M'Kyuun Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I just went back and rewatched the Umbaran story arc...4 of the best episodes in the CW series, IMHO. I have to agree with LEGO's helmet choice being inaccurate for the Umbarans, and I'd have preferred we got two of the more notable Clones from those eps, perhaps Fives and Hardcase, instead of Ahsoka. Capt Rex would be a good choice as well, but I believe he's already been in a couple of sets. Anyway, these eps featured a number of cool Umbaran war machines that, hopefully, will become sets. Quote
GandalftheAWESOME Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 (edited) Great review! For this set I feel they were to stingy on the minifigures and you should get more as 4 in an 60 pound set is ridiculous Edited January 6, 2013 by GandalftheAWESOME Quote
pedro Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Isn't this set going to retail at most £59.99? Regardless, this set has really grown on me ever since I watched the Battle of Umbara. The MHC features heavily and is a formidable foe! The model looks big, solid and fun to build and I really love the Umbaran minifigs, I'd be tempted to buy more on Bricklink over and above buying the set. Despite Ahsoka not actually being present at this battle, this new minifig is nice new take on her, with a shedload more attitude than before! Only issue is the 212th trooper: I like him, but why couldn't he have been orange like Commander Cody (part of the 212th also) to keep it consistent? Unless there's a new version of Cody in the post? And really, why can't we start seeing some variations in clone troopers instead of that same, wooden expression and eternal glass-eyed stare? We've seen it already with Rex and Wolffe... surely some further variations wouldn't hurt? All in all though, this is in my top 2 from this wave. Really looking forward to getting my hands on it. Thanks very much for the pics and review Moexy! ;) Quote
Chieffy765 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Is the 212th trooper yellow? When it's next to Ahsoka it looks noticeably lighter, but not quite yellow. Could it be that light orangeish color like the beak on the mini ninjago flame dragon polybag's beak? Sorry I don't know the color name. Quote

Could it be that light orangeish color like the beak on the mini ninjago flame dragon polybag's beak? Sorry I don't know the color name. TLG calls it 191 Flame Yellowish Orange, Bricklink calls it Bright Light Orange. It's a very nice color IMO; I'm glad it's been appearing more often in System lately. It's been around for over seven years, and replaced the earlier color 105 Bright Yellowish Orange (Bricklink's Medium Orange). Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Great review, not sure what photos you added but they all look good. The price of this set will probably push me to wait until I can find a good/decent sale. I really hope the 212th Clone shows up in future sets. Quote

I'm sure it wont look too bad next to Commander Cody. Quote

DrasticPlastic Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Really impressed with this set - although I had initially been less than impressed. It's really well built, the minifigs are good and overall it's a set that's much better in the flesh than pictures might suggest Quote
