CMP Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Atramor swears quite loudly as Nyx is downed. He's at least able to save Poletad and take one of the undead out of the equation, but the loss of their best damage dealer was a serious blow. "Okay....Dyric, keep on Zee, and hit Ancient Dead F. Thothwick, take Recent Dead C, and use one of those Grand Potions on Dyric, we can't take the risk of trying to heal, which, incidentally gives me an idea. Poletad, go ahead and heal Ancient Undead B from the back row." The witch raises Ratsbane again - this time, he uses it to redirect healing instead, realizing it was unaffected by row, and tried to heal Ancient Dead E and Recent Dead A, from the back row. Professor Flitwick Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Thothwick listens to the Witch's suggestions, bites his lip, and nods. He attacks Zee from the back row with his Banana Sabre, and then turns to heal Dyric with one of his Grand Potions. Quote

Mephisto hasn't been captured, Zander and Zee won't go alive-- Zander is too stupid, and Zee is unable. I'm your best bet. I'm also the only sane member of that court, believe it or not. That's why they made me the fool." What will the party do? Hoke uses his Diplomacy skill: "How can we trust that you will not cause any trouble for us?" Quote
Flipz Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 "What do you mean, just a distraction? We're no distraction. A distraction for whom?" The clerk pokes his head over the counter again. "Are you people going to get out of my store?" Atramor checks the hat: Jester's Hat (Artifact, Headgear: Hero may gain one immunity that target has) "A distraction for Wren. I don't know if you realized this, but she was hiding you from our monitoring of the city. We chased after you and the rest of the Court--not knowing who or what you were--because we assumed you were her next strike on the Doors. " Arthur turns to the rest of the party. "It doesn't take a student of Chaos like myself to know what's happened here. Obviously, she did this to divert our attention away from whatever her real objectives are." When the clerk pops his head above the counter, he spares a glance for the man. "That depends. Are you or any of your assistants injured? Do you require any assistance? If not, do you have anything for sale?" Arthur begins straightening up the store, doing his best to clean up the mess caused by the battle. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 "Distraction..." Hoke thinks to himself... "If the Court is a distraction, then shouldn't we be suspect of how we first came to learn about the Court? The wanted posters in the Hall." Hoke whispered as quietly as he could to Arthur. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Skrall pocketed one of the nostrums handing the other to Hoke as well as 2 of the Remedies and 18 Gold with a grin, "Here, you should think about usin' these once in a while." "Haldor, take one of these potions. No questions next time my friend, I haven't gone crazy yet," the Ogre smiled before handing him 20 Gold and 2 more of the remedies, pocketing the last 2 for himself along with 10 Gold. Skrall grabbed one of the potions before handing off the last 2 to Arthur. "Go ahead and keep the hat Regulus." The Ogre turned his attention to Zane, "Now then, ya say ya want a word with the Gray Wizard, what do you have to offer him? Be quick about it, our time is limited if the words of my companions are to be believed." Loot: Skrall: 10 Gold, 1 Potion, 1 Nostrum, 2 Remedies Haldor: 20 Gold, 1 Potion, 2 Remedies Hoke: 18 Gold, 1 Nostrum, 2 Remedies Arthur: 2 Potions, Jester's Hat Quote
Flipz Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Arthur slips the Jester's Hat on his head and leans in to whisper to Skrall. "Gray did mention when we first arrived on the Quest that he wanted us to negotiate with the Court. I think now's as good an opportunity as we're going to get; who knows, maybe this guy knows a way to call off the rest of his allies. If we can convince the Court to aid us, then it'll be that many more people we won't have to fight, plus they might even be a help against Wren, crazy as that sounds. I'm about as much a fan of these guys as you--Chaos users don't usually get along well under the best of circumstances--but we need all the help we can get. Besides, we can grab Hans from base on our way to check on Triad and Mallelio--we'll likely need the extra help, especially if we have to split the party even further..." Not for the first time, Arthur wishes he could recruit De'kra for extra support, but, remembering the sort of danger he'd be putting the diminuitive echo in, he pushes the thought aside. Still, he takes a moment to whip out his journal. De'kra-- I don't have a lot of time, but here's a long story made short: the city of Eubric is as great as it is because of a number of Doors of Chaos that have been left just slightly open, so that a little Chaos is let in (enough to make life possible and even thrive) but not enough to cause disaster. Wren wants to open these doors. I...I think one of them is within the Hall. I want you to stay on guard. Keep the Heroes inside safe, and be ready--ready to fight, or ready to lead the others to safety. Either way, there will not be much time, so be safe--safe and swift. Wren threatens our Unity, confuses and obscures our Duty, and tries to usurp our Destiny--but we must and will stop her. I have faith in you, De'kra: you are, truly, the Hero and guardian this city--no, the entire Free Islands--needs. --Arthur Quote

Mandy should continue to bash Zander. Cronk will use first turn to bash Master A from back row. Then Cronk will heal Gnash from back row. Felton, bash Magician from back row. The Legonater Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 OOC: I was using the Cat 'O' Nine Tails both times Quote
CMP Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 (edited) You took Damage both times, doesn't matter what you were using. I'm Encouraged, Zeph, I think I should do 20 damage. Recent Dead B should no longer be Hexed. Atramor nearly chews off the inside of his mouth, but Poletad's healing saved them quite a bit of time. He still felt as if his blood was boiling, by both the Pongcanis Brew and the imposing stress of this battle. He raised both hands, trying to heal both Recent Dead A and B, from the back row, fueled almost entirely out of hate and frustration. "Thanks, mate. Don't quit tryin' to avenge Nyx, heal Ancient Dead B from the back row. Same targets, everyone. Thothwick, hit Ancient Dead E rather than usin' your potion." Suggested actions; Atramor heals Recent Dead B, back Atramor heals Recent Dead A, back Thothwick attacks Zee, back Thothwick attacks Ancient Dead E, back Dyric attacks Recent Dead C, back Dyric attacks Ancient Dead F, back Poletad heals Ancient Dead B, back Edited January 10, 2013 by CallMePie Quote
