About the misspelling, Lego Customer Service still doesn't have a solution for this problem so phoning them at the moment will not get you anywhere!

I will be sent an e-mail when a solution is presented! and will post it here.

I got mine set 5 days ago in Germany. Compared to the review there is a difference in the box art. In the review there is french writing at the side of the box.

The one I got is completely in english.

Did someone notice these variations?

How is the printing in your country?

You most certainly got the European box version, which has a lot less writing on it. The North American boxes have to have everything in three languages (English, French and Spanish).

here is a nice HR version of the three different models together!

Enjoy! :classic::classic::classic:

Despite the great review here that everyone is praising, I still feel this set looks very poor. I don't know if it is the ugly tires or what. The figures look cool, but this car is not very easy on the eyes. :sceptic:

Someone in a nearby LUG posted pictures of them putting the original slope on the car. He stated he didn't modify it at all, just put that on and it fit just fine. He was really pleased with how it looked. I thought it still looked a bit steep for how the car is supposed to be, but the stepped tile approach doesn't look the best either. Either way, it seems like it can be done pretty easily.

The nearby LEGO store also sold out within the first day they had them on the shelf. Granted, they only got 15 in. So I think this will be a hot seller, especially with the holiday season coming up later in the year.

Well the spelling mistake is shown on the box, so it's not like they are misadvertising. They don't really have a responesbility to solve anything.

My guess is if they fix it they'll just quietly update the part somewhere down the line.

I certainly think that makes it look a lot better. Still not perfect, but definitely better than the tile steps.

Yeah, with a little modding, I'm gonna try to make this when I get the set.

I think that looks worse. Yes, the hood is smoother and that's good but the contour and fatness looks worse and un-delorean.

Here's my attempt to fix the front.

Maybe the new 1x1 ball joints from the upcoming "Mixels" range will be able to used for the front windscreen pillars?

The official release date is August 1st, but lots of LEGO stores have already put them on the shelves. My local store already sold out the first day they put it out. I think on the 18th.

Yes, i know that. I asked because I need to know the price in Europe. Some days ago, the set appeared in the Shop with the price por 39,99€, but in cuusoo blog, TLC says 34,99€.

I feel the same way. The movies were great, but the model just looks too simple and amateurish. It's great for a City set, but not so much for a special theme set. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the high levels of details and complexity of Technic sets. I bet it would look fricking amazing if they made a Delorean Technic set.

I was about to agree with you, and then I saw Lego Shop at Home's ridiculously overcharged price for The Netherlands.

Come on Lego €49,99 are you serious? In Germany it's €39,99 and in the UK it's 34,99 pound (Which is about €40,-)

I can understand a €10,-/€20,- difference between Germany and The Netherlands when it concerns a Lego Technic Flagship model or something similar in size, But €10,- extra on such a small set is unforgivable.

Lego can expect an email with my complaint about this soon.

As it does not seem anymore on S@H I wonder at what price it will be for Belgium, but I am afraid that it will be the same as NL :/

I hope that at least France will get it at a reasonable price, as the closest German store is twice as far as the one of Lille...

Yeah, I can see you'd need a very, very different model for that to work. It is a shame, though, because that and a motorized LR Constitution would have been perfect.

You can use other parts to make tracks. There's no way you'd get a proportionate Delorean compared to the minifigure if you threw it on the track specific parts. Those tracks are just too small.

Again, here's a "100% Lego-Legal" hood fix for the Cuusoo Delorean, plus you can do it almost entirely using just the parts that come with the set.

I'm really surprised that the designers did not opt for this nice simple solution. Perhaps they can issue a "fix-it-kit" like they did for the Shuttle Adventure!
