SandMirror38 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I thought the movie handeld it well, Electro had great character and really devloped well. Harry on the other hand I think should have been introduced -even if just mentioned- in the first ASM, cause he kinda just happens, yes he has a slight character devlopment, but I think they could've done more for Harry. Just my 2 cents :) Quote

How do you feel about Harry being the first Goblin? (if the rumors are true) Quote
SandMirror38 Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 @Tanma I thought it was quite good seeing him as the Goblin. I always thought that the relationship between Harry and Peter or Goblin and Spiderman being more interesting as we see different sides to this battle. So I thought that the battle of Spider and Goblin being more interesting then with Electro... BTW I don't mind answering peoples questions bout ASM2 so anyone got something they're wondering ask away :) Quote
Mr Man Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 How do you feel about Harry being the first Goblin? (if the rumors are true) They are. Norman really doesn't like Harry, I almost think that Norman is using Harry to test the formulas on before trying them himself. Quote
commodore_legolas Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 It is very tempting to read all these spoilers.......... HURRY UP MAY 2ND!!!! Quote
Tanma Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Good news, I finally found the Agent Carter short online. She was just a wave of control and power, with a number of good jokes as well. I eagerly await her getting her own show. On a similar note my sister has suggested that if they do Agent Carter the show it could run on two timelines, Peggy in the past, and Sharon in the present, since they would both be Agent Carter. Thoughts? Quote
Ultron Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Skye was so strong and awesome during tonights episode!!...and then she let ward live. Should've let Deathlok kill him. I wonder what's gonna happen when Talbot and his goons wake up. Quote
Tanma Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Yeah Skye rose a few ranks in my opinion this episode. I really was glad someone pointed out the Nazi thing, because with the Loki apologists out there I can't help but fear that there will be Hydra apologists one day. On the matter of Tahiti, I suppose it makes sense from a narrative point of view that Coulson was involved. And given his recent outbursts and unprofessional behavior, I do wonder if he is indeed suffering the effects of the GH.325. Though I suppose it probably should have had an effect by now. Quote

Hey everyone loves a good villain just not a good nazi But yes I think my favorite part of the episode was Skye telling him he was a Nazi. I loved that part and I too am glad they brought that up. I loved that part and I too am glad they brought that up. You're probably right. I just worry. I really hope next episode we find out what Garrett plans to do with the Gravitonium. Or really what his endgame is beyond engineering super soldiers. I think we only have two episodes left and I worry too many threads will be left hanging. I like to imagine that when Deathlok said, "nothing personal" to Ward he had heard him talk to Skye and was just mocking him. Like since he can't fight back in major ways he just spends every chance he can mocking Ward passive aggressively. The idea humors me. But seriously I hope Mike survives and ends up being a neutral party to the ones in play, at least partly blaming SHIELD for his situation. On another note, how did everyone feel about the special effects with Lola? I had a laugh with them. Edited April 30, 2014 by Tanma Quote
Zilcho Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 . They are. Norman really doesn't like Harry, I almost think that Norman is using Harry to test the formulas on before trying them himself. but Norman's dead?? He can't be using Harry. Quote
SandMirror38 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 @Zilcho Well not at the start of the movie but overtime that 'event' happenes Quote
Mr Man Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) . but Norman's dead?? He can't be using Harry. Well, his head is in the sinister six room at the end of the film. Another fantastic AoS agin. . I like how they had Fitz ask Simmons to say she wasn't HYDRA, it's almost like the writers read the internet . Edit: Also isn't Providence in Canada? How does the US military have jurisdiction there? Because of plot needs? I feel like the riders are paying attention to some degree, otherwise we won't have had that Mary Sue but with Skye. Quote
The Legonater Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 AoS: Loved the dynamic between Ward and Deathlok, Ward playing the 'good cop' but Hydra through and through, with Deathlok the 'bad cop' but still retaining his heart. If the show continues it'll be interesting to see where Deathlok goes. Speaking of which, I really hope the show goes at least into a second season. There was a lot of set up for Graviton or Blizzard to become major villains before HYDRA showed up. Quote
Ultron Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Just saw Spider-man! I thought it was pretty good! I don't know why it's getting such terrible reviews...It wasn't that bad and was a hell of a lot better than Spider-man 3! ( where they ruined Venom....)There's the overlaying arch that's carrying across the movies which is interesting, Electro was super awesome. Green Goblin was meh, he felt kinda shoved in there. I loved how Felicia Hardy was in it. I'm also trying to piece together who I think will be in the sinister 6. I think Beetle might be in it, since they're kind of going with the cross species genetics/animal thing. There were pictures of beetles on the wall in one scene where peter is taking to harry so maybe? I think Scorpion might be in it too. I'm guessing Rhino will be fused with Rhino DNA or something. And Gwens Death was brutal. Her head hit the floor and broke my heart a little. They should've stuck with the bridge though, but all well...Anyone have a feeling we won't be seeing Mary Jane at all in this series? I have that feeling. Maybe he'll fall in love with Black Cat. BrickG Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Generally negative opinions on Amazing Spiderman 2 -Okay after two movies I can confirm I pretty much hate Garfield's Peter Parker. His Spiderman is decent. Better than Toby's Spiderman. But his Peter Parker lacks the nerdiness, awkwardness of Peter Parker. Toby is 100x the Peter Parker Garfield is. I just... cannot stand his Peter... -On the other hand Emma Watson's Gwen is 100x better than Mary Jane :P. I've always felt Mary Jane was a weak character. Just a boring actress/model that really doesn't mesh well with Peter Parker IMO. Gwen has the benefit of actually being an interesting character. -Harry... doesn't have time? That sickness took long enough on his dad. Why did it suggest his time was limited? His dad lived to like 63 or something. He had another like 32 years! "I don't have the time" bullcrap... -Electro's character IMO was ridiculous. First off the gap in his teeth looked horrible. It was clearly just a black line. The character was pretty cliche and I've seen that character type in about 100 things before. "I'm basically invisible so I'll DESTROY" is just... overdone and it was never good in the first place. -Peter Parker's parents didn't have a great story. And why do they need one? Can we have one super hero that doesn't have a mysterious crazy past? Why can't his parents just be dead and NOT interesting? Not that they're interesting :P. -Why wouldn't Peter give Harry his blood? The d00d has 32 years left. He could have had the stipulation that he spends a good while trying to make sure it's safe and stuff... -The oddly personal graduation speech was... odd. She said stuff like "and you have to promise ME".... things that I don't think you'd ever say in a graduation speech. But they had to make it hit Spiderman personally so it's oddly personal. -The ending just pissed me off. He takes some time off, an annoying stupid kids comes to try to stop the Rhino. For some mysterious reason no cops are letting anyone help the kid. Annoying kids leaves. Rhino fight starts! Then... movie over? Wat? Blablabla Besides Gwen these movies have yet to get better than the original 2 (though I'll give that they're better than the horrible 3rd one). I know they just did these to make money and not loose the license... which is depressing. I do not see these as an improvement. Why do something if you can't improve it? Yeah, for the money... which doesn't make it quality. It's not a bad movie. I just don't care about it. Oh and the music is NOTHING compared to the original trilogy soundtrack. It's like super generic and was a bit odd how they even incorporated it into the story sometimes (with Electro). Quote

I'm guessing Harry was running out of time because norman had the green goblin thing within him, that's why he lived to a decent age. Harry doesn't have it yet so the disease was acting fast (I guess)? I personally thought the ending was stupid. They should've kept Spider-man out of the job and then brought him back as spider-man for the next movie when he felt he needed to come back for the greater good. The battle with the Rhino did not need to happen. And I think you mean Emma Stone, not Emma Watson (Although I love both actresses). O, and another thing that's better about these movies is that Spider-man has the web shooters! Love those things. Edited May 2, 2014 by Ultron Quote
Clone OPatra Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Ultron, they originally had scenes shot with an MJ for this film but they decided to cut her out because it was too much. I'm glad they did, since I think that indeed would've been packing too much into this film. Overall I found ASM2 to be much more enjoyable to watch than ASM1, as it at least told one coherent story and not a bunch of little unresolved stories that ended with the dumbest villain ever (yes you, Lizard). Of course the 'big bad corporation that has the power to do everything' isn't at all necessary for good Spidey stories, but that's the route they're going in order to build a ginormous franchise, so… oh well. The original trilogy showed the nice simple side to Spidey, and this one mirrors what happens in comics once things have been running too long: they get cray. Trying to adapt the absurdity that is 'comics after simplicity has been done to death' is an interesting endeavor. Quote
Tanma Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 AoS: Speaking of which, I really hope the show goes at least into a second season. Yeah, I know I often am critical of AoS, but I do want it to continue. I do feel as though the episodes are steadily improving, they still aren't great, but I do think there is potential. And since the status quo of the MCU has been ripped apart in Winter Soldier, there may be a greater chance for rogue superhumans to appear. And of course, as a show it is nice to hear adventures from the MCU without having to wait for the next movie. Quote

Tanma Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 And once again ableism has driven me away from a potential new forum to discuss things on. Well I still have eurobricks. I think they realized the Fans wanted more of an arch to the series rather than a "monster of the week" type show. I wonder how long ago the decision for this final arc stretches. It could have been more time than it appears, since with the big reveal they couldn't have done it until after Winter Soldier. In other news, Any idea on how they could extend the show to another season? It's kind of hard to have a show named for SHIELD, without SHIELD. Quote

As someone suggested above I believe, they could have the last episode be them meeting with Nick Fury in a secret bunker where he has a bunch of trusted agents trying to reform shield or something. That way it could still be Agents of Shield. Quote
Spider-Man Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 (No Spoilers) I personally thought ASM 2 was great. It held my attention the entire time without getting to feel too long. Sure it had some minor things that bugged me, but I don't think it deserves all the negativity it's receiving. The web swinging scenes are by far the best we've ever seen in a movie, and Spidey's fights are really great as well. And that Spidey costume in this movie is just perfect Quote
