brickdad46 Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Here is my addition to the winter village. I though the citizens needed some adult refreshment to enliven the season. This is the overview of the set. A closeup of the pub. You can see lots of activity inside. :) The brews are created on the second floor and consumed below. More of the inside. All winter sets need a way to transport packages, so here is my version of a sleigh. And the celebants also need a place for some solitude.:) And a final close-up of the front of the pub. I had fun designing and building all of these. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. They will become a part of my winter village display. Cheers. Quote
HundredHander Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 That is a very nice idea, Christmas beer is where it's at. The Lego outhouse is a really nice way to tell the whole story too! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Yes, a timber out-house ! (when you gotta go you gotta go...... ) Very nice structure.....a brewery.....ah, beer or perhaps stout since it's very cold....brass money weather. Good luck in the contest 'brickdad46' and Brick On in the snow too ! Quote
Vindicare Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 This is great. I love the buildings shape. Lively interior too. The outhouse is a fun addition. Great entry! Quote
stebai Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Lovely work on the big tree, infact love all your trees! I like the way you've intergrated the white bricks in with the more trad greens. Top drawer entry. Quote
tomdobs55 Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Love those trees! The pubs pretty good too...but those trees are awesome!! Quote
LegoFan03 Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I like it a lot! It has characters. I can see this to become an official Winter Village set. Well done, Brickdad46! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I think it is very fitting in style to the rest of the line. A pub would make sense for when the adults need some time away from the children. I agree that the trees look awesome, but are those white leaves on the big tree actual LEGO? You may have to modify that bit to fit in with the rules. But I could be mistaken. Thanks for showing us. Good luck in the contest. It should add some good competition. Quote

Those are white leaves are real Lego parts. They are hard to find though. I happened upon them several years ago and have been waiting for the chance to use them. And thanks foe all of your generous comments. Quote
Teh Stud Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Funny all the tree hugging going on. Yes, the trees are nice, but I love the brewer on the second floor filling kegs from the large kettle! I also like the string of lights outside. This is a really nice build, and I would say so even if he wasn't my dad. ;) Quote
