KZB Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 for me it's definitely must buy, one of the best superheroes sets so far Quote
Faefrost Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Just got this one on a whim, and was very pleasantly surprised. The figs are great. And Nick Fury's car is a fantastic little build. A ton of play value for a 6 wide. Looks great. Just everything you could want for the price. As a Spiderman purist the "Spider Cycle" deeply offends me. But it looks good enough sitting under a different hero. Quote

Savage Oppress Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 the set is great but the thing for venom's tentacles is poorly designed and you can not snap Venom's head in when it is on. Quote
Luke Styer Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 As a Spiderman purist the "Spider Cycle" deeply offends me. But it looks good enough sitting under a different hero. I think it looks more like the motorcycle from the Nolan Batman movies than anything Spider-Man would have. Quote
ticktockclock Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 This is definitely one of the coolest sets I've purchased. I mainly bought this for the chassis pieces that allow the wheel movement, and we've got one for both a car AND a motorcycle. I agreed with what you said about the SNOT pieces in front of the windshield. I've started making some minor tweaks on my car to make it more suitable to my own tastes, including removing the side mirror pieces and replacing with a more discreet flat tile. Makes it look cleaner IMO. I think the black/green/yellow combination on the front looks sweet, so I added some more yellows and a grille. The back-end I thought was very flawlessly executed so I don't have many gripes there. I did redo the interior a bit though. I darkened it up and added some more "control panel" pieces to the cockpit. Anyways, kudos to they guy who designed this car. Definitely the coolest vehicle i've put together. I'll probably keep this together for a while. Quote
legogollum Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Thanks for the info! I'll get this sometime. Quote
Amset-Rah Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 TBH, I am not the biggest fan of the new Spider Man cartoon (Give me the 60s or 90s cartoons or even the Toby MacGuire films), but I have to admit, that car is worth the price of admission alone. The hidden flick-fire, though unimpressive to some, is a lot better than, say, the S.H.I.E.L.D. truck from Cosmic Cube Escape having two flick-fires sticking out of the sides. The minifigs look stunning, as usual (Especially Venom). Spidey's bike is awesome too, but I still love the car a bit more (Mainly because I don't particularly like oversized bikes like what we got in some Batman sets). Quote
Sam892 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Picked this set up yesterday. I was holding off buying any of the new 2013 lego sets until, I could make a trip to my nearest LEGO store ( VIP points and I'm not a big fan of postage costs). However I saw this in my local supermarket and gave in. I new this set would be incredible, but as soon as I opened the box my mind was blown. The Figures are incredible and both vehicles are amazing. By far one of the best Superhero sets, 3 Figures, 2 vehicles and all for £20. The only problem I had was that the bags were numbered, but that's just my personal tastes in not likely that. Can't wait to pick up the bugle in March, when I head to Milton Keynes LEGO store. Quote
Repeter Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Am I the only one who loves the show this set is based on? It has top-notch humor and writing, great action and a fresh, new (and welcome, imo) take on the Spidey mythos. I am very tired of the same stories, rehashed again and again. As a bonus, a huge number of possible minifigs lurk within... I agree with many in this thread about this set: Great price, awesome minifigs and some really cool vehicles. Quote

Jacob Carroll Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Just about average to me. The things that really make it for me are the black spine pieces, but why buy the set when you can just go to Brinklink? Quote
Bissspuren Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Anyone Else seeing a fat lady's backside when looking at venoms frontside printing? Quote
