To the fellow heroes: "Well, I think we can return to the south to Captain Trent and decide how to proceed next."

Thalion nodded, "I agree. Looks like we got the reports we needed. We should take them south, to the captain and prepare for the incoming assault."

Amma looks furious to the elf and turns around. "Well, then try to catch me up. Otherwise we'll meet on the East side I guess!", says Amma before she leaves the rest of the group, walking to the East.

After they agreed and headed south, Thalion spoke to Amma, "Mistress Stigveladi, in the future please refrain yourself from making such rash decisions or actions. Understand that we are here as a group, and like it or not, we depend on each other if this quest is to succeed; so please, try to act as part of it."

"Your men are alright captain. The north side has only a couple of soldiers defending it and was attacked several times, but the east side is secure and was attacked only once. Judging from what we saw, the north side will be most in need of aid. How do your propose we prepare for the next offensive? And how are people here holding up?"

"We are holding up well. Based on the information you learned, including what you'll be facing from the letter you stole, the party should decide what part of town they will defend first. Then second, etc. You should have 6 places you choose to defend."

(EX: 1st, you defend East, 2nd is North, 3rd is South, 4th you go back to East, etc. It doesn't matter if you go to the same place more than once. You can choose any order as long as each side of town is visited at least once.)

Thalion turned to the party, "Alright. We have to chose our patrol route based on what we've seen and the information from the letter. First, do we trust the letter? It was sealed when we found it so it could mean it wasn't even read. But seeing that it was never received, another could have been sent it it's stead. After that we have to make our plan in the form: South, North, East, South, East, North; (order is very important). As most of us here, I too, am not a strategist by trade so this decision has to be joint. Everyone, please give your suggestions."

Posted

"Probably the letter is of truth. So by now the sender must know that it never reached its destination. So there will be an attack on the east side and I think it will be a hard one. We know only less of the southern side of town in my opinion. Due to what we know I would visit every part of the town two times starting with the north side, going to the south side and east side. Then we repeat our patrol route."

Posted

"The sender would know the letter didn't arrive. If they assumed the letter was intercepted then they would change their plans and probably attack the north first and the south last. I suggest north, east, south, north, east, south."

"I could live with that. At least we decide quickly."

Amma still seemed to be grumpy.

"I agree completely with Dreygur, the sender will know if his forces didn't receive his orders and the plan proposed by Dreygur is the simpler change that can be made by the Croise. There are different possibilities of change but, if there aren't other better plan, I support Dreygur's plan"

After that Alexander tries to dig the ground.

OOC: Tomorrow I will be out visiting some parents and therefore I'm not sure I will have the possibility to post. In case of a battle, please Thalion decide you my actions. :-)) Merry Christmas, guys.

"You both jumped to that conclusion. We cannot assume the sender, Croise general, knows that the commander it was meant for has not received the letter. In fact, they DID receive it, they just did not read it - since the seal was intact. Also, they could have left that letter in an unguarded camp on purpose for some Charis scout to find in attempt to confuse them; or something similar. The possibilities are endless, but that's all they are possibilities. Nevertheless, since we have no sure way of knowing what their plan of attack is, I too agree with Dreyrugrs' plan in general. North side is the weakest and we most likely to be attacked either first or hardest or both! So we should pay special attention to it. We could also go with: north, south, east, north, east, north - we don't have to go on each front equal number of times. Forgive me for talking this much I was just thinking out loud, and listing possibilities..."

"What so ever we do we should do it now. Just as Thalion said earlier, based on what we know one plan is as good as another. So if nobody has anything against it we should follow Thalion's plan." Said this Nessa turns to prepare for walking to the northern part of the city.

"The possibilities are endless when you think too much. You are right saying we can not jump to conclusions but if we sit here thinking too long about it the Croise are sure to win. The east was only attacked once so there is probably less need to worry about them. My new suggestion based on Thalion's is north, south, east, north, south, north."

"Thanks, but don't call me master. I don't like it."

Thalion smiled, "I apologize. It stuck with me a long time ago, as a sign of respect for my mentors in Mages Academy; but I will try. On a side note, would you mind borrowing me your amethyst for the duration of the quest? I reckon I could put it to good use..."

Thalion looks at the party, "If someone has something to say or ask now would be the time, but I think we are pretty much set to go."

"I guess we are settled. So let us go. There won't be any questions."

"I understand etiquette is part of the elfish culture. Just letting you know, personal experiences cause me to feel sick to my stomach when I'm called 'master' or similar.

On a side note, would you mind borrowing me your amethyst for the duration of the quest? I reckon I could put it to good use..."

Dreyrugr took a look at his amethyst. A dark glow that attracted him stared back. Could he let this in the hands of another. Common sense built up over a thousand years gave the obvious answer. But still......

"...........Just for the duration of this quest."

Dreyrugr hands over his amethyst to Thalion.

You sit at the North barricade waiting. Suddenly, you see an enormous mass of black, grey, and gold. Suddenly, a rock falls from the sky and hits the barricade, crumbling it. One of the few men standing with you turns and run.

"All right! This is what we came here to do! Lets help these people defend their homes!", shouted Thalion as he span his scepter and prepared for battle.

"Dreyrugr, attack the enemy commander please, since only he will receive full damage if you get him. Janek, Amma, Nessa, take on a different Croise Marksman each. Alexander, help one of them. I will take on Croise Marksman A!"

With that, Thalion attacks Croise Marksman A with darkness spell, from the back row.

"Jonothan, we are with you. Will your men left assist in the battle?"

Nessa picks up her forgotten bow and attacks the Croise Marksman D from the back row.

"Is there anything against me attacking that last marksman?" Nessa asks Thalion and the rest of the party.
