Faefrost Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Vincent D'Onofrio will play the Kingpin: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/vincent-donofrio-boards-netflixs-daredevil-710773 Now that could be interesting. Donofrio is a great actor and would bring some impressive depth range and intelligence to the Kingpin. Quote
Darth Lurtz Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I'm actually more excited about this show than I am for most of the upcoming movies. Quote
Cammo Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 First 20 min spoilers from Avengers 2 http://www.movieweb.com/news/avengers-age-of-ultron-first-20-minutes-revealed Quote
Darth Lurtz Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) If these rumors are true, then Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World were mostly pointless. It would also be a waste of the good chemistry shared between Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson. Edited June 11, 2014 by Darth Lurtz Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Only read the head lines. But I don't see how that would be bad, I mean, it almost makes sense if you ask me. Quote
Ultron Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 If these rumors are true, than Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World were mostly pointless. It would also be a waste of the good chemistry shared between Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson. Well weren't all of phase one kind of "pointless" too? Other than establishing the characters and introducing Loki, what did they really do for Avengers? I don't think there was much they could've done for Avengers 2 unless Antman had been in Phase 2 and created Ultron. Thor the dark world was never going to have anything to do with Age of Ultron anyway, other than Thor now being back on Earth. It had more to do with Infinity gems and Avengers 3 than anything. Anyway, I think this is fake. Hulk and Black Widow? Yeah right! And why would Whedon break up Jane and Thor? There's literally no reason for that. Plus the ending of Thor 2 would be pointless if that's true. Quote
Darth Lurtz Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) One of the main parts of Thor: The Dark World, was the relationship between him and Jane. To just have them break-up offscreen goes against what the film was conveying. It does make sense though, Natalie Portman hated her experience on the Thor sequel. Iron Man 3 shows Tony Stark choosing to be with Pepper Potts by getting rid of all of his armors. To have him return as Iron Man right away also goes against what the film was showing. Not to mention that one-shot involving Trevor Slattery screamed damage control. Edited June 11, 2014 by Darth Lurtz Quote
Faefrost Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 If these rumors are true, then Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World were mostly pointless. It would also be a waste of the good chemistry shared between Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson. I can't say I would be displeased with the Thor news. Especially as it opens up a chance to see a bit more of another character that I like. I don't think the Chemistry between BW and Cap was ever meant to be anything more than fun flirty misdirection. They are good friends but Widow is really not Cap's type. Just a little too dangerous and dark for his more traditional tastes. She scares and intimidates him as anything other than a friend. Besides they set up Caps normal and traditional leading lady in Winter Soldier. Some of the other elements of that leak don't feel quite right. I'm not quite buying a BW Banner romance. Mostly because I can see the structure looming for a better, and at this point more traditional, BW pairing in Cap 3. Something that plays more into her backstory. Someone who has been through something similar to what she has and allows that history to come out while at the same time being contrasted with his. Whereas Banner? As much as I loathe the Betty Ross character, it keeps ol' Thunderbolt in the picture, who is one of the MU's more interesting grey characters. And leaves open the potential for the Red Hulk. I don't want more Banner Betty romance I just feel like we need a little more to bring closure and set things up. Maybe have a deranged super villain drop her off a bridge? Oh wait that's been done to death. With Thor anything that shuffles Jane Foster off stage and leaves open more Jamie Alexander is a good thing. Just so long as they don't get rid of some of the Thor supporting cast while doing it. Dr. Selvig has become one of the more intriguing movie only characters, after Coulson. Quote
Tanma Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 The reason I don't buy this is because they changed the end of Thor 2. Originally Thor and Jane were going to end up as friends, and Loki was going to die. This was changed for the final version, where Thor and Jane are still together and Loki, you know. The reason this leak really doesn't make sense is because Whedon was the one who had the ending changed so that Thor and Jane would still be left together and Loki would rule Asgard. Why would he interfere like that, if he was only going to have them break-up off screen. Quote
The Legonater Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Yeah, that is seeming very much fake. Especially with the Avengers just kind of appearing and beating Von Strucker in the first few minutes. That would just be impeccably sloppy writing. Whedon has stated pretty clearly that just because they've assembled once doesn't mean they're yet a cohesive unity. Quote
just2good Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Yeah this must be fake. Yeah, that is seeming very much fake. It sounds plausible to me. And, it's from Latino Review originally, which is always right! Quote
rodiziorobs Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 I can see some scenes from this "leaked" story coming throughout the movie, but no way is this the first twenty minutes. Quote
Zilcho Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Do you think Viper could be shared between Marvel and Fox? She was in The Wolverine, but she's also, in the comics, affiliated with Hydra. What do you think? Quote
The Legonater Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 To be honest, I don't know how she got into Fox's hands in the first place - she's not a mutant, and as far as I know has very little to do with the X-Men. I would say Marvel has the rights to her and Fox skirted around them, but I can't say for certain. Quote
Tanma Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Apologies if this has already been brought up, but supposedly Anthony Mackie was seen during the filming of Avengers 2. I will be so much more excited for Avengers 2 if Falcon is in it. Quote
Zilcho Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 ^ And apparently the iron patriot suit was seen as well! Quote
Captain America fan 1 Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 It seems fake , though the website is normally correct. But that is a ton of action for 20 minutes! What will the rest of the movie be like! On the falcon and iron patriot subject, that is music to my ears. Two of my favorite characters in one movie with Captin America is a must watch for me Quote

I would say Marvel has the rights to her and Fox skirted around them, but I can't say for certain. It's one of those grey areas, but these days she is mostly known for being a major Wolverine villain and as the partner of the a Silver Samurai. So she is probably considered Wolverine supporting cast. Apologies if this has already been brought up, but supposedly Anthony Mackie was seen during the filming of Avengers 2. I will be so much more excited for Avengers 2 if Falcon is in it. ^ And apparently the iron patriot suit was seen as well! I will be so thrilled if they show up in Avengers 2. I just hope Avengers isn't getting too crowded? At this point that gives us Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Falcon, War Machine, plus introducing Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Vision. The only real main players missing are Wasp, She Hulk and Ms. Marvel. Quote
Spider-Man Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 The only real main players missing are Wasp, She Hulk and Ms. Marvel. And I doubt that they will be missing for too long. Marvel needs to start adding a little diversity and some ladies would be a great start! Quote
Faefrost Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 And I doubt that they will be missing for too long. Marvel needs to start adding a little diversity and some ladies would be a great start! Just so long as they avoid Ms. Marvel / Captain Marvel's new outfit in favor of the traditional leotard with thigh high boots. Because sometimes you just gotta go with the classics no matter how sexist it might seem. (Please forgive me, my first introduction to the character was in Marvel Two In One #51. Some of Frank Millers art left a lasting if anatomically questionable impression on my 11 year old mind. Let's just say this comic was obviously written before the invention of the sports bra... And ol' Frank has some well known "issues" and leave it at that. ) Quote
The Legonater Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I don't know, I honestly prefer the Captain Marvel outfit, and it works a lot better with the more 'grounded' look of the MCU movies. Quote
Tanma Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Did someone mention the Wasp? The one problem I have with Carol as Captain Marvel is that she her rank is major, which is higher than captain. But I don't think Marvel has the rights to "Major Marvel." (despite the alliteration) Quote

Maybe they could get around using a leotard by giving her pants or something though. I wonder if the Wonder Woman in Batman Vs Superman will have a unitard. (Or if she's even suiting up in the movie at all) Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 I can't see the picture you posted, but I'm going to assume it's the classic costume. Which, in my opinion, is the best fit for her. Quote
