Pandora Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Nyx nods her thanks to Cronk as he heals her back to full health, and not long after her eyes widen as Atramor's actions cause the enemy cleric to heal the entire party. "Wow, Atters, now that's how to heal. Shame you can't do that all the time. " Having sent a good sized fireball off at her last target, she switches her attention to the Pongcanis Warrior A, and smiles that smile as she prepares yet another Fireball from the back row. OoC I assume we're leaving the Archers for free hits and thus counterstrikes just now? If not, just redirect me to one of those, Cornelius. Quote

I would be so sad if they came here to pray and there were still Bombsters and monster machines. And now there is blood." Gnash, I might be able to hook you up with a trainer. There is always the unfortunate cost of payment, however. "Where did you say you were from, boy? You'd fit in well enough in Dastan, I think. Those are strong words." There is a very good chance Wren does not know of the spires there, so we can hope that they will never have anything to report.> "So, what is our plan of actions now that we've seen to that shrine?" Felton turns. "For now, we wait. We cannot figure out where the next few spires are, these notes are skimpy at best. I believe Byblos, or whomever wrote these, purposely made the locations difficult to discern so that those who meant to do harm could not find them. CMP Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 "Get up, fool." Atramor grumbled, sitting up and rubbing the side of his head. His last memory was being hit twice by the warrior's flail....had he been knocked out? A quick look around the standing heroes and corpses made it obvious enough. McCafferey's feathery head loomed above him, standing atop the shop's counter. He grabbing the chicken, stuffing her on his shoulder, annoyed, and stood, taking but a moment to heal himself, Hans, and Cronk. Thothwick was mysteriously absent. "Aye, fine, let's see what you have," he half-hissed at the clerk. "You owe us, in any case." Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Good work, friends. Pongcanis Brew for Atramor, Tonic for Hoke, 10 gold for Nyx, and Bone for Thothwick. Cronk will heal Thothwick. Are prices already half off, Mr. Clerk? And it is first purchase from each of friends, correct? Quote
Zepher Posted January 3, 2013 Author Posted January 3, 2013 "No, the prices have not yet been cut! And its the first item purchased by each person, yes." Quote
The Legonater Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Gnash, I might be able to hook you up with a trainer. There is always the unfortunate cost of payment, however. ... I hail from Duplovia, the shining city across the sea. I've never been to Dastan before, however. How is it? As I wait for a reply, I help Arthur back up How are you? You looked pretty beaten up when Alexis went down. Are you going to be alright? Quote
UsernameMDM Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 (edited) Hoke flips open the visor of his helmet to better inspect his handiwork. This battle was truly a team effort. He walks over to Atramor to offer a hand up. "You should probably stand by me in the battle order. I have enough defense and Vipera's blessing to take the hits. Your abilities are better suited to the party the longer you can stay in the fight." Hoke looks around for places to explore and treasures to find with his pickaxe and shovel. Hoke turns as Cronk taps him on the shoulder a tosses him the Tonic. "Thanks my friend. May I borrow your Twin Broadswords? They may come in handy in battle, and you do not look like you will be using them soon in your blessed state. And if we have time, I would like to rest on my bedroll." Hoke looks longingly at the Grating Stone but chuckles as he examines the sad contents of his coin pouch. "Maybe next time." Edited January 3, 2013 by UsernameMDM Quote
Flipz Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 As I wait for a reply, I help Arthur back up How are you? You looked pretty beaten up when Alexis went down. Are you going to be alright? Arthur takes the hand. "...No. No I will not," he says quietly. "Assassin, you are as much an enigma to me as Wren is to--well,to us all. You ally yourself to Order, yet you still show...care...concern towards those who do not support it. That is...not my usual experience with those aligned to Law. How can this be? Why do you not join the others in labelling me 'insane' or 'deranged'? Why are you the only one who saw 'hurt' instead?" Quote

I sat there and watched as everything I knew turned its back on me. I screamed for help and none came. But now I work for stabilization. You know this. I believe part of that stabilization is to help all who need it, if you can. If you are capable of helping others and instead push that aside, you can count yourself worse than those you are fighting. Quote
CMP Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 (edited) Atramor sniffed the odd brew, and stowed it in his cloak. "Thanks, Cronk...s'pose the important thing is we beat the crap outta them." He glanced towards the counter of supplies, and picked up a Grating Stone, examining it. "Could ya' do 60 gold for this? Can't imagine it's too much of a stretch, I nearly just died savin' your megablocks..." Edited January 4, 2013 by CallMePie Quote
Flipz Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 (edited) Arthur give Rone a funny look. "You and I seek similar things, I think, merely in different forms." Arthur sighs. "Sometimes pursuing destiny is painful. It has been so in my past, and I always thought it would be in my future, but somehow I didn't expect it to hit me so hard. I am still so weak in my craft. A mature user of Chaos would ride with the eddies of fate, be able to take disaster in stride...that is, after all, the whole point of the philosophy. And yet...I feel so...so powerless. And still to know, that, in the end, I must face her? That I, and I alone, am responsible for the redemption of all of Chaos, in the eyes of my supposed 'friends,' in the eyes of the world? I walk a lonely road, the only one that I have ever known. I don't know where it goes, but I'm the only one, and I walk alone. My path is an empty street upon the boulevard of broken dreams; all the while, the city sleeps in its ignorance, and I'm the only one, and I walk alone." "Many people are bothered by their...'inner darkness', their 'shadow side'. The part of them they think is negative. But that's the thing: so-called 'negative' aspects aren't in themselves good or bad; they're just...there. Natural. It's what we do with them that counts. As for me...my shadow's the only thing that walks beside me. My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating. Sometimes I'd wish someone out there would find me, and 'till then I'd walk alone. But now..." the Sorcerer looks to Alexis. "I've finally found someone who's happy to take me as I am, someone I can care about without fearing she'll rip my heart out, literally OR figuratively...and all I do is worry, and cry, and tear myself up with guilt and fear and anguish. I embraced Chaos to get away from judgement...especially self-judgement...so why am I still trapped in it?" Edited January 4, 2013 by Flipz Quote
