort of anticlimactic, though. Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Even though I really like Coulson, I don't want to see the character revived Quote
King of Nynrah Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Or resurrect him via Asgard magic or something. That would be sort of anticlimactic, though. There were rumours about him being planned to become the Vision in future films, but those are just rumours. Quote
Spider-Man Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 There were rumours about him being planned to become the Vision in future films, but those are just rumours. How would that even work? I think they killed him off way to early, but now that he is dead I think he, sadly, needs to stay that way. Quote
______ Posted September 9, 2012 Author Posted September 9, 2012 I don't know why everyone loves Coulson so much, sure he was pretty cool but not enough for me to be excited by his possible presence in the new Avengers TV series. Now if Spider-Man had a cameo in the TV series I would be far more excited. Quote

Now if Spider-Man had a cameo in the TV series I would be far more excited. That would only work if the movie was set significantly before the events of The Avengers. It shouldn't be a problem if Disney and Sony really want to do it; I don't see why they shouldn't. Quote
purpleparadox Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I don't know whether or not I'm in a minority with this - but I want to see Coulson revived somehow (yeah, it'd probably be magic). But the icing on the "S.H.I.E.L.D. Show Cake" would definitely be an appearance from Spidey. Quote
Walter Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I love Agent Coulson but I wouldn't want them to bring him back. It'd feel like a cheap revival. Something about it wouldn't seem right. Quote

Something about it wouldn't seem right. I agree. Coulson's last words were "It would never have worked if they didn't have someone... to... avenge..." thus bringing new meaning into the Avengers name. Quote
